A challenging, turn-based strategy with a roguelike edge. Lead a team of adventurers to destroy the Blightstone and free the world from corruption. Use free movement, dynamic environments and collectable skills to save the crystal, and save the world.

Here in the world of the Blightstone you’ll find deep strategy, blended seamlessly with roguelike progression. Your mission? To protect the Earthglass Crystal, and deliver it to the Infernal Rift. Only by doing this will you be able to destroy the demon overlord Korghul, and shatter the Blightstone itself.

Die, die, and die again. Cunning and keen wit (though looking at our options even a solitary spark of wit will have to suffice) are key to saving this realm.

Use the environment to your advantage with objects, enemies and even the weather itself providing strategic opportunities and challenges. Each failure provides invaluable opportunity to learn and collect new skills to help your next adventure.

Blightstone brings a charming roguelike strategy game to the forefront of early access, an easy recommendation to fans of the genre. [Early Access Score = 80]

Blightstone from developer Unfinished Pixel is a decent, if not good, roguelite tactical turn-based game. It has a solid gameplay skeleton that follows the genre’s perceived structure, while needing some love and care to improve some lacking gameplay elements. [Early Access Provisional Score = 70]
  3. Jan 20, 2026
Blightstone has a solid, strong foundation in terms of its combat and battle mechanics. The use of environmental hazards and interactive battle arenas is what helps the game stand out. The rest of the game feels like something of a slog, however, with some harsh RNG and an inconsistent pace that makes Blightstone feel like it can't get out of the blocks. There's something fun hidden here, but it is sadly overshadowed by a game that feels more interested in punishing you for simple things than allowing you to learn. [Early Access Score = 60]

In its current Early Access state, Blightstone is a promising roguelike with room for improvement. Subjectively, some of the character class identities feel odd, and the game’s progression feels kind of underwhelming and not as rewarding as it probably should be. Less subjectively, the Early Access build of the game clearly lacks in content, which is promised to be delivered later. Some players may find it worthwhile to wait for a patch or two before checking this game out, if not flat-out waiting for the 1.0 release. [Early Access Review]
