Starbreeze AB, one of Sweden's leading game developers, announced that the company has started a new game project with the working name Cold Mercury. The game is based on a self-developed concept and is based on a "free 2 play" / "freemium" similar business model which differs from the publisher-funded AAA games Starbreeze normally works with.
The new game is in line with Starbreeze's strategy to broaden the product portfolio with online gaming, own gaming rights and be able to develop games according to new business models alongside publisher-funded game development.
