CyberPunks story will tug on your heart, make you upset, & laugh all the same. The characters are written brilliantly with Character growth being nothing but strong as the story goes on. Especially laying in the choices you make as V, along the way. I’ll wrap this up, but a last thing worth mentioning is the Absolutely Beautiful technique of story telling through the use of music throughout this story, To call the soundtrack Great is an understatement. The music evolves through the emotional aspects of this story & is damn near beautiful taking you on the journey this Gorgeous game breathes. If you’re wondering whether to Give this game a go or not I would say it’s worth it. I personally Loved it and am still finding the many side quests enjoyable and as Immersive as the main story. I give it a 9/10 & say it’s worth the price tag if you want a Brilliant story & a Hell of a ride. Expand

This is one of the best games I ever played. Apart form the minor glitches (not annoying , just funny) it is absolutely engaging every player. I love this open world quests which might pop up in the middle of doing another mission. Another great thing is related to fact, that all my friends have different experience (another way) to resolve the missions and all of them right.

It's not GTA. This game is primarily a great great story. I would give 10 but the truth is that sadly there are many bugs. However they are not so bothersome as everyone is speaking. I had and still have a great fun with Cyberpunk and i recommend it for all players who's looking for a solid story and a grat gameplay rpg. Expand

Estamos ante Cyberbug. Un juego completamente roto, que hace aguas por todas partes y que claramente ha sido un engaño para todos. Una beta mediocre. Se merece un -10, lastima que lo mínimo sea un 0.

After several years of lies in every trailer and interview saying "choices matter and shape the world around you" we got a visual novel where dialogues have 1 (!) answer option. Sometimes they have 2 or even 3, but they either all lead to the exact same outcome, changing nothing but a single sentence, or are there just for lore purposes (as in "tell me more information, that will not effect anything at all anyway").
The world itself is boring an not interesting to explore. Everything around is basically a cardboard background with barely any available interactions. Almost all side activities on the map are "get to the area, neutralize the bad guys, loot an item, leave" rinse and repeat a hundred times. "Crime and punishment" system looks like it was supposed to be similar to GTA, but at the same time devs didnt want to copypaste a GTA system, so it just doesnt work. For example: I've shot a guy (marked as a bounty, but the game wouldnt care about it) with a muzzled gun in an empty room with no witnesses, game still gave me a star, cops spawned out of thin air right next to the place i was in, were not able to get inside and see me and disappeared into thin air once again in a few seconds when the star wore off.

To summarize: the game would have been good, if it released in 2014, but in december 2020 it looks like a joke. Every promise made by developers turned out to be a lie. Apparently all their budget was spent on Keanu Reeves and performers who made the music for the game, I just fail to see any other excuse for a game being such a terrible mess after 8 years of development. Even if they make a thousand patches and fix the technical part, nothing will help the dialogues and worldbuilding. So far cyberpunk 2077 loses any comparison I can think of - Deus Ex was a better cyberpunk genre RPG; GTA and RDR have a much better world; even the story in cyberpunk is pretty average compared to other story-driven games (meaning the main storyline of course, since side quests in cp2077 are basically fetch requests with barely any actual story).
The only way for CDPR now is to announce Witcher 4 and milk what is left of that cow, they just cant make a brand new game good if it doesnt have a massive background written in 7 books.

The crowd density of the city is unmatched in any game by far. It's really helps bring everything to life with more immersion. Many repeats of NPCs however. The gunplay feels fantastic early. Super weighty, and the sound design is incredible. People say it's spongey, it's an RPG, not an FPS. It isn't spongey like The Division, enemies do react to being shot, umm, sometimes. Don't expect to kill with one headshot early on but there are perks that can help with that when coming from stealth. When you get a critical headshot it's very rewarding, especially when you know you modified or crafted a weapon, or leveled up or utilized a perk to make it happen. You can't go into this thinking it's an fps. You have to be strategic, and the customization of perks and weapons is deep! On difficult, the game is very challenging early, the ai is intense, all though not always consistent. For example when overheating enemies with quick hacks when unseen, the ai just takes it without much reaction. The action gets fast and intense with great pace and a phenomenal score. Unfortunately this doesn’t last. If only. The combat gets very boring once you start leveling up. The AI is exposed and quite honestly it pains me to say, horrible. Even on the highest difficulty the game is extremely easy. You can kill almost anyone with a single headshot after a while, which is fine by me, except most NPCs just wait for you to do so. There is hardly any challenge at all unfortunately, and this really drags the game down. NPCs can be found zonking out in the corner without a care in the world awaiting for the grim reaper that is you. The story of the game is the strength, but it can’t compare to the brilliance of the Witcher, so be sure to reset your expectations. The life paths unfortunately don't seem to effect the game very much, and feel a bit disjointed. I'm playing as a Nomad, and I act like I have known people in Night City for a long time right away. There's some heavy exposition done with a montage which is disappointing, and I question the replay-ability from a life path perspective. Sure you can play again in an entirely different way, but the narrative seems to drive itself far more than I anticipated. It does seem like your choices matter to a degree, but I don't feel like my life path choice matters at all. I have avoided some conflict thought dialogue, but expected there would be more choice and passive options overall. With that said, the writing of each individual mission is intriguing and well crafted. Quest design is excellent! There are several outcomes possible in some scenarios. You can get to 100 hours easily, but the longer I played the less satisfied I became. There's a ton of thoughtful gigs, meaningful side quests, and places to explore. When you invest in crafting and selling all your collectibles your time is going to shoot up way up, and it's rewarding for only the beginning stages of the game. After that it’s an unbearable grind. If you are going to do a slow burn, you'll have to make some mental excuses as the main story has much urgency. Urgency is good for story, but conflicting for open world rpgs. Structure is important, and it isn’t well designed in Cyberpunk 2077. For those looking only for a quick story this will be perfect, but you will be rewarded more for exploration, and a city this dense demands it. So the structure has a confound, but it's a matter of perception.

There's an overwhelming amount of missions to do in Night City. I wish there was more opportunity to take advantage of some of the set, such as sit down and eat a meal or have a drink like in RDR2, or upgrade your apartment, purchase a new one, customize your look after creation, customize your car, play the arcades you keep seeing, etc. We know CDPR creates fantastic DLC, so it isn't out of the question. With that said I can't speak highly enough about the crowd density in this massive city. This game is going to get a ton of hate because of all the hype and delays, and the very unfortunate console experience. Some of that is deserved if the game isn't playable, but here on PC I haven't had many issues. The issues are with the game itself. Overall the world, and attention to story feels solid, despite a questionable structure. The gameplay has been exciting with some solid depth, but ultimately brings the game down with bad AI and way too much loot that makes crafting worthless because you are constantly finding better equipment than you can craft. You’ll need to empty your inventory every hour which is a pain in the butt. I made a heavy investment spanning 100 hours because I love the city and many moments of the story CDPR created. Unfortunately the longer I played the more flaws I saw.

The biggest disappointment though is the story.. at the very beginning everything seemed fine with the slow pace and getting into the mood of the game but then suddenly the story starts to get rushed and everything seems to fall apart... I hardly get to know some of the characters that seems relevant to the story when theres a part where the game skips 6 months ahead while showing a short montage what happens between my character and the others. That just **** lazy and dumb! Some of the side quests I've tried are just plain boring and really short to complete. I truly hope this game starts to get better soon.. I will change my user score if things get better.

There have been many city-based open world games by now, but none was able to create a city like this one, with its claustrophobic vertical development and omnipresent advertising.
The gameplay is based on sandbox variety. You can choose a huge number of specializations for your characters, both in terms of abilities and toolset. You could be a street samurai using weapons to solve every situations, for example, but even so, which class of weapon will you specialize in? Pistols, rifles, shotguns, blades? And, in the case of firearms, will you pick power, tech or smart, each with its own defining characteristic? Will you give up your cyberdeck in favor of a bullet time augmentation? Or, will you use some stealth and cyber warfare to whittle down your enemies, before you jump in for the kill? What physical augmentations will you choose?
As much as I like the gameplay, though, I really like cyberpunk as a genre, and I consider "Neuromancer" to be the best cyberpunk novel ever written - or at least the best one I've ever read. Its influence on the world, on the vibe and on the characters is undeniable. Keanu Reeves' Johnny shares his most evident characteristic with an important character of the book. The Afterlife night club would feel right at home in Chiba City. Most of all, the long sequence that introduces you to the main body of the game has you plan and prepare for the heist of the century and, while you get little choice in how the situation develops there, it made me felt like I was living that favorite novel of mine.
If you are the kind of gamer that skips dialogues to jump to the action quickly, you'll probably find these sections boring. For me, they are what differentiate this game from the competition, together with the extreme care put in every detail.
This might be my GOTY 2020, I laugh in the face of TLOU and its woke tirades.

That said, a lot of complaints are well founded. The way police alerts are implemented is embarrassing. Driving AI is almost nonexistent. The racing and boxing side quests are shallow and really badly implemented. You'll probably be better off if you can wait until some significant patch to improve things.

This game will immerse you in its world and you will not escape Night City before you finish this game... if the map full of other mysteries and things to do doesn't keep you going. Also, the city is gorgeous, every frame is a work of art from close-ups on characters to the city landscape.

But... this game is also a 5/10 because everything else ranges from good to really bad and broken.
The gunplay and speed hack mechanics are pretty good though. But the progression system is kind of shallow, the hacking (you'll see) is bad, NPCs AI is dumb, the police is non-existent, driving is really inconsistent, the crafting system is broken into oblivion, there are so many bugs that it's not even funny and I'm sure there is more I forgot...

So why 9/10? Because even with all these problems I have had an awesome, unique, and almost magical experience.
These problems aren't (in most situations) enough to damage the experience even a little. So if you're anything like me and you like these kinds of narrative experience (think the witcher 3 for example) This game is a must-play but care Night city will take all your time. If not, the game is not for you, go play something else :)

But to finish I will advise waiting for some patch to fix the bugs (if CDPR survives its current crisis that is) and hopefully the rest of the game because all Cyberpunk problems can hopefully be patched with updates.

This game has a lot of potentials, and with mods, patches, and extensions I'm convinced it will sit close to Skyrim on the pantheon of Open-world RPGs. But today it's just the unfinished version, a shadow of a brilliant maybe generation-defining game.

Thank you forAt first, I put 10 out of 10 without going through it to the end, despite Bugs, friezes, crashes (by the way, I did not have one) and other technical flaws. She made a huge impression on me! But. Having passed it to the end, I was very disappointed in the "Best Ending", because I was not impressed by it. In this I expected much more and more open. Sorry, CD Project Red, but I have to admit that some bugs prevented the completion of the tasks, and I never passed them. But ... let the Poles just be fine Expand

Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty good. It's not revolutianary, but I enjojed it. 8/10.
But reading 0-3 rated reviews complaining about console ports(there is separate metacritic page for that), and people that wanted GTA6(it's not a GTA), I decide to compensate the unfair rankings by giving this game 10.

This game has an incredibly beatifull city(first game that made me enjoy riding in passenger seat), really touching characters, and complex quests(like in witcher 3).

It has some non-linear options, but most of them unfortunately just allows to skip content.
On my PC(RTX 2080) it runs 80+ fps QHD with medium rtx, thanks to DLSS.
It has a lot of bugs, but they are not gamebreaking, and for large openworld games it's pretty standart(remember Witcher 3 and Skyrim on start).
I enjoy the combat system, impact is good, just disable the damage numbers.

If you loved Witcher for non-trivial side quests, this is the game for you.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
