It's not portal, but to be fair who actually expected this bridge constructor game to be portal?
Anyway i still enjoyed it pretty much.
You get to play 60 levels, creating bridges and using portals to find solution to the puzzle. Graphics looks same as in Portal ( i mean trailers with stickmans and The Lab) Gameplay is okay, but i just hate idea of these cannons shooting plasma balls.

Gameplay is okay, but i just hate idea of these cannons shooting plasma balls.
Trying to aim them is just so random and frustrating.
Another problem with BC:Portal is uneven level of difficulty. In some levels you immediately
see the solution, and in some levels you can spend half an hour trying to solve the puzzle.
I have no problems with difficult puzzles, but its just so uneven. 20 level might be harder then 50.
But even with this problems, game has great humor and creative puzzles. Its really nice to play, but the game does not engage like a portal and portal 2.

Okay, so, a new game in the Portal universe. I'm glad that we got this rather than nothing. As we know that Portal 3 doesn't need to and will never be released or developed. It's visuals are nice, Ellen Mclain's voice is great, and the way the puzzles slowly pack on the difficulty is great. However, the soundtrack is quite poor, which is sad because the Portal games have had some great tracks over the years. The only interesting track is the main menu one. Also, the plot may not be intended to be taken seriously, but I will still say that the plot of this game kinda feels like a disorganized mess, when this could've very easily been avoided. That's what annoys me. So, you have humans running the place, but GLaDOS is too? Just doesn't add up, and it could've easily been avoided too. Also, the way the game melds the portals, turrets, and faith plates into the game is very solid, and the game does feel like a classic Portal puzzle experience at it's core. Overall, Bridge Constructor: Portal is a decent game that I would recommend to Bridge Constructor fans, Portal fans, and simply puzzle game fans. I wouldn't buy this for more than 10$. Expand

I love this game! It has so many solutions to completing the levels that you are never bored. Every time you come up with an idea how to safely transport your convoy without using the given portals or other mechanisms (generally do it differently from what the game authors had in mind) you feel quite smart and smug ;)

I had a great time playing it and after 23 hours it never got a tad tiresome. For a mere $10 you get a lot of bang for buck. The only lackluster part of the game was its music. After less than half of the game I turned off the in-game music and switched to my own playlists. Also I wouldn't mind more GLaDOS comments. Every other aspect of the game was pure gold and I can only hope we'll get a sequel to this terrific game. I'm also waiting for Portal 3 though I'm almost certain that Valve does not know hot to count to three. Sadness :/

The bad upfront: For some reason, no leaderboards, even though the game clearly tracks stats. It's relatively easy (I felt that only maybe 2-3 out of those 60 levels were a true challenge) and even though the UI was improved a LOT over the original Bridge Constructor, it still sucks. It's relatively easy (I felt that only maybe 2-3 out of those 60 levels were a true challenge) and even though the UI was improved a LOT over the original Bridge Constructor, it still sucks. You can't simply select, move and delete things like you would expect based on any other application that you control with a mouse (be it real time strategy games, graphics applications, etc.). When you jump to specific levels from the main menu, there is no preview of the level layout. And for some reason, achievements don't unlock immediately but when you return to the main menu. So... it seems fairly unpolished. One would think that with all their development experience, they would know better by now...

Now for the good: The visual style is pretty good and it performs well (even on my low-powered Intel HD Graphics, it ran at relatively smooth 20-60 FPS in full HD - depending on how complex the bridge constructions are and whatnot). Music is very good, even though not varied enough. And even though the game is relatively easy, it still takes a bit of time and tinkering to figure out stuff sometimes and that makes it really fun. As well as the occasional humor - maybe not the best writing we've read/heard in the Portal universe but I still found it amusing. I for one was basically not able to put it down for days and did finish it after about three (24 hours for all achievements).

A very fun construction puzzle game along the lines of World of Goo, but firmly set in the Portal universe, and neatly making use of most of the key Portal mechanics (portals, pressure plates, love cubes, energy balls). The design of the game is really great, feeling like a true Portal experience rather than a cheap mock-up, and the physics seem quite polished. But the most pleasing aspect for me was level design, with sufficient freedom to allow for creative solutions beyond the intention of the designers, and with a really satisfying difficulty curve, from the most basic levels introducing the various mechanics, to really complex levels that take quite a bit of brainstorming and tinkering to solve. A testament to the decent difficulty is that only about 5% of the players on Steam completed all the levels in convoy mode! There was also a sufficient number of levels (60 + 30 in the DLC) to make me feel sated with the game, but not enough for it to become tedious. The main drawbacks for my were the very repetitive music and the limited interface (no leaderboards, statistics, etc). Expand

A wonderful puzzle game for Portal fans. The levels are extremely innovative and it is a great buy for such a small price.

Неплохая игра во вселенной портала, но это не тот самый портал 3, которого все ждут. Это обычная пазл игра с таким себе геймплеем на любителя и без сюжета.

Bridge Constructor Portal is a fantastic puzzle game, and a thoroughly Portal title.

Bridge Constructor Portal is no Portal, and no one expected it to be, but it's close when you consider the general enjoyment that can be had while playing it. GLaDOS is an extremely welcome resurgence, and it was oddly a pleasure to find myself under her thumb in the Aperture Science world once more.

Good news: new Portal game! Bad news: it’s just a marriage between Portal and Bridge Constructor. Good news: it’s a happy marriage. Building bridges with GLaDOS might not be as atmospheric and witty as big Portal games, but it sure is fun and it’s definitely not the case of cynical preying on a beloved franchise. [02/2018, p.48]
