    A pretty average fps, stuck within the terrible user interface that has become the modern warfare game center.

    Story was mediocre. Game mechanics are clunky and even worse in multiplayer.

    I tried to refund but it was too late. Don't waste your $ on this lazy cash grab.

    I actually write reviews very rarely and even less for a game.
    This is a little late but I think I have to say it.
    What the hell is going on with your engine that it needs so much power to run smoothly at 100fps? Sure my PC isn't the best and fastest but I'll be honest, when I play a Battlefield 2042 at 1080p and high settings, I easily get my 60 fps. With COD the Call of duty junk    I actually write reviews very rarely and even less for a game.

    Sure my PC isn't the best and fastest but I'll be honest, when I play a Battlefield 2042 at 1080p and high settings, I easily get my 60 fps. With COD the Call of duty junk engine you get your 60fps while standing but as soon as there is action the FPS number drops and the game suddenly only runs with 25/30 FPS.
    So the game is simply not playable for me and the money is thrown out the window. I hope that future games (after the current Modern Warfare) get a better engine and run smoother.    … Expand

    Worst story mode in CoD universe. Game mechanics are still good but story was worst part of the game.
    It took 6 hours to finish. I already tried to finish all multiple choices. I spent 60$..
    10$ per hour. It "must" be a joke! Please refund peoples money which is played in story mode.

    I bought this game so i can enjoy it online with friends since the day it was released on PC, its been nothing but problems.

    I been getting errors with directx, I been getting connection problems, chat voice problems every update that comes out just end up screwing the game up.     Je peux paraitre aigri, mais j'attends mes clés de prestige depuis 1 an et j'ai envoyé plusieurs mail, sans jamais recevoir aucune réponse. Et ce problème est connu.

    Campaign is meh, too many little cucks camping in multiplayer, and the only thing good about this game is the zombies mode. If you like mp, play mw2019 or plutonium.

When i first started with the multiplayer, it was fine, but after a few weeks my performance went down and my weapons were no longer good, and enemy players had the advantage over me.     Really, my critique of this game is aimed towards the awful multiplayer mechanics, like being able to pay for a gun and immediately have an advantage. As well as seemingly broken features, like spawning infront of an enemy and immediately dying, or vice versa.
    There also feels like there's an aim assist issue of consistency not being met, especially when against players with purchased equipment. Sounds about right for a triple A developer these days.

    I really want to like this game, but yeah.
    Also, had to force V-Sync via the Nvidia Control Panel because the in-game V-Sync just doesn't work.    … Expand

    The round starts, someone comes around the corner with the Shotgun Pistol, Aimt doesn't press once and you're dead. You respawn right in front of an enemy who shoots you in the back. The game is just no fun. Don't buy it!

Guns are unbalanced, the sound is absolute trash, the movement is clunky at best, game mechanics seem to be dialed up to 200% from MW. From very noticeable thing like poor graphics and animations to details like clunky sounds and a cartoony look, this game is closer to fortnite than to an actual call of duty game. It is because of this game that I'm going for battlefield this year. Don't buy it

    The game is unplayable. Can not get into a game that is starting fresh. Only get put into games that are completely one sided, only get put into hopeless to win matches because Activision doesn't have pride in anything they make. All due to developer incompetance.

    I left the game in the beta with level 10 and a k/d of 1.90, a couple of months later (I mean this week) I bought the game to give it a try, the worst thing I did. In my first game they already paired me with masters prestige and not a single normal level, at least all prestige. I have played about 6h with a k/d of 1.60 and I can confirm that this is the worst COD I have ever played in myI left the game in the beta with level 10 and a k/d of 1.90, a couple of months later (I mean this week) I bought the game to give it a try, the worst thing I did. In my first game they already paired me with masters prestige and not a single normal level, at least all prestige. I have played about 6h with a k/d of 1.60 and I can confirm that this is the worst COD I have ever played in my life, I have not enjoyed a single minute of the game, only playing extremely competitively to make decent games. This game is so bad and it has pissed me off so much that this is the first time I have commented on something on this forum just to vent. C - A - N - C - E - R… Expand

    What feature, or lack thereof, would compel a Call of Duty fan to buy or skip a new entry at this point? It plays fine, and it’s the most recent one. That’s usually enough.

    Overall, I love the old-school feels of Black Ops in Cold War and I love the storyline. All of the modes are fun to play and offer a lot for old players and new players alike. It is fun to get back into the action with players from all consoles and on PC to make the action that much better with cross-play. There are some issues with multiplayer that will seemingly never go away but such is life for an online multiplayer game.

    The question of whether to pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War on the PC is situational, despite it being a solid title. If you're the type of player who likes the campaigns that each entry brings forth, then you'll be fine with Cold War. The branching paths of the short campaign give it some replayability beyond simply increasing the difficulty. Fans of Zombies mode will also be fine, even though it suffers from having only one map (for now) and a PlayStation-exclusive mode that'll be unavailable on the PC for a year. Multiplayer fans are in more of a pickle. If you're tired of the maps in the prominently featured Modern Warfare but want traditional modes, then this is perfect, especially since the cross-play feature is going strong and there are people on both the last- and next-generation platforms ensuring the game gets a healthy shelf life. If you're primarily a Warzone player, you aren't going to bother with this one, since that free-to-play game is getting Cold War elements soon to keep it fresh.
