Danger Zone 2 is a crash based game inspired by burnouts crash mode and in fact was made by multiple devolopers from the original burnout..
unfortunately thought much like crash mode.. this feels like just a mode..
doesn’t come close to feeling like a complete game..

Danger Zone 2 is a crash based game inspired by burnouts crash mode and in fact was made by multiple devolopers from the original burnout..
unfortunately thought much like crash mode.. this feels like just a mode..
doesn’t come close to feeling like a complete game..
This game features 23 challenges across 3 different regions as well as 3 bonus challenges after you complete the game,
and all of this can be seen in less than 2 hours..
The concept of the game is simple, for each challenge youre given a different vehicle to drive, youre given an optional task which guarantees you at least a bronze metal and your job is to just make it to the danger zone causing as much damage as you possibly can along your way, and depending on the challenge or car, the strategy pf creating damage and causing crashes changes each time, some smaller vehicles will cause you to instantly crash and fail for example, some challenges are all about boost chains so youll actually be trying to avoid traffic, racing through these streets is thrilling, and every challenge does have a number of vehicles for you to cause crashes for so youre able to cause a destructive explosion and the end of track, so the destruction and the damage isn’t over until its over.
theres no challenge that feels unfair or frustrating, however I just don’t feel there was enough done here to make this feel like anything more than a standalone burnout mode that has no reason to be standalone, there are again 3 different regions, but if the game never told you this you wouldn’t know, every track aside from a couple with giants gaps in them look and feel the same, I would’ve liked to see things get a bit arcady and over the top taking a chapter from the book of split/second for example, like I don’t know give me boulders and random explosions, anything to make tracks memorable, make them stick out, but nothing like that is done here..
this is all about score chasing, and with a pretty awful trophy list I feel no incentive to chase these scores or replay tracks, one playthrough was enough for me
I had fun, the game is thrilling at times.
but theres just no meat here, no hook.
I give danger zone 2
a 6/10… Expand
