Bleeding Edge is an adrenaline soaked game. Chaotic gameplay and very uneven matchmaking is making it hard to enjoy for beginners and its weird design is hard to swallow for older player. But it still has its charm. [Issue#305]

Will the initial spark of interest last? Hardly. Bleeding Edge is a nice little time-killer that probably will never evolve into something bigger. But if it helps Ninja Theory earn some money for their next project – it’s cool. [Issue#245, p.60]

The industry forgot to call and tell the authors that they are way behind what’s fashionable. There might be a good game hidden somewhere inside but, unfortunately, no one cares. Which, for a competitive multiplayer game, is a death sentence.

Bleeding Edge brings refreshments to the hero-shooter genre, with complex gameplay, variability in play-styles and crazy characters. Unfortunately, the content offered here is not much, and Ninja Theory should work on this aspect in the future.

The gameplay is solid, and I enjoyed my time with the title. It just needs more of ... everything: characters, game modes, maps, and skins. Microsoft and/or Ninja Theory certainly seem to be aware of this shortcoming, if the game's price tag is any indication. That doesn't change the fact that the game desperately needs more content if it wants to keep its audience; otherwise, Bleeding Edge's matches might not be so bloody in the very near future.

Principally entertaining, yet unbalanced and in the long run monotonous team action.

Bleeding Edge has some really good ideas, but not enough content or progression to back them up. It's a solid pick for a few game nights with your pals if you all have Game Pass, but it still needs some time to develop into a true competitor.

Bleeding Edge is not what you would normally expect from Ninja Theory, and it's hard to imagine why they would choose to work on this title instead of focusing on their other, more important, IPs.

Bleeding Edge is an interesting combination of features taken from Overwatch, MOBAs and character action games, featuring a solid character roster, a good map selection and two modes that feel varied enough. The limited amount of content and the lack of a ranked mode, however, make it difficult to recommend the game as a stand-alone purchase as of now. As an Xbox Game Pass game, though, Bleeding Edge works much better, as players can keep playing while waiting for new content to drop without having to purchase the game right away.

Bleeding Edge’s many interesting ideas and fantastic characters are overpowered by a frustrating combo-laden gameplay loop.

While Bleeding Edge isn't a turning point in the hero shooter genre, it's a little, fun experiment that'll definitely please those seeking for something new to chew. Its understanding of game modes and maps is worth noting, but it could use some polish control-wise.

Bleeding Edge's characters are cool, but the combat is too shallow to hold attention for long.

Bleeding Edge is a good hero brawler with a stunning character design and a unique action style system. Unfortunately, the lack of content and an unclear road map are two marks of a predictable falling down.

As of right now, Bleeding Edge has some positive qualities, but it's certainly not on the bleeding edge of the multiplayer scene.

This results in jousts which are pleasant at first but which lose their panache far too quickly due to a lack of depth. Jousts that its skinny roster will unfortunately have a hard time boosting.

If Bleeding Edge can hold up and the developers regularly deliver game content, it could be a varied, good game. Until then, there is still a lot to do.

Bleeding Edge is a decent multiplayer action game lacking enough content to keep the players engaged in the long term.

Lackluster cosmetics are the least of Bleeding Edge’s problems. Ninja Theory may have succeeded in creating a cast of distinct, well-crafted characters that are full of personality, but it stumbled in making an engrossing game around that diverse roster. Fluid and easy-to-grasp abilities don’t hit their full potential because Bleeding Edge isn’t refined enough at its launch to guide players into the solid game that’s possibly hidden somewhere within its depths. The irony of its title is unfortunate, given how it is aspires to be new take on online multiplayer but is behind the curve because of its unfocused design.

Bleeding Edge could be on to something with meaningful updates, but at launch it's Xbox Game Pass filler at best.

Even with a couple of blemishes present, I still had an absolute ball with the Bleeding Edge beta when I was able to go on the offensive. Sure, the lack of a role queue is a massive oversight, and I didn't much enjoy the ranged combat, but I'm excited to clash swords with more of the cast and uncover all their mechanical intricacies in the second beta session that begins on March 13. 3. The basic act of hitting something doesn’t feel quite right, even when you’re whacking someone with your massive motorcycle hands. There’s this feeling of disconnection, some of it coming from the way your enemy can blink away at speed, and some of it, probably, from lag. A recent patch claimed to address that, but it doesn’t seem to have done much good. Hopefully that will be ironed out further down the line. But even if it is, I’d steer clear of Bleeding Edge. The characters may be inventive, but everything else is bleeding out on the floor.

probably all these things will get fixed, only if the game will not be dead by that time.
