    If you're looking for a creepy/unsettling game, this is a great choice. The gameplay is not bad, but it gets a bit stale after a while. Progression is slow and enemies get overpowered very quickly. Fortunately, the game has cheats built in so it's easy to get over, just unfortunate that they didn't balance the default game better. The story starts out very strong but kind of falls on it'sIf you're looking for a creepy/unsettling game, this is a great choice. The gameplay is not bad, but it gets a bit stale after a while.     It is a good game overall.

    What I liked: It has astonishing physics, very nice but a little repetitive puzzles, and the game-play just keeps getting better the more special abilities you unlock. What I disliked: I finished it after 17 hours and still understand literally nothing. It takes a lot of time to catch the interest of the player as the game just throws you on the situation    It is a good game overall.

    I finished it after 17 hours and still understand literally nothing. It takes a lot of time to catch the interest of the player as the game just throws you on the situation without giving you any clue. And more of a personal thing... in conversations , those close ups to Jesse's face feel really uncomfortable + I don't think internal dialogue is a nice resource.

    What I hated:
    Mini map, it does not work, sometimes you look at it and you are outside even in non secret areas, it just works for nothing. And finally, this game should have used a wheel to change weapons, but instead, you have a clumsy way of equipping only 2 and rapidly change in between those 2 only.

    - graphics are awesome with ray tracing enabled.
    - dark atmosphere.
    - gameplay : a few useful powers and weapons make you very powerful against enemies hordes
    - manual saves

    The bad :
    - enemies respawn
    - uninteresting secondary quests.
    - requires a very powerful PC at 4k with ray tracing enabled.

    Fun exciting game, but the ending got a bit repetitive. The graphics were amazing but the story was just a bit too obscure for me.

    A visually impressive and polished sci-fi gaming experience. Although Control is tremendously successful in its style, plot, dialogue, and graphics, it's only mediocre regarding its gameplay and action, which comes down to shooting plus a few supernatural abilities. And without a scoring system, this amounts to a game that I predict people will enjoy playing once but only once. I recommendA visually impressive and polished sci-fi gaming experience. Although Control is tremendously successful in its style, plot, dialogue, and graphics, it's only mediocre regarding its gameplay and action, which comes down to shooting plus a few supernatural abilities. And without a scoring system, this amounts to a game that I predict people will enjoy playing once but only once. I recommend holding off on playing Control until you have a potent computer that can max out the graphics with ray tracing so you can experience this game at its best.… Expand

    control sucked because one didn’t know where to go and the gunplay was terrible. enemies took far too many bullets relative to magazine size. the story was confusing too. It made me think "what is this game about"

    This is going to have to be a that I put away without completing, which is something i very rarely do, especially if I have gotta as far in as I have with Control (The Face of the Enemy mission is where I tapout). I might end up finishing but its hardly a game that has kept me hooked to say the least.

    *A game that fells like it what's to be a movie... Check. (every character delivers there lines like a hammie actor, instead of saying "okay, I'll go now" you'll get "Okay.................................................................. I'll go.............................................................. now..................................................." with more less every line of dialog)

    *A map that confuses people more then it helps... Check, and i know that I'm not the only one with this issue by a long shot, just google it.

    This game is so much wasted potential.
    I would have loved to give this game a 8 or maybe even a 9.
    But there are some major flaws. Positives: + The launch ability feels amazing on itself + The graphics are very good + It has some (!) very nice and crazy looking areas Negatives: - The map is just a joke - The combat gets stale very quickly, because its always the same -    This game is so much wasted potential.
    I would have loved to give this game a 8 or maybe even a 9.
    But there are some major flaws.

    Positives:
    + The launch ability feels amazing on itself
    + The graphics are very good
    + It has some (!) very nice and crazy looking areas

    Negatives:
    - The map is just a joke
    - The combat gets stale very quickly, because its always the same
    - Totally unnecessary "go here and kill stuff" quests. And those quests even pop up randomly and have a time limit! I don't know who decided these quests would add anything to the experience. They do not.
    - Not much enemy diversity (and enemies despawn, which feels bad)
    - The majority of areas are bland offices
    - There is way way wayyyy too much stuff to read/watch/listen to everywhere. Some of the things you can read is funny, but the majority of it are boring science results etc. And it is just too much. If you really want to read everything the play time is 50% playing and 50% reading stuff.
    - The majority of characters are boring (the female scientist, the security guy, etc.). Only the janitor is kind of interesting

    All in all it is a decent action 3rd person shooter. But the map killed it for me. The thing is an insult to every other gaming map. Half of the time it does not show the correct layout of the map, the other half you get confused because you can never see **** because the different levels are on top of each other without any separation. Fortunately the signs within the game world are good enough to use those for orientation. But even then you sometimes get quests telling you to go to some generic place and you just don't know where to go.    … Expand

    I stopped playing after just a few hours. The good: great graphics, paranormal/sci-fi atmosphere, acting, physics and combat is fun, although I've heard it gets repetitive toward the end. The story is interesting but convoluted and confusing, and this is a VERY story-focused game. What I didn't like: there's WAY too much lore to read. The map is awful as it doesn't change according to what level you are on. You can't zoom in or out. (Also why the hell would they put the map on the directional pad UP button?! Never got used to it.) The enemy variety is a bit lacking and a lot of environments feel the same. Ultimately if you like paranormal/sci-fi story-driven games, you should give this a try. The atmosphere is great. Just don't go into it looking for a top notch game play experience like I did, it's a bit of a let down on that front.… Expand

    The gameplay is really boring after a few hours as it gets repetitive pretty easily because of overwhelming backtracking. Too bad, as the idea behind the game is quite interesting.

    The story and characters are the weakest part of Control, the graphics, and music are decent. Control shines in its gameplay, the multitude of ways to engage combat with levitating, ground-pounding, chucking objects, and shooting with different weapons is great fun. Since the game isn't too long I don't think the gameplay gets repetitive quick enough.

    The game devs spent all the resources for graphics and visuals .
    Gameplay is repetitive and gets boring over the time .
    Jesse fedan face looks like a female character from 10 year old game.

    I did enjoy the old RPG element of revealing little bit of the story by collecting documents, etc. and talking to NPCs. And I enjoy the power you get to a degree however the game has a few flaws. Even when you have your awesome power, the hiss infected enemies are still very powerful, not the regular ones but the floating ones who use telekinesis and the ones who carries a rocket launcher.I did enjoy the old RPG element of revealing little bit of the story by collecting documents, etc. and talking to NPCs. And I enjoy the power you get to a degree however the game has a few flaws. Even when you have your awesome power, the hiss infected enemies are still very powerful, not the regular ones but the floating ones who use telekinesis and the ones who carries a rocket launcher.

    They hit like a Mack truck however you don't have too much room to manuever in the later fights as you constantly dies due to being overwhelmed by enemies. And the worst part is that you get a 10% penalty every time you die. So that means when you need to upgrade your health, etc. it takes forever to do so.

    Another thing I found was that the game is mostly based in a bland building setting so it really kind of messes up tracking at times as all of the offices look alike after a while. Even though you do have hints at time where to go, the blandness of the environment does not help you at all.

    Overall this game has some cool concepts but the environment and the artificial difficulty rubs some points off what could have been an excellent game.    … Expand

    The difficulty is challenging even for experienced gamers, but not too hard.
    The quick travel system is good. It's not worth it in terms of rewards to play the side missions. It's only worth it if you have a lot of fun with the gameplay and like additional tasks/stories.    The game is quite creepy, I would say more thriller than horror.     Es lohnt sich bezüglich Belohnungen nicht, die Nebenmissionen zu spielen. Es lohnt sich nur, wenn man viel Spass am Gameplay hat und zusätzliche Aufgaben/Geschichten mag.

    Bosses are extremely difficult and when you die the load times are excessive and there is no difficulty setting either, this can mean 2 minutes of challenging a boss before you die and then having to wait 5 minutes for the game to load again and add another 3 minutes to get back to the boss.     As a game developer, I'm glad to see that skills weren't as dumbed down as in the most of the games, and they allow some interesting interactions, overall they fill pretty organic and fluid in the battle.
    Shooting feels heavily impaired, even with a few variations of the gun. Mods are simply boring and not powerful enough at any level. I mean, realism is great, but I've rarely seen situations where I'd use anything but sniper mode for long-range targets, everything else dies much faster from the skills.
    Writing is disappointing, to say the least. It's some "young-adult novel" level mixed with fanfic about SCP foundation. Epilogue is really empty.
    Replayability is non-existent, repetitive tasks are getting boring even during main campaign.

    Wokeness level is annoying. All positive characters are female, all antagonists(and looks like all enemies at all) are male. Guess who's dying in all side quests? You've guessed right.
    Overall I'm not disappointed about time spent, but I've played it only because it was free on Epic, to see skill mechanics.    … Expand

    Very annoying map, the story is hampered so much by not being able to find were to go making what should be fun frustrating and a overall average experience.
    Like a nice park and good weather and a icecream but you got something sharp in your shoe and it stops you from smelling the flowers and having a good time.

    The gameplay is the star of the game, very frenetic and delicious. You are a Jedi/God. Most of the 'levels' are reasonable but man, the Ashtray Maze is absurdly good. Some puzzles are    Nothing against stories with subjective nuances, but one almost totally like this is that it DEPENDS on you to read files to understand something, I consider it simply BAD (at least the execution point).

    The gameplay is the star of the game, very frenetic and delicious. You are a Jedi/God. Most of the 'levels' are reasonable but man, the Ashtray Maze is absurdly good. Some puzzles are good and some are not so good.

They give you less to nothing explanation on what needs to be done and that turns the game frustrating and boring, it's amazing the amount of people who had to turn to videos on YouTube to solve the puzzles. My job is solving other peoples problems, in short puzzles, and doing the same thing as I would do in my job to have "fun"If you are into puzzles this game is for you, but not for me.     Acabei de terminar o jogo e confesso que sinto um misto bem grande de coisas legais e ruins, eu sou fã do jogo Alan Wake e achei bem memorável na minha opinião, Quantum Break achei bem mediano e Control, é aí que as coisas começam a dificultar, pelo menos para mim.     Acabei de terminar o jogo e confesso que sinto um misto bem grande de coisas legais e ruins, eu sou fã do jogo Alan Wake e achei bem memorável na minha opinião, Quantum Break achei bem mediano e Control, é aí que as coisas começam a dificultar, pelo menos para mim. Eu olhei outros reviews e vi pessoas gostando bastante do jogo por coisas que eu totalmente não gostei, a história é legal, quando não te coloca pra ler inúmeros documentos, isso é massante demais na minha opinião, porque acho que uma produtora como a Remedy teria a capacidade de colocar um lore mais completo que não fosse de forma para segurar um botão e continuar lendo o conteúdo e acredite a ambientação do jogo é extremamente boa, com jogos de cores e luzes que fazem a gente realmente elogiar o que esta vendo. O gameplay é onde eu consigo elogiar facilmente o que joguei, tava pensando em dropar o jogo sem finalizar, mas quando destravei todos os poderes da Jesse eu me sentia simplesmente o pica das galáxias, a forma de se jogar é facilmente o que eu mais gostei no jogo. Bem como falei acho muito dificil dizer se Control é ruim ou bom, acho que depende muito do quanto e o que você procura no jogo, mas por ora posso apenas dizer que não me arrependo de ter comprado.    … Expand

    Really, a tech demo, not a game. Amazing graphics, very pleasant "magic" controls and mechanics, good shooting and no plot.
    Nice shooter for couple nights.

    An audio-visual action banquet that will entertain you with physics and flirting with the supernatural. The story could have been better, the enemy line-up can be quite monotonous towards the end, but the great atmosphere overcomes these shortcomings. And most importantly, the gameplay is great.
