I've played the Steam version for a short time, but I've played the Itch version for over 20 hours and will review it.
Bobo The Cat is a Metroidvania style piece featuring a cute little cat.
There are a lot of stages, starting with a forest, then you can reach natural areas such as mountains and the sea, then the atmosphere changes and you can reach mysterious and eerie areas (I can't go into details because it would be a spoiler!). The first is the ineffectual Bobo, who is not very good at all at first.
Bobo is ineffective at first, but as you play, he gains amazing actions and can run around the field in all directions.
There are various puzzles on the map that have nothing to do with clearing the map itself, and some of them require a lot of thinking to solve, and it can be tough to solve them all.
I am the kind of person who doesn't care much about puzzles that have nothing to do with clearing the map, but Bobo The Cat's puzzles make me so happy when I solve them that I end up solving all the puzzles I didn't solve at first, in order to clear 100% of them!
It's a great adventure for a cat!
