    I loved this game. although it was kind of like resident evil in the sense that there were in fact zombies, the story was different and good. the light and shadow system was great and enemies are intelligent and of course i loved the original enemies you fight. controls were a bit iffy but you get used to them. lastly the rocking boat really gave me a sense of fear and added a greatI loved this game. although it was kind of like resident evil in the sense that there were in fact zombies, the story was different and good. the light and shadow system was great and enemies are intelligent and of course i loved the original enemies you fight. controls were a bit iffy but you get used to them. lastly the rocking boat really gave me a sense of fear and added a great challenge to the game. afterall it is hard to aim in pouring rain and being on a boat beaten by waves doesn't help.     This type of game is rarely seen in PC format, we should be appreciative to what Ubisoft accomplished. Just play it to believe.

    I really enjoyed this game. the graphics were pretty good and the sound was just okay. needed more focus on story and the game is rather linear and short. The game blends RE4 with traditional horror control. I had a lot of fun with it while it last. i wasn't expecting the game to control so well on PC, but i was surprised to find it controlled very well. those who dont like survival I really enjoyed this game. the graphics were pretty good and the sound was just okay. needed more focus on story and the game is rather linear and short.     I like this game. Graphics are good, Gameplay I like, Enemeys are good IMO. Only thing I don't like is the camera. Third person view should've been secondary view, and O-T-S view should've been default. Overall, a good game!

    Not a terrible PS2 port...they did get the menus right (you can use a mouse, though it's buggered/accelerated/laggy). Control options are as good as possible for a game of this type. Which means it's mostly fubar'd, snafu'd...not good. Had no trouble with dual analog gamepad, but for aiming, as always, the mouse is the only way to go. It's a real pain to use the keyboard in this type of game, where the camera switches angles on you and what was forward is now backward, when you're, say, trying to run away from something. Only slightly easier with a gamepad. I thought this type of thing had been criminalized years ago. Should warrant capital punishment. Playing in OTS view alleviates most problems, but when you press the run key, you exit that perspective. I never could decide which control method to use, both are broken. Music was good, but sounds and dialogue usually sounded compressed. Visuals are good geometrically, but textures are straight outta 1998, typical of all PS2 ports/games. Light & shadows are done well at least. Story was somewhat different, but mostly it was the settings that give this game whatever amount of originality it has. Gameplay is pretty much like every survival horror game you've experienced, excepting those weird Fatal Frame games. There are much better 'horror' games to be had on PC for sure, such as the crusty old Clive Barker's Undying and maybe even Doom III. There's not much to this one, but it's really cheap now and will surely give you your $7 worth.… Expand

    It's a good horror game. Since I grew up playing this I absolutely love this mostly 'cause of nostalgia.
    -This play similar to the old school RE titles.
    I honestly don't have any real "bad things" to talk about it. It just a mediocre game that I really love. The biggest issues with this game is that it is really inconsistent in everything. -The Default camera usually blocks your vision    It's a good horror game.     -The game has a "execution" mechanic that really doesn't explain it to you and you'll barely use it, however the ending boss require such thing to beat it.
    -The performance is really weird. At times I was fighting against a bunch of enemies and didn't had a single FPS drop, however there were some areas (especially the last section of the game) that my performance was all over the place. Also my game ended up locking itself up to 30 fps for no reason.

    В детстве обожал подобные игрушки. Атмосферно, кратко и запоминаемо. Очень не хватает подобных игр категории B. Сейчас все игры либо AAA дрянь в открытом мире на 200 часов, либо индюшатина среди которой 99% проектов - это мусор. Так что я скучаю по таким играм. Хотя они были далеко не шедеврамиВ детстве обожал подобные игрушки. Атмосферно, кратко и запоминаемо. Очень не хватает подобных игр категории B. Which is ironic cuz thats when this game came out! Kek! Honestly, this game is not terrible. The plot however is pretty long and boring and overused and long and smelly. You get a girlfriend, but there is only one option for girls. I would like to see more girl in the next installment pls! Anyway, its kinda late. I should get to bed, which is gonna shorten this esteemed review... BUT! Be that as it may, this game is still kinda fun! Play it on your Xbox One, aka the Xbox Original!     Бюджетный клон `Resident Evil 4` на 6 часов при "тяжелом" уровне сложности.

    Из минусов: - странное расположение чекпоинтов, игра то сейвит каждые 5 минут, то бегаешь по 30 - 40 минут с желанием не умереть и не начать всё сначала (ДА ГДЕ ЖЕ СЕЙВ БЛ*ТЬ, ИГРА???). - отсутствие карты, + часы беготни для тех кто не в состоянии запоминать названия локаций и плохо ориентируется в лвл.дизайне    Бюджетный клон `Resident Evil 4` на 6 часов при "тяжелом" уровне сложности.

    - душный финальный босс файт, который требует тупого заучивания действий босса, на столько, что в итоге проходишь его без урона и это не приносит никакого удовольствия.

    Из плюсов:
    - сносный пул вооружения.
    - годная стрельба, а вражеским болванчикам кайфово отстреливать головы.
    - боезапас падает только с военных и военных зараженных, а не с монстров + реализм.
    - прикольное совмещение стилей: камерного вида с угла (как в первых RE), вид за спиной и вид от 3ого лица.

    Camera angles are bad and aiming doesn't help at all. Checkpoint system is frustrating. They are tooooo far away from each other and don't get me started on last level.     Very very very disapointed - so much so; I want my money back after just two hours of ... not exactly play. Graphics are fair enough - nothing to rave. Sound is ok but nothing special, story... what story? and Game Play is utter crap.

Seriously it feels like canned motions were pasted onto the direction keys, no weighting or gameplay feel, and plenty of glitchy shadows and models piercing walls. A programmer could have put there entire gameplay engine together in an afternoon. Great graphics, great sound and music, great cut Somehow this game managed to create worse gameplay mechanics than the original Resident Evil. For some reason the analog joypad axis does not work, so the mouse is the only way to play (and the game was designed for a console...go figure).     Bought the game and played it on the pc for about 30minutes. It is a very poorly designed games when it comes to camara angles and moving the character. No joking when you can move damn near through the whole map without even moving the character. Stupid wind/ship.

Forget WASD, the movement controls for this game are F*KD and the aiming is just as bad. Stopped and uninstalled after just 15 minutes of "play". Gave the game to a friend.     If you are going to rip off the next game of the year at least make it good. Dont bother with this and go out and buy Resident Evil 4.

    ça reprend donc tous les défauts de ce genre de jeu pseudo-horrifique à zombis à la petite semaine : la sauvegarde tous les 36 du mois, les caméras lamentablement fixes et la non-jouabilité générale et généralisée à tous les compartiments du jeu...

    Par exemple, même sur PC, la souris reste excessivement lente quand on vise, juste pour faire chier et de toute façon, aucune manette n'est prise en charge. Chaque commande entraîne de toute façon un temps de réponse non négligeable pour montrer que le personnage est une grosse andouille lente et pesante... à la merci des zombis de mon cul.

    Cela étant, le jeu fonctionne très bien sur Win 7-64 mais reste limité aux résos 4/3 ; VF assez convaincante de que j'en ai entendu ; musique banale et trop envahissante. Bilan : très négatif, cependant ! on s'ennuie, c'est la foire aux poncifs et la jouabilité a coulé à pic, emportant avec elle tout ce merdier de jeu de merde vers les tréfonds de la nullité abyssale.    … Expand

    The game utilises a series of components and dare we even mutter it under our breath, clichés that can be derived from any number of horror films and survival horror titles, which is no big fault since for the most part (travelling aside) the game is an enjoyable title away from the established franchises that does offer some new ideas and details to the genre.

    In the same league as the disposable horror flicks that fill video shelves and late-night cable. It's not particularly frightening, but good atmosphere and short-lived twitch satisfaction is enough to sustain interest for a while.
