    After more than 20 hours of playtime and several completed quests I can say this game is totally junk. Game breaking bugs all around, I'm so sorry I didn't take my money back when I had the change.
    Could have been a good game because of the story and some interesting side quests but the poor quality of the game amazes me at every corner.

    Don’t care about the bugs because they can be fixed but the Npc’s are the brain dead , you can’t buy food from vendors , you can’t customize yourself after the start of the game

    CDPR lied to all of us. Overly hyped this basic game and falsely advertised on all their marketing efforts. Videos upon videos of stuff that is not even in the game, or nothing like they talked it up to be in those stupid ass nightwire videos.

Cyberpunk 2077 presents a good story and a complex plot, with juicy references to the cyberpunk universe, but bugs and glitches continuously and irreparably damage that intention. Good intention, bad execution, a lot of marketing and pre-sales for a product that was not (and will not be for some time) ready toA masterpiece is defined, in my view, by the amalgamation of form and content.     Ran OK on mid range PC, but gameplay was mediocre, storytelling very much in the GTA vein (edgy and sweary), nothing bad but nothing here to recommend, over-hyped and underwhelming.

    8 years and we get half of worked game? Is it fair, or may be you think that all this bugs, usles tons of skills which dont do anithing profit in this game, weapons like shotgun which do less dmg then pistol on shot range, and many many other problems?
    You give us half-cut game, so I cant hang on with my anger.
    2020 ends near, and we get game which will be okey only in 2012.

    overhyped... If you take a look to the great movies, series, books and games based on the cyberpunk genre all of them are better than this lame intent to copycat not even GTA but Saints Row, and Ray Tracing suck I don't even know how that is a thing

    Awful bug-ridden game, and you know they're going to spend the next six months fixing half the bugs and every article written about it will be about how stunning and brave they are for admitting to their faults and 'overcoming' them, pushing for a second surge of sales. Should've known this would happen after they changed the dev team to be more 'inclusive' instead of hiring talented people.

The character creation is sub par compared to other rpg's, things seem lifeless and boring. It's really a big disappointment. I play on an xbox one and the graphics look like games from 7 years ago.     Forget about the bugs and poor performance, the actual GAME is not fun to play. It is undeniably gorgeous to look at, if you have a PC good enough to actually run the game at high settings (which I do), however graphics do not make a game fun.

    Graphics:
    Yes, the graphics are amazing if your PC is capable of running the game. But that's it, good graphics don't make a good game.

    Story:
    Haven't played it through yet, but the beginning of the story is a mess. The different background you could choose are relatively irrelevant for the rest of the game and the montage was clearly meant to be playable and would've actually explained a lot about recurring characters. After playing the prologue I felt like I was thrown into a story I have no clue about, meeting people I don't know that are supposed to be my friends just to make them irrelevant in the next moment. I'm interested what's yet to come but after 6 hours of gameplay I still don't get my own motivations except for survival.

    Mechanics:
    This game is by no means a role-playing game. Yes, you have stats and perks that you can level, but you absolutely don't have to. You're just fine shooting your way through the levels. Other RPG-elements are straight up missing. Different classes you could choose or factions to join - nope. At least something like heavy and light armor - nothing.
    The stealth mechanics are obligatory and simply what we've seen in games before. And even that is not thought out well. The sneaky takedown can only be done when you're precisely behind an enemy and the maneuver is the same animation over and over again.
    The hacking mechanics are straight up copied from Watch Dogs and besides that a repetitive button-click or unchallenging puzzle. GTA Online has better hacking minigames to be honest.
    That leaves me with three approaches to the game: shooting, stealth and hacking, all of which are just an implementation of well-tried but obligatory game mechanics without doing anything or in some cases doing the simplest things not even right. This also doesn't make the game more of a RPG, because you could just skill all three approaches more or less evenly and combine them all in combat without a particular up- or downside to it.

    Technically:
    Not much to say either, other than that the game is poorly optimized, the last-gen console versions barely run at all with next-gen console versions not even existing. On PC the community is trying to optimize the game's performance on it's one, but that was supposed to be the developers job in the first place.

    Open world:
    The open world looks great and appears vivid on first glance but upon exploring I couldn't find that many things of interest. The most buildings are not accessible, there are next to no stores or the stores you find are just decoration. NPC just wander around aimlessly and the randomly occurring fights are always the same, therefore repetitive and quickly boring. I really don't know what to do in Night City except for the main story missions or also repetitive side quests. How are there no "dungeons" or some paces you could enter, fight through, loot and whatnot? The open worlds unfortunately reminds me of Watch Dogs and not a bit of The Elder Scrolls or Fallout.

    Press:
    I know it's common, but the game was over hyped from the press even before launch, but also after the disastrous launch the press keeps praising the game like it's some kind of a masterpiece. This game is not only buggy to it's core but even beyond fixing all bugs and optimizing the game it's mechanics are still mediocre and average at best.

    Development:
    I guess all core developers of The Witcher 3 left after the Blood & Wine DLC so they hired new people, mismanaged and had to do the good ol' crunch. Well, what possibly started as the fault of management has now to be paid by the players, that bought the unfinished game for full price. I doubt that the game can be fixed, patched and updated to live up to it's first expectations, but we'll see.

    Conclusion:
    The game started with huge promises and a big hype and actually launched to become a meme. Everything I was hoping for isn't in the final game! It's not a fleshed out RPG like Bethesda games, where you can skill your character to a very specific build combined with specific weapons, armor and gadgets, there's no exploring, looting and fighting through endless but always different dungeons. And it's not a huge open worlds as a Rockstar game, as I'd hoped for to walk, run or fly through. With this elements missing or being below average all that's left is a more or less linear story and an first-person action-shooter like we've seen a thousand time but this time in a different setting.    … Expand

Even in sex scene you never see your genitals, why care to costumize them at all if you can really never see them. The 3 fractions don't feel different. Same language, even Corp is swearing like gangsta. There is no development of relationships between hero and Keanu, they share same head yet even in the end they don't try to understand each other. For talking you have chance to get a choice of your fraction every 6 dialogs or so, other times no different who you are. They promised damages to modules which would affect fighting. Like if they shoot me in hand where I have strength chip it would malfunction and I will have to fight without it, but in reality none of it exist. In English it is great, in Russian voices don't fit the outlook of characters, look I love Poperechny but his voice does not fit the character he was assigned. The instalation of modification looked cool only once, later you just use inventory, why even show it to us that you can do better and do it only once. So many problems. Overall it is not ready to consume game. It has some promises, I don't know if they can fix AI, but the game is raw and in many ways feels lazy. Side quests are very direct and one way walk through most of the time if you take it. , Main quest is no giving you many choices. even when you choose not to do something or argue in dialog most of the time it will give you again only oposit choice to do it as you are told no matter what you choose as first answer. Compare to Wicther 3 this is so bad, you are not a character you are scripted all the way. Detrot become human feels better if you want something variative and when you choice matters.… Expand

    The game CDPR advertised and lied about is not just - not ready! It doesn't exist. It feels like the game they "released" under "CYBERPUNK 2077" title is a game that was developed recently, some 2-3 years and now we've all been invited to join end-user - "pay-to-test" early alpha build.

    A game with big and empty world. A game where world is not living, world - is spawning. Night city - doesn't feel like a city, it feels like a space with random objects and their correlations. A city where you don't want to explore, because its a mess, its absolutely lifeless. A city with no story. A city that you test - not play.

    You lost my respect CDPR and I was with you since the first Witcher came out and I know that your "releases" usually are buggy, but with "cyberpunk 2077"... its not just about the bugs, its about you sending us the wrong message.    … Expand

    The summary is a game which is no real RPG, more like a crippled mix between a Looter Shooter and Grand Theft Auto, but it does both things awful. So basically you have a good story in a, most of the time, nice looking city. The gameplay is at best mediocre, but most of the time simply bad. This game is unfinished, and you can see that on every corner of the world, the bugs are the smallest problem for this game, there is so much more wrong with this game.

Bought it on presale betraying my own "politics of not buying before the game is released", and I screwed it up. Don't buy it already. I couldn't even finish the game although I tried to do it fast.     If you have a great PC, some of the game looks very pretty. There's some snappy dialogue in there, too. Pretty cool side quests.
    Even if you have a great PC, however, the game is a sea of broken promises. Enemy, police, and NPC A.I. were better in GTA III. Driving was better in Watch Dogs. There are none of the branching story paths that they promised.

    The game completely fails to meet the promises and expectations. If you can't keep your promises, don't give them. In fact, we got a very raw game, people pay for the finished product, and not for the fact that the patches will be edited.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's not even a game... I don't know what to call it. I got through the game 100%, I chose all 3 story paths. Even, Mafia 3 was much better than this. To start with, the game's lore is blatantly ripped from works like Akira (the idea of atomic bombing, motorcycles and such a city) and the Ghost in the Armor, the color interface, scanner, implants, city and **** everything is ripped from there. The game, even if it was bug-free, is still weak. Especially in the contrast that after cyberpunk I played rdr 2. The plot in Cyberpunk 2077 is childish and nonsensical. The dialogue sparks a huge amount of inappropriate profanity. What do I mean by "inappropriate swear words"? I mean the fact that they are put in the sentence as if the scriptwriter had the task to put foul words in the already written dialogues so that the schoolchildren would eat them up and immediately think that this is "adult dialogue" when they saw the dialogues with foul words. Even more and the constant demonstration of naked bodies. I certainly do not mind, but think about who the developers of this in the game attract. The game positions itself as an rpg, but rpg is not. It's just a **** up. Most people have somehow conveniently forgotten about it (who praises cyberpunk), but I remember everyone screaming about it back in 2017 when I first heard about the upcoming game. How excited I was to see such a game come out, because I'm a fan of the genre. My favorite movie - Blade Runner 2049, but here's the trouble, the game **** in everyone's eyes and like in the tale of the naked king many do not want to admit that cyberpunk is **** **** and we were given instead of a cool rpg weak in terms of story, lame in terms of gameplay, soapy in terms of graphics, inexperienced in terms of music and raw in terms of sound "game". The story is short, not all the characters are revealed and I was bored to play it. I didn't sympathize with Johnny, I didn't sympathize with V because her past is told to the max from the way we chose to create the character. The secondary missions are the worst side quests I've ever seen in my life. In Assassin they are much more interesting. II liked the easter egg realted to Portal 2. In the game I did not know where to spend the money except on implants, which were often too expensive, but the worst thing is that even the implants were not always necessary to buy, because they can be trivially stolen and they will be better in rarity. It turns out that the money wasn't really needed either. Then I don't know where to spend it at all. Buying cars is nonsense. Better to steal or ride on your kart. The game is trivial no garage, or tuning. The game, even the **** subway is not implemented. Can you imagine? The subway, which was on the art and trailers, and there's no air transport, which is demonstrated at the beginning of the game for the corporat. Sea transport, too, no. This is banal absurd, the game has no gameplay variety, everything rolls into shootouts and driving. Maybe they've got something in the shootouts then? No. There's an attempt to create different classes in the game, but for lack of experience, time and brains the developers instead of a normal, quality perks tree made some **** that's only suitable for lineage 2, or WOW, but definitely not for first person action rpg. Most of the perks you learn are trash, which raises a couple percent of your stats. There are certainly useful perks, but they are in the minority. It's like I was not playing a singleplayer game, but an online mmo with constant farming (although that's how it is). For some reason, the developers have scattered around the world a lot of the same type of junk like "needle", etc. The question is: Why? This stuff is not worth anything, it is the same and adding the same type of things throughout the game so even that costs a penny - nonsense. In 3A game most of the interesting things are served in a text format, but here's a question: Why the **** in the 3A game, which was made from 2011 to 2020 most of the interesting things served in **** txt documents? The shooting and physics in the game are terrible. In the beginning we are given to smash a wall with a big machine gun. And guess what, that's the only wall we can smash with a machine gun in the game, w-o-w. This shows the whole attitude from the developers to the player. The prologue gives the illusion of elaboration, but just when you start to believe it, the developer immediately lets you know that you've sucked. The funny thing is that even no sound of ripping off just this machine gun in game, and also in the landfill there is no sound of walking on the garbage. Do you think there is no activity? No, there are, and the funny thing is that the trash scattered, and under it forgot to lay the texture and I'm trivial in it a couple of times got stuck and I had to download the last save.     Super shallow, bug ridden, performance hog of a game. The open world is beautiful, but you can only look; do not touch. Combat is terrible. And AI enemies are omniscient. Your ally AI? Yeah they might as well not even be there, in fact it would be better if they weren’t. Just not enjoyable in the least. A 4 is generous.

    It is not only that the game is a technical mess. The game is a boring loot shooter, about... nothing, i guess? The plot is not worth a dime, the RPG elements are few and far between, and gameplay loop is rather boring.

    Deus Ex series, early Shin Megami Tensei series, even Shadowrun are more interesting cyberpunk materials.

    The story telling is genuinely good at times but it's marred by overwhelmingly bad decisions and a lot of frayed broken edges that show their was supposed to be more or different paths for the storyline. Additionally deeper into one of the quest lines their is a cinematic that forces your character to have sex with female prostitutes and culminates in your character fingering a chick while driving ending in a crash. As a gay man, being promised a game where we had personal agency and could make V ourself in the cyberpunk world, this is incredibly alarming and disapointing. Further all of the choices in game lead tot he same conclusions, their are no real choices in the game, hell it feels like theirs no superficial choices in the game ejther. You can't change your characters Appearence post creation ejther, and with the odd and bad lighting in the character creator this is a huge flaw.

    The bugs are horrendous and many but that should hopefully be fixed, however things like AI and patching are probably as is. Theirs also a ton of cut content in game that can still be scene and accessed that serve no function and glitch out the character in ways only a reload can fix. many areas feel completely devoid of any immersion or life with how sparse and broken the are, this is especially noticeable in the badlands and Pacifica where theirs few people to begin with and most of the time despawn so the world is quite litterally empty.

    Theirs a few very well written missions and bugs aside really make you enjoy the game, but they're few and far between the oceans of bad choices and poor designs    … Expand

    I pre-ordered the game in anticipation for what turned out to be the biggest let-down in video game history. Even Watch_Dogs was better.
    The game is and was unfinished, the story is boring and the choices don't matter as much as the trailer would make you believe.
    If i could, I'd want my money back - but some mistakes can't be reverted.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
