    Shortly before Rockstar revolutionized the western genre with the Red Dead Redemption series, Call of Juarez was the real deal for all gunslinger fans. And Bound in Blood is by far the best installment. Nice story, cool gameplay and beautiful style. Overall rating: 8.6.

    It's neither good nor bad, it's average since the physics are good the graphics are nice and the weapons are slow and behave just like they really did in the past! however, violence is lacking as blood remains on the floor Or walls, the lifeless colors unlike GUNSINGLER which has bright colors, the disappearing bodies (this is totally off-putting and takes away the immersion

    the story and the graphics are pretty good for such an old game. you can easily play it on low end pcs on high graphics without experiencing much lag. it has some minor bugs and issues but overall its a 9/10

    Call of Juarez bound in blood is an interesting prequel. I don't think it's hats all the right notes of the original but it is a very interesting game and the gameplay is very satisfying to shoot. It is very interesting to play as 2 despicable human beings. I mean they are good Brothers to each other soo of the time and are interesting but they are not good people.     Nije nista spec, ne bih je vise nikad igrao, bila je bukvalno samo ok, prica je sranje, gameplay posle nekog vremena postane all the same all the same i to je to.

    FPS ambientado en el oeste con una historia que ni fu ni fa y con mecánicas vistas mil veces en otros juegos. Es entretenido sin más y gráficamente está chulo incluso hoy en día, pero no va a pasar a la historia ni mucho menos.     This would have been a 7 out of 10 but gave it 8 for the efforts put it in here despite having a significantly small budget. Techland didnt compromise its story. The missions were set in varied locations and i really liked the forested terrains which demonstrates Chrome engine's ability to create beautiful maps. The story felt alright if not great.     This game is a perfect representation of everything that went wrong with the FPS genre in the late 2000's into the 2010s. Brown, shaky cam, blurry, enemies blending into the background, a half-assed story filled with cliches, and absolutely awful mechanics that make it a nightmare to play. The game isn't fun. Both in game mechanic term - such as having turret sections and on-rails sections, and in story terms - such as having a section of fighting off an enemy army in a war effectively single-handed. None of the choices the characters make come from a place of logic, just "we need to do this to have an excuse to shoot more things." They reuse set pieces and entire levels from the first game (which makes sense to a degree but when the finale is a lifted wholesale from the first game it's an extreme let down). Though I think the worst mechanic is having the AI companion who gets in your way more often than not, like any other AI companion does.

    The entire game is lazy. No thought was put into it. No "why is this happening", no designing levels logically around events. Everything is there "because video game". It's not art, it's soulless product. Avoid it.    … Expand

    В свое время эта игра была охуенной: атмосфера дикого запада передавалась отлично, графон хорош, даже открытый мир был. Но сейчас я не смог в нее поиграть, слишком старая.

    In the second part there is nothing of this, it is a dull shooting gallery, from the beginning to the very end, with the same gameplay, regardless of which character you play for. "Run and shoot target" is a game that could be interesting if you have at least some good script. But this is not here, the script seems to be written by a naive inexperienced schoolboy, and all the intrigue revolves around the banal conflict around the girl, it is simply impossible to follow this plot without tears.

    The atmosphere of the wild west is not. I understand that it is stupid to compare with "Red dead redemption", but the atmosphere here is not at all. In those moments when they give you a walk around the open world, you will see empty locations and even entire settlements! (consisting of two barracks and 3 NPC, two of which are your brothers, and a third seller), this is extremely weak even in comparison with the "Gun" 2005 year of release.

    The game is not all bad. There is quite a dynamic and interesting shooting systemists, but due to the length of the game, and shooting over time becomes unbearable.

    The final verdict is bad. 3 out of 10.    … Expand

    One of the best games that i have ever played. Great story told, good soundtracks and voices of actors. If u don't have console but want western, this is one of the best.

After 4 years after the first part, Techaland has something to show, they did the work on the errors, threw a miserable stealth, pulled up the shooting, removed the whining about faith, reduced the location making them more linear, but at the same time in this game only plus. In General, it turned out a good game, a prequel to the first part, which for me is now an example of a good game of this genre.

В этой части абсолютно все приятно делать:стрелять, следить за сюжетом, ездить на конях, стрелять из разного оружия, выполнять побочные задания, и закупаться у очередного торговца. Спустя 4 года после первой части, Techaland есть что показать, они сделали работу над ошибками, выкинули убогий стелс, подтянули стрельбу, убрали нытье про веру, уменьшили локации сделав их более линейными, но в тоже время в данной игре только плюс. В целом получилась хорошая игра, приквел к первой части, который лично для меня является теперь примером хорошей игры данного жанра.    … Expand

    A good shooter with a decent story but somewhat lackluster characters. It has a decent difficulty and lasts long enough to make it worthwhile at the cheap price it's available at these days. I wish more games had a western theme as it's a setting that hasn't been fully explored yet.

    The Good: -Decent story with good voice acting. -The gameplay mechanics are solid, and not too repetitive. -Graphics: While many things look average, some of the environments are truly beautiful (at times on par with Crysis 1). -This game does not shy away from    Bound in Blood is a much smaller game than Red Dead Redemption, but it is still one of the best wild west themed shooters.

    The Good:
    -Decent story with good voice acting.
    -The gameplay mechanics are solid, and not too repetitive.
    -Graphics: While many things look average, some of the environments are truly beautiful (at times on par with Crysis 1).
    -This game does not shy away from christian themes, which fit well with the story. And it does so without seeming unpleasantly pro or anti christian.
    -A good manual save system (no annoying checkpoint reloads).
    -No Ubisoft Uplay account required!

    The Bad (mostly minor):
    -A very low Field-of-View (not fixable) due to being optimized for console TV screens.
    -The first level (tutorial) has clumsy scripting and mediocre graphics, but it gets better with later levels.
    -Bodies disappear the moment you look away, due to silly Xbox360/PS3 RAM limits.
    -AI is mediocre (not a big problem since most things are scripted)
    -screen vibration effects severely overdone during scripted explosions.
    -Enemies move like ants (no movement inertia), making aiming a pain sometimes.

    The Ugly:
    -No COOP mode! With the two protagonists working together, this game would have been perfect for co-op, and yet there is no co-op mode! What a missed opportunity!

    Overall, I can easily recommend this game, especially in a sale.    … Expand

    There have been western "cowboy" games that have come and gone; Red Dead Revolver, Gun, etc...but none of them have been mastered as this was. Call of Juarez: BiB is epic, stunning, emotional, romantic and most of all action-packed! If you're looking for a great game and are willing to take a break from CoD, this is the one. Great directing, awesome voice-overs and it delivers. A must!     This game completely out of nowhere for me, I had never heard of the game when I first started playing. This game was a fantastic surprise. The graphics were surprisingly good and really captured the atmosphere of the old west.. I really enjoyed the small side missions that you complete to earn money, it had a "mini-open-world", feel to it. I loved the gunplay, everything from the reloading, to the pulling back of the hammer before every shot. The music in this game was satisfactory, and it did capture the atmosphere of the game, but it was nothing to be remembered. The story alone was a 7/10, this game was carried mostly by its outstanding gameplay and environment. The story didn't really have me thinking what will happen next, instead it had me thinking, "Oh who are we going to shoot up now?" or "What new environment will we run around in next?". The voice acting was superb, except for William and Ray's voice. Both of these characters sounded like they were slightly out of place. So it wasn't really the voice acting itself, it was the casting of the voice I found off a bit. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood will remain my favorite shooter of all time because of its great lend of variety in gameplay, environment and its great story.… Expand

    I really really wanted to like this, but the characters I'm supposed to care about in this.. I just don't. They're cliche's and the game itself is a workable western (well, except for the fact that your guys have bullet time superpowers) and, well, really it's a near miss. A bit more care on the characters and plot and it might have been there.

    Great characters and storytelling, somewhat shtty ai and I wish the maps were somewhat more imaginative but the overall scenery, atmosphere and story more than make up for limited gun-play.

If you think the voice acting is good, you must not have every seen a Pixar movie, or spent much time around an actual southerner. The accents always sound forced and fake. The controls are clunky and the mechanics of motion and aiming are somehow cheap feeling.     Just finished the game and although I had a lot of fun playing it, it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth because the duels were extremely frustrating. If they would have given an option to skip them I would definitely have rated this game much higher.

    This game has some amazing scenery for a low budget 2009 game. The rich world environment is where I feel the game excelled the most. There is very little to complain about with this game, however, if I had to it would be about the lack of a melee attack when your enemies and comrades perform them with ease throughout the game.

    I was never amazed by any feature or aspect of this game, but never at any time was I disappointed or bored either. Though this game fails to deliver an epic experience, it is by no means an unworthy one.
    In the end, Bound in Blood is an extremely solid title sitting at a base price of only $9.99. Any gamer should be able to enjoy this game at its price, but this is a must-buy if your a western fan. Do to the amount of content, taking only 6 hours to beat the campaign, I cannot rate this game higher than a 7/10, but for its price it is a worthy title.    … Expand

    This game was ok but it got a bit boring as every mission had the same feel and it was really repetitive but if you just like shooting, then this game is perfect for you but I personally think its mediocre.

    It uses many stereotypes, brings them to the maximum and keeps us in a world of political incorrectness, showing us hard environment were life is worth nothing: Wild West from cinema and literature enters Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, turns into a videogame and is still recognizable in all its elements, making the most of the spectacle of the medium.

    It's often gorgeous to look at and the story is worth experiencing, but the multiplayer is nothing more than a slight distraction and the lack of co-op is a missed opportunity. Bound in Blood is worth a look, but as a sequel it doesn't take the series on enough.
