    There are four playable characters, each with his/her own unique story-line. Select your heroes and help them face their dark past.

    - Xia: A primagus from the East with the mastery over prime elements.
    - Griselda: A necromagus with rare ability to control dark ether.
    - Svas: A Blood Hunter master of gadgets and the bowgun; a feared assassin of the night.
    - Lucion: A Knight Templar reputable to be the one chosen to wield the godblade Lorelei.

    - Retro Dungeon-Crawling Experience
    Enjoy traditional gameplay reminiscent of dungeon crawlers RPGs from the 90s. The battles are challenging yet rewarding, along with a multitude of quests, hidden enemies and treasures around every corner! In addition, DarkEnd also features flexible skill trees that allow you to shape your hero to your liking and tactical needs!

    - Play as you please
    There are 4 difficulties which will allow you to either fully experience the game or simply blitz through. Do not like grinding for EXP? Turn on the "Milestone Leveling System" and your heroes will level up automatically as the story advances.The choice is yours!

    - High Replay Value

    Those looking for a genuinely exceptional JRPG that stands out from the Final Fantasies and Dragon Quests have better alternatives — even within the dungeon crawler niche — to consider first.

    A solid 2D-RPG & Dungeon Crawler, make by a passionate indie studio "Kodots Games" & definitely one of the best traditional RPGs made by RMA solid 2D-RPG & Dungeon Crawler, make by a passionate indie studio "Kodots Games" & definitely one of the best traditional RPGs made by RM Engine..

    In DarkEnd, You'll play as a pair chosen from 4 unique characters, both gameplay & story-wise, tackling through ever-shifting dungeons.. Battles within these places are of endurance type & how you approach each battle is up to the player with freedom of equipment & accessory choice, flexible skills system, so adapting to each encounter is the key to survival..
    The opening scene may "seems" generic, but in-game atmosphere & minimalistic story-telling will keep the player intrigued while on the 10-15 hour ride per playthrough, with the brilliant execution of the plot-twists & Informations that answers some questions, while raising some other.. When the player has followed through with the stories of all 4 characters, you'll have your every answers..
    & DarkEnd has the most interesting Boss fights.. There's never a dull moment when fighting the bosses, there're many unique twist & turns in these fights, not at all like modern immunity bosses or HP tank bosses..

    All in all, DarkEnd is a reminder of everything we loved about playing a traditional RPG & a refresher of how they can be better.. If you're an avid RPG player like me, who's thinking modern RPGs has lost some of the glamour nowadays, You'll enjoy this little treat..    … Expand

    I'm not very used to "RPG Maker" games, this genre of games that look like the old Nintendo DS Pokemon games (only reference I have of theI'm not very used to "RPG Maker" games, this genre of games that look like the old Nintendo DS Pokemon games (only reference I have of the genre).

    The game seems ok, the art style seems ok and even the story seems nice. But I found the game boring and uninteresting and honestly I could not go deeper.

    I do not know if it is me, and the lack of knowledge and interest in the genre, or if it is the game itself. But on Steam, I see in other reviews, that it is not a favorite of the genre.
    So I can't really recommend something I honestly did not like...    … Expand
