Just to be honest here guys, I gave thee game a 10, because the 6.2 currently is really not representing the quality of the game. I personally think it should be more around an 8,5, close to a 9 and here is why:

+ Graphics are amazing + Music is cool and fits the game of you wandering a big city + Gameplay is good as well (fighting, battles, etc.) + Characters are very well played

    + Graphics are amazing
+ Music is cool and fits the game of you wandering a big city
+ Gameplay is good as well (fighting, battles, etc.)
+ Characters are very well played and acting good
+ There are enough RPG mechanics (e.g. background, looting, talent three, etc.) that make (standard) RPG fans happy. (But its not Path of Exile :))
+ On PC there are a bit of bugs, but really not game breaking, mostly visuals which I really do not care about (e.g. flying sigare)
+ I dont know with what kind of hardware other guys are playing but I have no performance issues at all with i7 6700k processor and Nvidia 1080GTX TI.

    - The world is full with people but at the same time empty, because they cannot talk back to you besides saying "Hi" or "Whatsup"
    - The choice dialog (so far) is linear in the main story
(Side quests I do not know yet, but I understood that the side quests actually are more open and impact the main quest) (Still have to confirm this)

Summarized, very overhyped and lots of disappointments as you can read in the reviews, but nevertheless still a very good RPG.

Hope this gives you a better understanding of the game right now.

    Some thoughts:
Car driving was supposed to move from place to place, improve your character in points of interests or do missions. In reality it allows you only to turn your car into cannon ball and smash everything in front of you because UI for it is just terrible. Running through city is much more effective. You can eat, drink beer, sit on chairs only when story line allows you to. Shooting is like - keep shooting until you will place 75 bullets in someone or run out of ammo. Then load saved game. RPG part are almost non existing. You cannot add new skills (there are just 2 or 3 which change something) or really develop. You can tweak existing skills by a few percent but In reality you can ignore it and start researching the rpg part after level 9 or 10...
Definitely game is not for me. I am glad I bought the electronic version and after a many hours of playing (just a 2 days though) they give me my money back.

Fuuuuulllll of bugs graphic problem looks like a game from the past but with low fps. Npcs totally break the immersion which is a must for an RPG game. Unplayable on ps4. But it does not work for a city filled with what should be interactable people, locations, activities, etc.

The lack of compelling AI, likable characters in a shallow story with little player impact, and a hollow, open-world make this a bit bizarre. Melee combat has no weight. Gunplay is just at the bar of playable. The UI, keybinds, etcetera are a total mess. And the RPG elements might as well not exist—the whole game reeks of something that needed another year or two. It has some nice graphics if you have a beefy rig.

But even then, much of the gloss and glimmer appears like tacky neon-lit plastic. It's disappointing. Still, it's a mostly playable game (I have had around 4 crashes across 20 hours, one of which forcibly shut down my machine, which for having an i9 / 2080 RTX is somewhat crazy).

I would not recommend it in its current state as much more than that. A barely playable amalgam of hopes and dreams without the punch of a great story or flare of a dynamic, thrilling cyberpunk world. What good it has is squandered by hollow spectacle without much depth.

Warning: This is a long review. So take time to read this

All of us need to accept that the Witcher 3 wasn't a good game gameplay wise, it wasn't a fully RPG experience. Witcher 3 isn't for everyone, the game shines in it's story, narrative, characters, pacing and lore but keeping them aside, the open world and the NPCs were pretty much basic and the world interaction was very minimal.

However, Witcher 3 was a success and was the first AAA standard game by CDPR. But CDPR, being confident after the success of Witcher 3, tried to pull this game but honestly, CDPR should've probably not made this game.

First CDPR build up their reputation as one of the best companies in video game, they heavily marketed this game, and also featured people like Keanu Reeves. I think Keanu Reeves is also a big point of this game. In the 2018 game demo, we had a subway and a wall running mechanic, both of them scrapped. By 2019, people have build enough trust on CDPR that this game is going to be groundbreaking, phenomenal. CDPR Marketing team added more ice to an already tasty looking cake by promising that Night City is the most lived in looking city ever created in a video game, we have 1000 NPCs who have their routines scripted, night city has tons of activities etc. More people jumped into this bandwagon. Many expected it to be GTA but in future. Also the game was marketed as Open world sci-fi RPG.

Now when the game delayed the third time, it already began to appear that this game is going to be a buggy mess. But even by this point, many had hopes that this game will have enough content to keep them busy for months

Now fast forward to November 2019, with console footages. The first crack has already appeared. There was no base PS4 or Xbox One footage, and the game even on the upgraded versions of these old consoles weren't able to maintain 30fps. This was the first sign of alarm. But still we have high hopes that Night city is going to feature lots of content.

Even Reviewers like Skill Up said that this game deserved the hype. BUT let's be honest, CDPR alongside journalists and the fanboys actively fooled us.

Now here's how the actual game is, first the character customization doesn't feature sliders and more options, so you can't mimic yourself in the game. Secondly there are 3 lifepaths and I enjoyed all the three lifepaths. In fact, the story, the writing and the characters, the graphics are amazing. I can give it a 9.5/10 on that department. But when you are just travelling in the world looking for activities, this game is underwhelming.

So the positives are good story, characters, music and writing as well as the scripted action moments.

But here are the negatives, NPCs barely look like humans but more like mad robots, NPCs appear and disappear out of nowhere, NPCs have pretty basic AI, all NPCs just fall to the ground when you kill someone, the Cops appear out of nowhere and doesn't even come with vehicles, you can't drink or eat except from scripted missions, you can't buy food, the NPC interaction is very minimal, they just ask you to f**k off when you talk to them, they repeat the same lines, NPC's T-pose, NPCs walk straight to buildings, they just stand in one area, you can't play games on arcade machines, there are no random encounters between police and cops, the shooting doesn't feel good, the ragdolls are very basic, the driving is bad, the UI is complicated, the crafting is bad, sometimes gun and hand doesn't align together along, there is no barber shop, no mini games with another 200+ bugs.
So how is this world the most lively and believable open world in a video game?
But worst of all, the performance is just so bad. Look at RDR2, it's NPCs have good AI, the game looks and runs great on 8th gen consoles, always having FPS above 28, there are some NPC heavy scenes but they don't drop performance. You can buy food in the game, rob a shop, watch a random gunfight, go to fishing, have a hair cut etc. There is no excuse that the game is very badly optimized. This game should have released next year. CDPR is not a god because of just one successful game, I always embraced CDPR but now I also hate their false promises.

When this game is firing on all cylinders, it looks nothing short of stunning. One of the big complaints with Witcher 3 was the lighting engine downgrade, which had ripple effects through many other aspects of the game. Textures and geometry were also downgraded, sometimes significantly. That is not the case here. Textures look stunning. The lighting is absolutely excellent. The one minor complaint I have is with rain. Rain that falls on surfaces, like windows for example, looks good, but the actual rain itself isn't the least bit impressive. A game that did rain correctly was Arkham Knight. The rain in Cyberpunk is more like a flat, semi transparent white sheet. There is no refraction present, so I am not sure if it's a large texture sheet or clustered (or individual) raindrops. This is likely a tradeoff made to not worsen framerates. I only mention the rain because it's sort of a staple for Cyberpunk as a genre. Everything else I have seen however, looks phenomenal - including RTX features - with the downside being that RTX absolutely tanks performance. This might not be as big of an issue had we not seen what was essentially paper launches from both AMD and Nvidia - but judging from people with those cards, they are faring only slightly better.

Optimization is atrocious. I say that knowing full well that "optimization" doesn't happen with the press of a button. It takes time. Unfortunately, CDPR didn't take enough time. GPU utilization ebbs and flows on the low end for me (2080 Super) anywhere from 25-40%, while CPU usage (3900x) is hovering nearly maxed out. RTX randomly slows the game to a crawl on a 20 series card, regardless of if I am running in 2560x1080 or 3440x1440. DLSS manages to keep the game from dropping down into single digits, but I experience regular and persistent drops into the low 20s. There are countless other issues as I mentioned earlier - NPCs floating, weird physics, disappearing or magically appearing cars, light rays flickering, light sources like muzzle flashes visible through walls, etc. These are the types of issues that, like it or not, have become baked into large AAA launches. I won't be too harsh about it, because ultimately, I fully expect that these performance issues and bugs will be addressed - and done so pretty early on. Nothing can compare to Arkham Knight's disastrous launch on PC, where WB actually pulled the game off shelves and Steam for the better part of 2-3 months, at least I hope.

Some of these performance issues however seem to be tied in part to crowd density - which brings me to another point of contention: Just what the hell are these NPCs doing? Very few appear to have actual routines. Many are spawned in from nowhere as you enter the surrounding area and despawned when you leave. Turning around and going back and you will see completely different NPCs occupying the same spaces, clipping through each other. There are relatively few vendors that you can actually buy ♥♥♥♥ from or interact with. Contrast this with Kingdom Come: Deliverance - another game that runs rather roughly even today. KC:D's NPCs all have functions. They all have routines and jobs. Very few here do, and while the variety is far greater than what we got in Witcher 3 (with parts of faces, hair, eyes, mouths and clothes swapped around in a half dozen different configurations), it isn't difficult at all to see identical NPCs standing right next to each other.

Furthermore, this problem affects gameplay. Cops spawn in from nowhere. Shoot someone in a closed alleyway, and watch as NCPD magically appears and starts blasting. Contrast that with KC:D, where guards would actually come from guard towers, where crimes actually had to be witnessed. The AI is also notably unintelligent. A cop can get blasted, laying on the ground, while another cop stands there bored. Shooting in public will make half the NPCs cower down, while the other half walk about like nothing has happened. Can we really call this next gen with a serious face? I understand that implementing any sort of real solution to a game of this scale would be problematic, and I am confident that I don't have a solution - but Cyberpunk's multitude of issues with NPCs and AI should frankly be an complete embarrassment for CDPR. Even worse than that is that it isn't something that will likely be fixed quickly (or possibly even at all without official modding tools, as that would require some major AI and scripting changes.)

As such, at this point, I am honestly more inclined to say wait a month and see how things progress.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
