    I don't think any game I have ever played lived up to its name more than this simple little indie game did. Brainmelter Deluxe is a challenging platformer that keeps the player coming back for more. Hours on end can be sunk into this game and half of that time can easily be spent in just the first level if you don't get the rhythm down. The perfect blend of Luck, Skill, and PermadeathI don't think any game I have ever played lived up to its name more than this simple little indie game did. Brainmelter Deluxe is a challenging platformer that keeps the player coming back for more. Hours on end can be sunk into this game and half of that time can easily be spent in just the first level if you don't get the rhythm down. The perfect blend of Luck, Skill, and Permadeath makes this game well deserving of the title 'Brain Melter.'

    The game itself plays fantastically with intuitive controls both on a controller and on keyboard and mouse. The ease of which a player can get into a rhythm really lends itself to this simple indie masterpiece.

    Even if you are struggling to get past just the first stage the sound and art design of this game both are factors that make the player just keep coming back, the upbeat music and.... more graphical sounds on death blend perfectly with the simple 2d graphical style. Both of these factors greatly lend themselves towards the ambiance that the developer perfectly attained in this death run platformer.

    Although there isn't a ton of story involved in this simple indie game, the procedural level gen and the need to reach the end of this game, if only to say that you could, both greatly increase the overall replay value of this game. As has already been said many times this is a game that will keep you coming back for more.

    All in all this game was simply..... fun there is no better word to describe it. It is a simple 2d platformer that blends luck and quick thinking brilliantly into one brain melting package. I couldn't recommend it more.    … Expand
