In all, i had about 15 crashes, most of them during the Alien Exosuite and the alien ship Part of the end game.

But overall the game was running fine and looked great for a 2007 Title.
The graphics are really good, even in 2020. And when it came out, the graphics was one of its selling points of this game after all. I would recommend a buy in 2020.

    "8/10 – Great.
    A very good product.
These games leave me with something outstanding to remember them by, ideas for single-player or multiplayer, clever characters and writing, noteworthy graphics and sound, or some combination thereof. If we have complaints, there are more than enough excellent qualities to cancel them out."

Fora isso, o jogo é demais, tô amando o game e indo pro segundo agora!

The graphics and general production values are top notch. But the gameplay is also very good and satisfying. It is no Deus Ex, but offers some freedom in how you tackle each situation, has good gunplay, and satisfying enemies.

The story is the usual FPS story fare, but it works.

Many people call this a tech demo. Those people are morons. Just because a game has impressive graphics, doesn't mean it was only a tech demo. This is a good game.

Minus thing, is the AI, which is kind of braindead.

Still, when 5 and a half year after its release, Bioshock infinite managed a 94 metacritic score while having worse graphics and gameplay, makes me shake my head...

You can get it cheap now, and any modern gaming pc can max it out. So give it a shot, if you haven't already. 9/10, giving it a 10 to counter the fools with no taste in games.

The nanosuit enables the plays to have many alternative ways to complete the mission, if you don't want to have a fight, just switch to cloak mode to sneak, or if you are tired of repetitive shooting, just switch to power mode to beat enemies with your bare hands. If I have to name the cons, it is not optimized well that no PC can run it on maximum settings when the game is released, and my laptop which was bought in 2011 can't do it either. [Story] Play as a super soldier marine on a search and rescue mission somewhere in the Pacific. Fight against the Koreans and then fight against the Aliens. I love pretending to be a marine - respect. [Challenges] The game play is a series of missions - stealth mixed in with run and gun. Mastering the special abilities provided by your nanosuit is required and will deepen your appreciation of each mission. I looked forward to completing each and every mission - so much fun. Gun choices are limited but there is always a right one for the job. Driving is abysmal and the weakest part of the game so just avoid it whenever possible. Tank sequences conveyed the chaos of war a little too well. Flying sequences with the VTOL were confusing at first because they are time limited adventures and the game crashes your mission when you get out of sync - just reload and enjoy. I especially liked the zero gravity exploration and combat sequences. Variety made this game great ! Playing this game on Normal was straight forward with 90% of the game played without a reload. I am gonna play this again in six months. [Children] This is an adult only title. [My PC] i7-2600K 3.4GHz / ASUS Z68 ProGen3 / 8Gig RAM / Radeon 6870 / 1920x1200 / W7 PRO SP1 [Graphics score 10] Wow may be a simple word but I was stunned at how lush this game world looked. This game needs a beast of a PC to play this on high settings - in fact my last PC could not cut it so I waited 2 years after purchase to play the game - until I built a new PC ! Even with my new rig I had problems but only in the last boss battles - I had to turn down the graphics to medium to survive without a crash - I am not kidding (and I was not the only one). [Controls score 9] I always play with a Logitech keyboard and a Kensington trackball. Remapping the keys in game was easy, but with minor annoyances like some keys that are common to all transportation - we really should be able to remap all keys for each transport mode. [Sound score 10] I always play with headphones. Voice acting great. 3D sound perfect. SFX awsome. I must say that in multi-person combat sequences sounds are so plentiful that it was hard to pay attention to command orders - incredible! I thought this was just going to be another graphics showcase like a lot of new games are, but I was surprised to find substantial story elements and fantastically fun gameplay. Granted, the story isn't Half-Life 2 but it actually develops throughout the game and easily exceeds the likes of the ever-popular Halo series. The graphics are without a doubt the best ever made, and provided you don't run it with antialiasing on (which doesn't make a big difference in this game anyways) the game runs pretty smooth. Don't expect to be able to run it in all very high DX10 without the latest and greatest cuz there's no denying that it was built for next-gen hardware. I run it on a Pentium 4 2.4 ghz, 768 mb ram, and 256 mb Radeon 9600xt which are all under minimum requirements and I get an average fps of around 20, so it seems like people are overbitching. The AI contrary to what many people say, I found quite good. If you snipe an enemy with a silencer, other enemies won't react until they see the corpse. They'll try to flank you, take cover, and what's really interesting is if you shoot with a silencer at an object behind an enemy, that enemy will react to the sound, caused by the impact of the bullet, and look back to see if someone is out there. It's not the greatest game ever, but it's damn close. The multiplayer is fun but it's not anything revolutionary, although i found the vehicle-based gameplay more fast-paced and fun in the long run than the battlefield series. Far Cry was good, this is a masterpiece! Expand

Even playing it several years later, the graphics are still gorgeous and the environment is fun to play in--whether it's lush jungles, icy mountain passes, or sprawling military bases. The nanosuit is what really makes this game fun, and it allows for a variety of tactics: you can sneak around making stealth kills with silenced weapons or run in guns blazing--even crush enemies by throwing crates on them. Despite all the great things about this game, it does fall short of being truly sandbox: while you have a fair amount of control over your route to the target (sneaking in the jungle, taking the road, climbing buildings) often you end up only having one way to finish the mission, which is usually just shooting your way past enemy defenses. Also, like its predecessor, Far Cry, the vehicles are awkward to drive and rarely worth the trouble. Overall, however, this game is a must-play for any fan of the FPS genre. Expand

It's a lot of fun to screw around in, blowing up scrap shacks, throwing guys off cliffs and shooting them dead before they hit the ground, and jumping out of vehicles before they impact and explode; never taking anything seriously. Crysis isn't bug-free. The physics can be wonky sometimes, like you might see a gun halfway in the ground, shaking like mad. Some objects in your path might randomly kill you. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It always amazes me how different opinions can be for the same game. I understand people have different tastes, but a lot of things are objective. One reviewer even says he cannot understand how someone would not like this game. Really?

This game is so overrated by critics. What a surprise, huh? The average user review is considerably lower at 8.0. This seems fair to me. Apparently game reviews are now different than reviews for a lot of other products. You would think that common sense would dictate that if a game has quite a few flaws or inadequacies, that it would follow that it cannot have a perfect, or near perfect, score. According to MANY, this is not the case. For the people who think this is the best shooter they have ever played, I would like to know what kind of shooters you have been playing.

I am just going to list some of things that should detract from the overall score of the game.

    01. A LOT of bugs and absurd system requirements.
    02. Everyone says great graphics, but the character models are ugly.
    03. The videos are awful. A lot of the time it is hard to not just skip over them.
    04. Frequent nagging by the people giving you intelligence or asking for help. It just keeps repeating over and over. Also, the speech is often lagging behind what you are actually doing in the game.
    05. I know this is at least a partially subjective point, but the alien fighting is boring. The best parts of the game are when there are no aliens involved.
    06. The dialogue is weak, and that's being kind.
    07. The ending is BORING.

The best aspects of this game are the features of the suit you wear, the weapons, and the non alien game play. A good game overall, but has far too many flaws to be considered great.

The nanosuit is inovative and fun, and both the island and winter effects are done to perfection. But what is absolutely breathtaking are the graphics. The game was ahead of its time, and remains probably the most demanding and impressive GFX experience 2 years after its release. Not often that can be said of a game. Having played FarCry2 and other recent games, and liked them, I still have to say Crysis has a higher 'wow' factor. I just built a new computer (i7 + 6gb ddr3 + radeon 4890) and I am replaying the game in 1900x1080xhigh detail. It is as if I had been blind and now I can see again. I will probably finish the game once again just to see all the various levels in this resolution. The attention to detail is painstaking. There are little frogs jumping around in the marshes. Flocks of gulls can be shot at, and if you get one, the bird falls limp from the sky. Trees can be destroyed, and you can level most buildings. Sorry guys, its just beautiful. 10/10 for me even 2 years later. Expand

I liked Crysis' story. It didn't eclipse my favorite RPG's story, but then, I'd be an idiot to expect it to and then complain when it doesn't. All I gotta say is, MAN, this game is freaking AWESOME. I'm pretty good at stealth manipulation and marksmanship, though, so I'm going to be looking for small ways to mod the game so that it's even harder than it was on Delta Mode. It's no where near the game that Far Cry is. The more I play it, the less I like it. The first jungle missions were great, but the Korean's telling me to "Die like a f*&king dog." got older faster than the mercs in Far Cry telling me, "You're dead, buddy!" The alien zero gravity thing seemed to be tacked on, (or wedged in). The graphics may be stellar (and I still had to knock the settings down lower than I should so I could get reasonable performance on my GTS 8800 640). Even if I could play this at max settings, I still don't get what the buzz is about. Graphics don't make the game. I can pass on the photo-realistic graphics, gameplay is all that matters and when you spend 5 minutes sneaking into a base only to be discovered at the last second you're in deep trouble. Getting your keyboard layout comfortable is key too, as this game not only stretches the graphical limit of your computer, you'll also find that you wish your fingers were another 2 inches longer because you can't quite reach the key you need. It is an impressive game and will allow some flexibility as to how you approach each objective making replays fun. It's flaws, at times the AI (isn't it always) become predictable and the re-gens more annoying than a screaming kid. It has some major physics issues in some areas, shooting a helicopter down is fine, it burns, it falls from the sky, but will proceed to bounce about on the ground for infinitum because it can't lie flat, this results in a constant, very loud sound effect in your ear until you move far enough away. There's also the slight issue of guns getting stuck in walls, echoing the same audio problem as above. Overall, get this game, it is worth it. Expand

Generally, any hardcore gamer will have no problem running something like this - and even at medium graphics settings, it looks no worse than any other modern FPS. On high and very high, it really shines. The reason I don't give it a 10 is because the story is a little weak. It's one of those stories where you're really into it while you're playing it ... but try explaining it to a friend. This rating is based on how good a game it is compared to other games on the market. It's innovative (the nanosuit is a great addition), fun to play, and not too hard or too easy. The addition of delta mode makes it even more interesting - it's not harder, it's just a little different. I didn't rate this game based on its hype. It was a bit over-hyped. Perhaps that's where some of its high ratings came from, perhaps not. Hey, look at halo 3 - it's a decent game, but not even close to deserving a 10/10. Crysis didn't have THAT much hype, but just because it's overhyped doesn't mean it's any less of a great game, or any less satisfying to play. And I've never seen such excellent physics. Expand

Only EMP we can make is from a nuclear or thermonuclear weapon.] Love how they try to be like L4D :sarcasm:, but don't make enemies look like zombies, just running in and dying constant and do some complete linear run'n'gun where you can't die. Anyone who thinks 4 2, or any cod series is better should be in a metal institution; look at cod2, came out in 2005, how far down is that from Far Cry or Half-Life 1 & 2, which came out in 2004. Crytek games are usually cheaper than other games in the same genre, even though they pwn all of them. Crytek, even though there games look similar, make completely different games (about the tropical enviroments, who doesn't like to fight on a lush jungle island?). Cretek also makes a new engine and takes time developing a game unlike IW who just makes a sequel to a sequel of a sequel, not changing anything, but the sound (and didn't 50 cent voice a marine?). And by the way for all the noobs that cant play Crysis, get a pc that can run it well. Expand

The gameplay is fantastic though, lots of enemies, lots of ammo laying around, open ended approaches to the objectives, and decent vehicles, but the physics for the vehicles really suck - the jeep/humvee vehicle floats about after hitting a hump as if it were made of styrofoam, and so does the boat. On higher difficulties the only approach to a group of enemies is to sneak up all the way, and some enemies can tank way too much damage to be realistic. All in all a Good game, and a good sign of things to come in games, I just REALLY hope they don't water down the graphical standard just to accommodate the console platforms with Crysis 2. Expand

Some would say "like Far Cry with upped poly count" but those are the wet blankets. This game takes everything that made Far Cry great and ups the ante. Pretty much everything has been improved on and the concept of you as a one-man-army is taken to the next level with the nano-suit, and customizable guns. Not reevolutionary, but evolutionary. :P

Best first person shooter in years. Its graphics are unbelievably good. Gameplay is fun and original. Even replayability is pretty high, because of the many ways the game can be played through (stealth, sniper, melee combat, guns blazing, throwing objects). Only down side is that other games' graphics will look rather ugly to you, once you've experienced Crysis.

Think of a game set in the future that takes the best from BFseries, and Coutnerstrike and put it all together in a nice tasty DirectX10 package. Bam, you get Crysis.

I don't get it, I don't understand how so many people could say this game is over-hyped....I'm running it with a 3 year old system with the graphics set on low with a couple on medium and high and it has the most life like graphics I have ever seen, from the leaves on the tress to the tortoises crawling around, it's amazing. The nano-suit is really fun to use, I don't get it, I don't understand how so many people could say this game is over-hyped....I'm running it with a 3 year old system with the graphics set on low with a couple on medium and high and it has the most life like graphics I have ever seen, from the leaves on the tress to the tortoises crawling around, it's amazing. The nano-suit is really fun to use, it's powerful, but not so powerful that it breaks the game; it's simple and you can switch between the modes easily and quickly to perform complex actions like sprint up a hill, megajump and then cloak at the top. I see no major problems with the A.I. It has to track a player that is invisible a sizable amount of the time; the vehicle A.I. is a little strange, but that's only if you consider that the A.I. would rather stay in a vehicle rather than leave it, and that it continues to shoot at you with a vehicle mounted machine gun when your right next to the jeep, but he can still hit you there if he catches you; the same goes for boats. I had a moment where I was in the middle of 20-some North Koreans, so I threw a grenade at a group of them and cloaked and ran away while they were all staring at the explosion, after a bit they picked up on me and stalked me into a creek-bed and I almost didn't escape; I think that shows pretty good A.I. in a game. If I was walking the jungle with a gun looking for some jerk who just blew up my hut, it would take me more than a second to react if said guy appeared in front of me with a assault rifle. The wide expanse of this game allows for very open gameplay. In one instance you could ghost-ride a cargo truck into a command post of an enemy going at 60 to level it; in another, if you wish, you can get into a fortress by slowly infiltrating inbetween guards to get the information and get out without firing a shot. The physics in this game are almost as impressive as the graphics, especially the dynamic model dismemberment, which allows you to level trees and buildings with sometimes as little as your fists. This has come in handy often while playing for me; if I'm trapped in a building I can just switch to strength and punch a hole in the wall and leave through that hole. In the end, this game takes all the elements that have come about since Far Cry and it amplifies them, the graphics are undeniably the most advanced rendering gaming has ever seen, on PC or on Console. The newer physics they've added with structure and vegetation destruction are crazy, I personally spent 15 minutes leveling part of an island of tress just because I couldn't believe how far you could go with it, you can chop them into logs! You can punch a small tree and break it, grab it and use it for soft cover! If you throw a grenade above the forest it creates a realistic shock wave that ripples the leaves on the trees. I just don't see what could be more fun than jumping onto a building and having the roof shot away underneath you so you fall to the ground and immediately throw a grenade to a wall which explodes collapsing the building on-top of the enemies while you jump out of the hole they just shot in the ceiling; as far as action fps shooters go, that's all I could really ask for. Until they implement this kind of thing in a setting like GTA. The reason I gave it a 9 is because all of your squad members are outrageous stereotypes and talk like they're selling crack more than discussing covert-ops, the Koreans "english" voices sound cut straight out of Team America unless your playing on the absolute hardest difficulty, (something which I just don't feel like doing right now, if they had a switch between Korean and English I'd have it on Korean all the time) the grab mechanism is a little more sensitive than I'd like it and it disappointed me that when the frogs jump into the water they don't swim away; and this is really everything I dislike about this game, honestly, so far that's it, that and I don't have a $10,000 computer to run it on ultra, which isn't Cryteks fault. Yea the A.I. is sometimes stupid and will just run to random places with no cover, but try and name any game where the A.I. is flawless. If you try and notice, if you have been spotted by launching a shoulder mounted RPG into a village of KPA officers and resort to hiding in a building afterwards, the A.I. WILL flank you from all sides. You'll find yourself laughing when you pick off a few enemies, then hiding, then getting shot at from all sides as you run around the edges of a village looking for more ammo. Plus theres a range of missions where you an drive civilian cars, KPA armored jeeps, tanks, and planes. With the addition of the NANO suit you wear, you'll have fun sneaking up behind enemies with your cloaking mode, switching to strength mode and flinging enemies across the forest. Single player campaign is nicely textured and not quite as linear as is usual for an FPS - there are often multiple ways to reach your objectives. Not much new to be had though, there's no game element that stands out as particularly innovative once you've got past the sheer beauty of the environment. Multiplayer in particular is a bit meh, there are a million FPS offerings and this just isn't one of the best online ones. Still gets a 9 from me, but it's mostly a shallow 9 for its looks.

Give me a game that lets you destroy more of your environment than Crysis. Then let's see everyone stop complaining. Has anyone noticed that the entire plot is MEANT to throw a single American super-soldier into hordes of Korean soldiers? It's a complete mash-up of every Rambo-style plot out there, aliens and all, except with this one, the enemy is smart enough to avoid being torn down one-by-one, and actively flanks and hunts you down to be sure you don't. Does Call of Duty 4 have intelligent enemies who actively hunt you, using flanking maneuvers and every trick of the tactician's sleeve? Absolutely not, it throws waves of stupid, utterly scripted baddies at you. But like Crysis, it's a rampant blow-everything-up gunfest. The thing is: In Crysis, you have to think about your situation. Play the game on harder difficulties, and the active, sensory AI becomes quite a challenge to take on as just a single Rambo. Unlike the game's detractor's, if one can think about how they use their suit - cloaking in bursts, using strength for stealth kills and jumping getaways, speeding from cover to cover - Crysis can become quite a thrilling shooter experience. You're constantly on your toes in a combat situation, and recon is a recommended strategy - don't expect to rush head-first into the fray as in Call of Duty and expect to do anything productive. My only complaints come from the shoddy Korean voicework (especially on General Kyong), and the nigh-impossible tank controls. When you reach Onslaught on harder difficulties, I wholly recommend ditching the tank for speed/cloak, and planting C4 charges on enemy tanks. One last thing - the helicopters may be absolutely annoying, but if you know what you're doing, it's possible to avoid provoking an airstrike altogether. That's what counts - diversity of gameplay.
