BrianR.Jan 25, 2008This game looks amazing even on medium settings. my only complaint is the extremely terribly looking tire popping animation with low to medium physics but that is my computers fault not the game. demanding an outrageous system is not something to fault a game for it's something to fault your budget for.

YanoZ.Jan 19, 2008Besides the graphics, everything else is VERY annoying! The plot is scattered and horrible voice overs... The Koreans are nearly immune to bullets. It takes around 10 bullets to kill a single NPC... VERY ANNOYING, I do not recommend this failure of a FPS game to anyone!

BillyD.Jan 18, 2008A really average shooter with good graphics, if you can afford to drop 3 grand on a new pc. Far Cry was a better game by leaps and bounds. My pc is about a year old and I can only run it on medium and believe me it looks awful. These new "photorealilisitc" games like Crysis and Bioshock are proof that graphics really are not a substitute for good gameplay.

FareedD.Jan 15, 2008Those who are unaffected by the massive hype surrounding the release of this supposed photo-realistic game will probably see Crysis as a rehash of old, tried and tested but now boring gameplay mixed with a graphics engine that looks nice but seems to have completely missed the point that the graphics are there to assist the gameplay, not the other way around.

RoryT.Jan 15, 2008Very poor game, all crytek are doing is prooving they can make a good looking game but sacrficing everything else that makes a game ...FAIL.

CzarJan 13, 2008Nice graphics that quickly wear off. Boring gameplay. Feels like a supermod for far cry. I got COD 4 at same time and that just blows crysis out of the water. VIsta and 8800gts 640MB is not going to give you a wicked game experience. Very dissapointed.

GlennP.Jan 8, 2008This is the greatest shooter I've ever played and I've played them all. It's beautiful and the environment is incredibly interactive. AND the game runs fine on lower graphics settings and still looks awesome. I really don't know why everyone is complaining - it's awesome.

MatthewC.Jan 5, 2008On the plus side: open-ended gameplay, beautifully presented, the nanosuit! On the minus: graphics aim too high (I really don't understand this - it's just cuts out a huge portion of the potential market and by the time most people can play it, it will be 'old'), aliens lack 'oomph', anticlimactic.

PC GamerDestined to be a classic, Crysis is a creative and technological marvel that eclipses every other shooter released this year. [Holiday 2007, p.60]
-
Crysis thrives on putting the onus on you to create your own brand of action and adventure in its stunningly beautiful locations. You and the game can haphazardly create moments of such gaming brilliance that often you pretty much have to stand up and applaud. [Christmas 2007, p.44]
-
This is some fast, well designed gameplay with enough options to allow players to use their own style of attack with satisfying suit abilities and weapons. Crytek has upped their attention to detail in presentation and dropped the worst parts of "Far Cry’s" story.
