    Hands down! One of my favorite games that I have ever played, especially with 4 player co-op and trophy hunting on my old PlayStation 3, and now, acclaimed my remastered platinum trophy just this week!

    Playing this game alone is a boring slog with levels taking up to ten minutes but when playing with a friend the game is ten times more fun. The humor and animations are on-point and the gameplay is tolerable. I would recommend mostly just playing with friends.

    Так и не смог осилить эту игру... ни разу. Обожаю следующую игру от Бегемотов: Battleblock Theater, но эта прям не идет. Просто как-то надоедает через пару часов.

    Fun game with different ways to play and funny graphics. And music is so good. Plot isn't boring and overall this game is a good way to spend time with friends. Perfect for those who's looking for good split-screen game to play with someone. I finished the whole game after playing with my friend for 6 hours straight and there are ways to continue: complete challenges to unlock characters,Fun game with different ways to play and funny graphics.     This game has an inherent charm that makes me warm to it more than I probably should, it may be because of its roots in Newgrounds, but what it boils down to is a side-scrolling beat 'em up with a cartoony artstyle. The game is surprisingly short, especially if you play with friends, and wants you to replay multiple times with different characters.     - It's a fun button-masher that is most fun played with friends (either couch co-op or online). It reminds me a lot of the original Double Dragon I played as a kid. It has interesting and varied boss fights.
    The Bad: - Can be frustrating at times against certain enemies, and can get repetitive. Perhaps best played in small doses. The Ugly: - It mocks saving-the-princess    The Good:

    I had a blast with Castle Crashers. It’s basically a modern take on old school beat ‘em ups. You collect power ups and weapons along the way and smash enemies while you are side scrolling. The biggest strength of Castle Crashers is its humor. There are not many good games out there that can make you laugh and Castle Crashers is one of the few. Boss fights are entertaining and graphics areI had a blast with Castle Crashers. It’s basically a modern take on old school beat ‘em ups. You collect power ups and weapons along the way and smash enemies while you are side scrolling. The biggest strength of Castle Crashers is its humor. There are not many good games out there that can make you laugh and Castle Crashers is one of the few. Boss fights are entertaining and graphics are charming.

    I used to play this game every day with some friends and thought I should write it a review.

    A classic for me, a really fun side-scrolling beat 'em up that can be played solo, online and local co-op. You can play through the main story, do arenas, and then there's "insane mode" which is similar to new game+ in a way, enemies get massively tougher and you play through again.     + Playable with mouse & keyboard aswell as controller
    + Lots of weapons & pets to collect

    Amazing beat em up game that is best played with friends. Enemy types are great, its challenging but not unfair like battletoads. and its funny.

The weapons lack much variation but the combat is engaging enough, and items are pretty much required to play through. The ideal way to play is with three others, but no matter what it's a pretty difficult game during onslaughts of tons of enemies and annoying boss areas, but it helps a bit. (I'm not sure if the game is harder the more players there are). The unique magic of each fighter is lots of fun and really useful also, in addition to other things that mix up and identify each levels, like animals you can ride on. Another part I really love is the multiplayer battle at the end of each level when you save a princess. My only annoyance is pretty minor, though some boss battles are painfully stretched out (like the catfish one) and take up to 10 minutes to beat. Either way , this game is great and fun in both aesthetics and gameplay.… Expand

    Este juego intenta parecer un RPG cuando en realidad tiene muy poco o nada de estas mecanicas. Los enemigos son muy resistentes y no hay muchas mejoras por obtener. Tampoco podes personalizar a tu personaje, y si bien el multijugador es divertido, las mecanicas de juego no son del todo satisfactorias, siendo un machacabotones constante.     Интересный, но всё же чуть приедающийся к концу геймплей, разнообразные враги и локации, юмор, классное графическое исполнение, а главный плюс - это ко-оп.

    One of the best indie games of all time. A story mode with some hilarious and epic moments that makes you to love this game. Multiplayer story mode is one of the best things that this game has. Also the other game modes are great to have fun with friends or online against other players

    I received Castle Crashers as a gift from an old friend some years ago, and didn’t get around to finishing it until just yesterday. Its a 90s-style beat-em-up for up to four player coop both local and online, originally featured on Xbox Live Arcade before finding its true home here on PC. While they recommend that you use an Xbox controller, I can safely say that using a keyboard is muchI received Castle Crashers as a gift from an old friend some years ago, and didn’t get around to finishing it until just yesterday. Its a 90s-style beat-em-up for up to four player coop both local and online, originally featured on Xbox Live Arcade before finding its true home here on PC. While they recommend that you use an Xbox controller, I can safely say that using a keyboard is much more responsive and in the long run will save you some frustration. Combat is fast and frenetic and you can quickly find yourself stunlocked into oblivion, so it is important to learn the game’s exceedingly simple but egregiously spamable combos so that you screw over your enemies harder then they could ever do to you. It’s also one of those games where ordinary packs of enemies are more dangerous then bosses, mostly due to their numbers and worse, a lack of mook chivalry- everything that can attack you at once, WILL attack you at once. I believe I initially left off of the campaign out of frustration over its apparent difficulty, though I now understand that what I thought was legitimate challenge was really just a lot of cheap ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t, which I was able to overcome by cheesing the game right back. That said, I enjoyed Castle Crashers’ bizarre art style, colorful palette and responsive controls, as well as its rather large range of characters and weapons. I completed a playthrough as the green knight with a focus on strength and defense, which proved a relatively safe and reliable approach. There is a dizzying lineup of unlockable characters, some of which require at least two playthroughs to acquire. While readily enjoyable alone once one learns how to play, Castle Crashers is an experience best shared with others in coop multiplayer.… Expand

    A really fun, entertaining game. Terrible to play without a controller, so this shouldn't really be a PC port as they did not optimise it to work well on a keyboard, it's hard to just press A to move left, you can't as you have to use diagonal, so a joystick is essential.

    While I like playing this game, keyboard controls are frustrating and if Iam playing on PC I shouldn't have to use a    A really fun, entertaining game. Castle Crashers is a fun game to play alone and with your friends with its great music and wacky comedy (from farting birds to bears reading newspapers then farting), the only thing I have to comment about is the level of difficulty, I don't know how easy it is withCastle Crashers, a game developed by The Behemoth - the same people that recently developed for Steam "BattleBlock Theater". Castle Crashers is a fun game to play alone and with your friends with its great music and wacky comedy (from farting birds to bears reading newspapers then farting), the only thing I have to comment about is the level of difficulty, I don't know how easy it is with a friend with Co-Op/Multiplayer but on your own with Singleplayer it can be really difficult sometimes and also if you have a controller... USE IT! This game does not run well with a keyboard and the developers weren't bothered to change the XBOX symbols to keyboard symbols and vice versa, so if you were like me at first playing with a keyboard, your kinda stuck and it is very un-enjoyable to play with a keyboard, so if you have or you can afford one, play with a controller by all means necessary!… Expand

    Castel Crashers is a Indie game very addictive and fun,with simple combo.First time I play this game i found it strange and I thought I would get bored quickly but actually it was not so.I recommend this funny weird game :)

    An absolute addiction, a thoroughly entertaining beat’em up. Despite its age (it was first released for the Xbox, four years ago), it’s a first class option for frantic co-op mayhem. [November 2012]
