first game ever i wanted to finish badly for the mystery of the story but couldn't for how much i didn't enjoy the gameplay. the pazzles are so random and boring (make food for your animal for example) i just stopped playing after the 10th time i needed to look for a walkthrough to continue playing. this game should have been a movie. even a silent movie. much lost potential.

This game has great visuals, but that's all. Storytelling is pretty much messed and turns out to be very silly when you dig more deeply into it. Gameplay is almost nonexistent here, we have some sparse adventure elements mixed with tedious and boring arcade parts (gladly we can skip those after failure). This game could be very good, but no, only wasted potential we can see here. What a shame...

A good game for the studio that after the collapse was supposed to raise a reputation for itself at least somehow especially.
    Good plot and nice graphics.
The only negative, I hate these damn cubes

It is so beatiful in every way: story, characters, graphics, world. Maybe gameplay is too simple, but this game is not about it, it is about the story, like Dear Esther or Ethan Carter.
But it'll not reveal it's story so easy. You need to look for pieces of the world under every table and in every box. And you need to play it at least 2 times to understand more.

Great interactive story with few puzzles. Good music. Good atmosphere. Player must be very attentive to the records on any piece of paper to understand all story in the end. That's an amazing.

Your goal is to do quests and mini games and through those you experience the world around you. It is extremely atmospheric and very frustrating. The game doesn't tell you anything and you can interact with pretty much everything. It took me an hour to do the first quest which can be done in 5 minutes if you know where to look.

I received the game weeks ago so I'm a bit surprised it is only 13€ albeit it has little to no replay value since the quests are always the same. You can expect to beat the game in less than 10 hours if you're completely clueless, probably around 4 hours in the second playthrough.

The main voice actor is a bit stiff and I don't like him but overall the game is definitely for anyone who wants to experience a strange and beautiful world.

на жаль продовження не буде. чекаємо на новий шедевр від чудової студії

Small but hearttouching game with neat visuals and music. It's a shame that it failed in sales and developers, perhaps, will go bankrupt. Alas, poor Yorick!

I just beat Cradle, it was an huge disapointment! The game was pretty meh, find a few items, do the exact same mini-game over and over, then it ends without you really knowing what happens..

The writing and narrative are flawlessly presented, the player can discover it at his own rate and is rewarded for interacting with the game as much as possible, which is wonderful, but will unfortunately not be as appreciated by players who do not enjoy reading and pondering.
The gameplay is actually well-designed and stimulating. I don't mind the cube puzzles as well, but they change in tone too much from the rest of the game even though they fit well narratively. It's the only oversight to me.

In my opinion the game needs to be played and thought of for a while for it to be complete. You can look for someone else's conclusions about it as well, if too impatient. Essentially almost every piece of information in it is part of the narrative and important.

Congratulations to the developers for releasing something so deep, beautiful and meaningful. Thanks for the exhilarating experience. All i wish is that you made more, and others developed games with such dedication for interactive art and gameplay. It's sorely needed.

What's more boring than cooking ? Cooking in a video game ! Back in the yurt then, where I can open a thousand drawers and read tons of small labels and notes, mostly in English, which is bizarre and not the Mongolia I remember, but fair enough. Sorry but environmental narrative is good when it's in the background, not when it's the only thing to look at. Also, for a game which relies so much on manipulating objects, it's very clunky. Every time I try to put an object back where it was, I end up losing it on the floor. And it seems the crouching key is only there for the purpose of being able to spot things that have fallen to the ground.

    I dislike empty game worlds.

Developed by Flying Cafe for Semianimals (a studio created by former developers of STALKER: Call of Pripyat, Heroes of Might and Magic 5 and Allods Online), Cradle is an immersive, atmospheric adventure game set in a somewhat post-apocalyptic Mongolia.

You wake up in 2076 in a yurt in the middle of a steppe and cannot remember a thing. There is a broken mechanical girl in your room, and a huge, abandoned dome nearby. You can roam the world freely, interact with objects and physics, read tons of documents that help you understand what happened (think Gone Home and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter).

There are a lot or Orwellian things going on here, there is also a mysterious virus called 'desperatoxin' and some strange, smoke-like creatures. Your task is to repair your companion, explore the dome and learn what happened to the world and human society.

Cradle successfully combines a strange world with mysterious story and beautiful design. But the actual game principles are, unfortunately, lagging behind.

A passable game in a fascinating, unique sci-fi world, Cradle is fine to explore but constantly reminds you how much more it could be.
