May 27, 2014The game's story should have explained why we are trying to jump with the heroine protagonist through floating levels in the air. But nonetheless, Cloudbuilt is a perfect platformer that will charm you with a booster-like tempo along with its graphics.

May 10, 2014It's frustrating to play and frustrating to recommend. I like the style, I like the parkour mechanics overall, but there's a lot of junk to contend with. The antagonistic design (minefields everywhere) is one thing, but the unforgiving checkpoints and limited lives lead to a lot of repetition.

Games Master UKMay 4, 2014Beautiful and ruthlessly addictive. Be prepared to lose your time. And the feeling in your fingers. [June 2014, p.68]
-
May 4, 2014Cloudbuilt is fun once you get the hang of things. A good challenge for those that do not frustrate easily.
-
Apr 30, 2014Cloudbuilt is in no way a bad game, but it does have its flaws; the worst of which are the controls and difficulty curve. If you can get past those, though, you'll find a fairly decent and fun game in a genre that doesn't see a lot of entries. If speed running is your thing, definitely give this one a shot.
-
Apr 14, 2014Cloudbuilt is based on parkour and is at times able to achieve its vision and reveals its potential. When you run, jump and cross everything, with a smooth combination, you feel free. Sadly, some control issues and the useless combat scheme tear its wings.
-
Apr 9, 2014Cloudbuilt’s platforming-as-time-trial-racing premise puts Sonic to shame, but its visual design detracts rather than supports it.
-
Apr 9, 2014Cloudbuilt is a fine game. It’s not a great game. It’s not a really good game. It’s fine.
-
Apr 7, 2014Despite being a wonderful mix of eclectic and refreshing ideas, Cloudbuilt's difficulty relegates it as a hard sell to all but the most dedicated speedrunners and challenge gamers.
-
Mar 31, 2014Cloudbuilt should have been an addictive competitive speedrunner, but its imprecise controls and brutal checkpoints mean that only the most patient and dedicated players will press forward in this uniquely frustrating game.
-
Mar 31, 2014A precise, highly challenging parkour platformer with a heavy emphasis on replaying stages and somewhat unfortunate fascination with projectiles.
-
Mar 31, 2014If you're more intrigued by jetpacks, rocket boosts, wall-running and the thrill of flying off a ramp as you make your way to levels end as fast as you ruddy well can, Cloudbuilt is heartily recommended.
-
Mar 28, 2014A lightning fast reaction test that lacks accurate controls and variety.
-
Mar 27, 2014Cloudbuilt succeeds remarkably in proving that how a game feels and what you do within it can tell stories all on their own.
-
Mar 24, 2014The developer is showing continued effort to tune it up on a regular basis so perhaps soon enough we’ll see the current issues fixed. Until then, it’s recommended for the more hardcore set of gamers who don’t mind dealing with unexpected hiccups on occasion. When it works as intended, Cloudbuilt is simply an exhilarating ride.
-
Mar 22, 2014There are some aspects that we would have liked to see polished, but still, Cloudbuilt is a very original, challenging and addictive experience, that everyone who enjoyed classic platformers should, at least, try.
-
Mar 21, 2014Cloudbuilt is a simple, fast and fun platform that features nice cel shaded graphics and a lot of complex levels to explore. Unfortunately, the controls are so hard that they partially ruin the game experience.
