As I promised, a review now that I played it. It has fullfilled my impressions. As I expected, much more of a fast paced game than it's predecessor.

Variated classes, different ways to play each one and tons of fun is the brand of this game, that IMO, has between his subjects to arrange the fact that the first person camera, makes you get lost whenever someone pases too near of you

For the rest, great game, and great posibilities, improving the gameplay brought by it's predecessor.

I really love this game because it's really skill based. At first when you start playing it it's hard but eventually you get the concepts of slashing and blocking and fighting becomes really rewarding. This expansion provides something the base game does not have - variety! Like the show on Spike, this version of the game doesn't take itself too seriously. What it lacks in features (single player, co-op), it makes up for in unabashed battlefield mayhem which requires some semblance of skill. Each class feels vastly different and requires tactical changes in order to master. Every roundThis expansion provides something the base game does not have - variety! In my opinion, the game is inferior to Medieval Warfare. It seems more gamey, and stupid, like the show from where it's taken. BUT... fighting a Samurai with a Knight well, this is interesting

This game lacks many basic mechanics (i.e I swing a giant 2 handed sword at someone, and they block it with a tiny little dagger....when I'm hitting them from their back.). For $15, it's not worth it. Wait until it goes on sale before even thinking of purchasing this DLC. Graphics are mediocre, and the community is filled with raging little kids. Much better ways to spend your money.

For a Chivalry DLC, this pretty much offers anything you could want from first person slash and dash game.
6 different character classes to play, each with unique weapons, pros and cons with them. Very enjoyable and fun. Only downside is the chat box, that is filled with 10 year old Call of Duty players.

Try to keep in mind that I really love the original game, despite its flaws and bugs, but this DLC/X-Pack really ruffles my feathers. First off the Devs originally stated that they would be releasing all future DLC content for free, but I'll let them slide on that since this is a licensed IP (Deadliest Warrior from Spike TV). Next we have the fact that they didn't bother fixing a number of bugs from the original game that have been present since beta (Server List Bugs anyone?), yet they took the money given to them to work on new content that they can monetize. Even then, I can almost forgive that, seeing as how they need to make money and all that. The final straw being that the DLC just isn't that good.

You would think with all the time and resources they took away from patching the base game, they would have at the very least made the DLC as good as the original game.... You would be wrong however. The game doesn't include Team Objective Mode (basically the primary game mode for the base game that actually has some semblance of a story), the netcode for hit detection has actually gotten worse, ranged weapons don't actually fire on the cross-hair (for example, the samurai's bow always fires low and to the right), and the ranged weapons feel like they have no relevance in the game any longer.

On the upside, everything feels faster and smoother.... Unfortunately that is about it, other than having more weapons to play with.

The gameplay is an 8.5, the biggest downside is that there is no Team Objective game mode, but there are not a lot of "pro players" that do crazy drags and rainbows.

Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior is like Call of Duty. But there are no modern guns or grenades. You will smash your enemies by swords, polearms, scimitars or crossbows.

There are several interesting factions (samurais, pirates, ninjas, spartans, knights, vikings) with different playstyles and weapons. You can try different modes like team deathmatch or last team standing, capture the flag

The game is unforgiving for new players. More experienced players will punish you for every mistake. But when you overcame your first mistakes and learn how to block, dodge, etc... Then you will be rewarded by enjoyment from defeating your opponent.

But thats almost all you can expect from this game.

    PROS
    - Its quite cheap
    - Good 1v1 combat machanics
    - Good factions variability and playstyles
    - Unforgiving but rewarding

    CONS
    - Game is overally not polished enough
    - Weak graphics
    - Weird tutorial

Deadliest Warrior was a cool idea, but wasn't what I expected. The guns are impossible to use, and it's even harder than Medieval Warfare. I got it when it was only a dollar, so I'm not super upset about it, but I usually just stick to the Medieval Warfare, it's just more fun to me.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love this game and I play this most of the time. There only a few things I don't like about the game which is not have the option to play the number of teams that I wanted to play. I just hate to play against 5 other teams. Yes I do like the multi team kill but I would like to have the option to choose want kind of game I like. Expand

( I have almost 900 hours in Chivalry Medievel warfare and around 300 hours in Deadliest warrior)

I like both games very much. CMW is more for competative players. CDW is good for new players that want to just get into the battle as a spartan and LMB spam until they die. Sure there is more classes in CDW but there is ALOT more wepons in CMW in total. In CDW every class has like 8 wepons

The combat system in CMW is better in my opinion. There is actual stamina management. In CMW if you constantly hit someones shield he will run out of stamina and die from your attack but in CDW that's not the case.

CMW - more wepons, maps, TO, customazation and so on
CDW - More classes but less wepons and there is balancind issues

If you liked the description or screenshots from Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior, better buy the original game - Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. And if you already have it, then simply move along.

Plenty of diverse classes and tight combat makes up for a lack of game modes. If you already have Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Deadliest Warrior is a fun expansion pack that offers a welcome change of pace from the main game if deathmatch-oriented matches are in your wheelhouse.

Slapstick dismemberment is fun for a while, but Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior has neither the depth nor the polish to stay in the fight for long.
