    Historical and political games are not always exciting. This game is one of the good ones.     Reality check: There is nothing right with Dark Years. Saying it's good out of Iranian pride makes you a liar. Saying it is good consideringReality check: There is nothing right with Dark Years. Saying it's good out of Iranian pride makes you a liar. Saying it is good considering its modest origins makes you condescending. It's a mess. An ugly, buggy mess that has the right to be released but not to be sold. Many an amateur has done better than that.

    It's pretty hard for me to find a good thing to say about this game. Come to think of it, it's also pretty hard to chose its worst aspect:
    - It's definitely as ugly as a turkey's sphincter (what do you mean, you've never seen one ?) I mean, I can forgive cheap textures, but at least align them on your models, come on !
    - The story is incomprehensible.
    - The gameplay is mostly made of running through long empty streets.
    - Invisible walls, spinning camera, bad voice acting, no saves, wasd controls... ok, I choose one, otherwise I'm here for hours: the mini-teleportations of the main character when changing directions. I had never seen that one before.

    Let's face it, Dark Years is a turd. The only reason it doesn't get a 0 is because it is functioning, which is kind of a prowess, all things considered.    … Expand
