    Control is an intriguing, fascinating experience. The third-person action, while slick and elegant, is perhaps a little pedestrian - but the completely bonkers story and the rewarding sense of exploration and discovery help cement Control as one of Remedy's best games.

The story could have been better, the enemy line-up can be quite monotonous towards the end, but the great atmosphere overcomes these shortcomings. And most importantly, the gameplay is great.     Control does have its fair share of issues, like the useless map and the subpar pacing of the story. These flaws, however, are not enough to take away from the ever-entertaining fights against enemies, the great atmosphere and the strong worldbuilding. I for one will not leave the Federal Bureau of Control until I’ve unsheathed the last of its mysteries.

    It’s definitely not the worst way to spend 10-12 hours, especially if you're into supernatural fiction and the new weird. Yet Remedy lacked determination (or maybe skill?) to go the distance.

    Very high quality action game. Unique story and excellent game mechanics. Beautiful graphics! PC with RTX on is just pure candy for your eyes!

Perhaps in some future DLC, the protagonist will make a decision not motivated exclusively by the men in her life. Perhaps we'll even see a bit of character development. Hopefully not too much, though. It's unclear if 505 Games is just incapable of creating a single interesting, believable, or remotely human character, or if the studio is just plain old sexist, giving their female protagonist no interiority or development and relegating her to the role of a cold exposition machine who exists to serve other characters.… Expand
