    A charming but deliberately slow-paced life sim, Cattle Country puts an emphasis on self-sufficiency and discovery. If you’re willing to learn, the title can offer hours of challenge and rewards and provides a wealth of autonomy. Patience is essential on this homestead, making every achievement genuinely feel earned.

    From mini shoot-outs to cute little outfits and architecture, it presents a bright, semi-historical world to live in, complete with a tiny saloon and a jail cell for those who break the law. While Cattle Country isn’t quite unique in the world of farm and life simulators, it does just enough differently to make it a warm and wonderful experience.

    Cattle Country is all around a functional, enjoyable game. However, it does little to innovate on an already established farming sim formula. If you like games like Stardew Valley, then I would recommend at least trying Cattle Country to see if it scratches that same itch. You won’t find a particularly exciting experience, but you might enjoy a calm, wholesome game.
