A total disaster and a disappointment as an AAA project; a spit in the face of the gaming community.
It has next to none features that's been promised, which makes its PR company just a huge load of lies. The developers should be sued for this mess that actually plays worse than games from 2000s; at this point, GTA San Andreas has MUCH more immersive and alive world than this game.

Runs well post patch, overall good story and gameplay, definitely buy if you see it on sale.

I don't have a problem with the bugs but the gameplay and the world itself.

-Gunplay is very okay, not good or bad. just okay
    -The World doesn't feel alive.
-Lack of customization, you can't even change your hair after creating your character.
-Stupid and lifeless NPC, which contributes to the lifeless night city.
    -absolutely terrible physics.
    -terrible driving control.

The optimization of the game is very bad, I was disappointed.Due to the constant dropping fps and bugs, I got colder from the game.

As far as my review is concerned my experience was very good playing at about 30-40 frames on a 1060 3gb on low settings and saw minimal dipping during combat and intense scenes. I experienced minimal bugs in my play through and would consider the story telling progressive but the main story too linear. Where the game really takes of is in the side quest much like any other open world game. I was truly surprised by the expansive world I was presented with. To be honest I hadn’t seen much on the game until I picked it up days before launch due to it being a top seller. Some of the other reviews I’ve seen site it as unplayable on pc but my experience on a recommended spec rig was decent enough to pass although I can see frustration in some who demand to play games at 60 FPS or higher it’s just unlikely to happen with anything under a 2060 or 1080ti. I’ve sun k at this point 70 hours into the game and really haven’t touch the main quest past the opening heist part. I’ve been so engrossed in the side quest I’ve really not considered picking the main quest back up. To say the game is flawless would be a lie, from time to time I notice frame drops and textures specifically textures of passerby’s or pedestrians just not loading and looking like a block walking down the street. The worst I’ve seen is the cutscenes where some times the audio does not sync up with the ambience. The game few bugs don’t bother me as much as I’ve seen it bother some but I stuck around for the fixes in 76 and considered the idea that the game can get better and if it does I will update my review. For those complaining currently that the game should have continued in the oven maybe consider that when your complaining about delays, that’s why I never did complain when it was delayed. Cd project red will continue to push out patches and hot fixes and the chances are closer to zero that will abandon this game. In its current state it’s pretty good but has more potential than what it shows. Expand

Cyberbug 2077, the worst release of the year by far. Instant refund. Don't waste your time trying to play this "game".

Cyberpunk has some flaws with physics, optimization or bugs. But I think the characters, music and world design make it easy to believe the story the creator is telling because you feel it's real.

I was really looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077, though i can barely play Cyberpunk 2077 on the Ps4. It crashed 4 times and has a lot of graphics bugs. I was able to play 1:30 hours. I am very disappointed

20 hours into the game and I'm really enjoying it, I think it's a lot better than some other story games this year (Last of us 2). Reviewed on PC with and RTX 2080ti. Heads floating off NPC's bodys, cars fading in out and out of existence etc.The story is really one of the only things I preordered this game for plus for the side quests that CDPR are known for. Not as amazing as the witcher 3 though, really a very meaty, fun RPG that will keep me coming back for more for months on end

It's funny how polarizing reviews for this are. It's like politics. Too many of the reviews are only about if someone can handle bugs or not. The premise of the game is a strong 8-9, good story if a little shallow, but mostly suffers for the perceived depth really just being a ton of repetitive side missions just like GTA5 or RDR. Hold on... both of them launched with massive bugs too but get better reviews cause Rockstar gets worshipped? I'd have liked the overall story arc to have more twists and branches but the foundation is there for a truly great game. If you have no patience for bugs wait a few months for them to get ironed out. If you're used to beta releases (which most modern games are anyways) at least on PC the bugs aren't really game breaking. I played through to the end with about 70% side mission completion and never crashed once but seen plenty of collision issues and graphical glitches.

Rockstar needs to take note on what CDPR did _right_ which is character customization (would be more meaningful in 3rd person), stats/upgradability on gear and weapons and multiple paths for the story to take.

Without the bugs it's a solid 8-9, I knocked 1 off for the beta condition but I'm not a child that gives it a 0, demands a refund, then freaks when steam expects the game back too. (This is actually happening and a sad testament to today's modern entitled gamer.)

At 1 hour of the game I realized that this is the best game ever for me. I was 12 years when the first teaser came in november 2012 and watched it on school PC, since then it was just waiting cause Cyberpunk is my favourite aesthetic, genre call it whatever you want.

The game combines the OG Deus Ex with New-Deus Ex gameplay and adds a borderlands-esque shooting and even better than it

Gotta admit I shed a manly tear once I got in the menu.

Buggy mess, crashed so many times and save got corrupt half way through. The story is pretty good up until the end, left it feeling ripped off.
Gunplay is nice, graphics look (mostly) great, hacking is a nice addition to the gameplay, driving is pretty bad.

When comparing what we got to what we were promised this game is a straight up lie. In any other industry there would be outrage and lawsuits like crazy. The bugs overshadows how lackluster the game is. Unless all you want to do in an open world "RPG" is to go from quest to quest in a linear fashion, this will be disappointing. The "RPG" elements are a joke, the AI are non existant. TheWhen comparing what we got to what we were promised this game is a straight up lie. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

Best game of generation. Best Narrative, not your LOUS2... What do you want the nextgen game to run normally on ancient hardware? Take a look around in the game with ultra settings and rtx lighting ... From a storyline, this is really the best thing that has come out in years. Just play, stop crying.

I played this game on my PS4 and no, it had no problems playing it.
The game did crash one single time, i had one bug that i had to fix which resulted in having to fail in another mission (that i didn't care about) and besides that there were a few little loading issues because the game of course was a bit to much for my console.
But overall, i absolutely loved this. The emotions

The emotions carried by the story and soundtrack are fantastic, the whole story in connection with the city seemed fantastic and original to me.
It's such a pity that this game was unfinished and bugged, it's the only reason i don't give it a 10/10.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
