    The Park Ranger is so extreme preservationist , it is borderline impossible to listen to him talk for more than 2 mins. He also does nothing but talk. THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER (and yes I apologize I put that in all caps because the easy and seamlessly multiplayer is a load of horse dung.) My friends and I have tried for 10 hrs. or so to do multiplayer and all we get is errors. So why did fishing come last in the order of importance. Their is absolutely no labeling of lakes or ponds names. So you have no clue where you are fishing at. Their are fishing challenges to do at certain places, but with no info you spend 4 hrs driving around instead of fast traveling and spending 4 hrs fishing. Coming off The Hunter the graphics are very very sub par. No third person view when driving vehicles so almost impossible to not drive into things.… Expand

    Call of the Wild: The Angler is a fishing game that allows you to explore its wide map beyond just the fishing spots, which makes it fun to discover new fishing locations. That being said, for players not looking for exploration this can also result in a tedious experience. Also, the fishing float mechanics are terrible for a fishing game.

    Call of the Wild: The Angler offers vast, varied environments, as well as lots of equipment to chose from, but obviously is simplified in comparison to real fishing and devoid of its many subtleties. There are moments when the game is fun even despite some considerable flaws and the ridiculously limited multiplayer component, but as a whole it presents a quality level more befitting Early Access than a finished game.
