    Chime Sharp is an amazing puzzle game that mixes music with puzzles, it builds upon the original game and presents itself as an excellent sequel. If you want an excellent musical journey then look no further than Chime Sharp.

    Chime Sharp è un gioco che superficialmente può sembrare semplice, ma che già dopo le prime partite mi ha portato a ricredermi. Bisogna calcolare bene ogni mossa, velocemente, ma stando anche attenti a non commettere errori che potrebbero pregiudicare irrimediabilmente la nostra partita.
    Il gioco riesce a fondere perfettamente la logica del puzzle game a la Tetris con l'accompagnamento    Chime Sharp è un gioco che superficialmente può sembrare semplice, ma che già dopo le prime partite mi ha portato a ricredermi. Bisogna calcolare bene ogni mossa, velocemente, ma stando anche attenti a non commettere errori che potrebbero pregiudicare irrimediabilmente la nostra partita.
    Il gioco riesce a fondere perfettamente la logica del puzzle game a la Tetris con l'accompagnamento musicale. La sua pecca maggior è che non esiste alcun tipo di spiegazione esplicita delle dinamiche del gioco, quindi per padroneggiare a dovere Chime Sharp bisogna dedicargli un po' di tempo. Ma una volta preso il ritmo, vi posso garantire che sarete letteralmente trascinati nel suo gameplay e riuscirete a distaccarvene con estrema difficoltà.    … Expand

    A game with just as much potential as it has problems…
    Chime sharp is a music meats Tetris styled puzzle game... The concept is simple.. make blocks, cover the board, increase your score while the game reads your shapes as notes… There are 16 different levels here that are unlocked as you get high enough scores on precious levels… all with 4 different modes to change the    Chime Sharp
    A game with just as much potential as it has problems…
    Chime sharp is a music meats Tetris styled puzzle game...
    The concept is simple.. make blocks, cover the board, increase your score while the game reads your shapes as notes…
    There are 16 different levels here that are unlocked as you get high enough scores on precious levels… all with 4 different modes to change the gameplay up that aren’t unlocked until you master the previous mode…
    And mastering these modes are very hard to do because of the games underlying problems…
    This is a puzzle game.. But the rounds go by so fast that I never felt I was using my brain...
    I was reacting, frantically rotating shapes and placing them trying to create blocks and fill up the score bar at the bottom…
    I felt there was never time for me to think ahead...
    Because of this I never felt I was making progress with the game… just that I was mindlessly going through levels getting lucky while some cool music played in the background…
    Another issue I have that also stops any feeling of progression is that every board gives you different shapes to use and it doesn’t tell you the shapes that level uses beforehand so you have no idea what to build for or how you should be setting up slots for future shapes..
    To be fair, you can eventually memorize the shapes for each level and make a note yourself... though you shouldn’t have to... but you can...
    But even if you do so, this will hardly matter for some levels because the difficulty of them are based solely on the color scheme of these levels…
    as you clear blocks they change colors and in some stages the color matches too closely with your shape in hand so it’s hard to see where you’re placing anything…
    Chime Sharp is a cool idea…
    But the timer is too fast.. It’s sometimes too hard to see the board… and the game constantly changes the rules without telling you…
    It’s an alright puzzle game… definitely a challenge…
    but for all of the wrong reasons.
    I give Chime Sharp
    a 6/10    … Expand

    The idea to fuse Tetris with a music game was a good one, but Chime Sharp failed to escape repetitiveness, so it’s not suitable for longer sessions. It’s a good way to stretch your brain every now and then though. [05/2017, p.55]

    Chime Sharp builds upon the original Chime by stuffing it with more game modes and improving the presentation. The series once again brings a consolidation of simple, but addictive puzzle mechanics and a wonderfully pleasing dynamic soundtrack that combines together with the colourful visuals to deliver a challenging treat for anyone who likes a stimulating puzzle game with fantastic music.
