    Bioshock was an outstanding game, one of the best I've ever played, easily in the top 20. Loved every twist and turn of the story, the combat was fun, the world creepy as hell. Would you kindly agree with me that this game deserves all the praise it gets.

    Bioshock is an absolute must play first person shooter game. The setting is incredibly interesting and unique making traveling through Rapture feel fun and engaging. In addition to gunplay, you also have "powers" through plasmids that add variety to combat. The story is interesting and fairly unique. Highly recommend this game!

    It has not exceeded my expectations, I played bioshock infinite many years ago, I completed it and enjoyed it a lot, but I had never played bioshock 1 and 2, and I really don't know if I'm late, or what happened, but I feel that the story is good, but it gets tiresome that they have you from one place to another all the time, the environment and the city of Rapture are incredible, and theIt has not exceeded my expectations, I played bioshock infinite many years ago, I completed it and enjoyed it a lot, but I had never played bioshock 1 and 2, and I really don't know if I'm late, or what happened, but I feel that the story is good, but it gets tiresome that they have you from one place to another all the time, the environment and the city of Rapture are incredible, and the theme of powers is incredible too, but that's all, it has left me wanting something more, hopefully It would have been better, I hope 2 is better.… Expand

Mechanika walki jest dość przeciętna, lecz patrząc na to, że gra ma swoje lata, nie jest to wielką bolączką. Natomiast bądźmy szczerzy, w Bioshock walka odgrywa rolę drugoplanową, ponieważ najważniejsza jest tutaj fabuła, która maObłędna historia.     I firstly played this game on the ps3, i had buy it for a short period and i haven't finished it any ways, i then sold the ps3 cause of some financial problem and the only way was to buy it on my pc, I finally finished this masterpiece and i was amazed by the story telling, the world was amazing the same as the enemies. Great game and a must play one for sure

The sound is eerie and really sets the tone for this dark and gritty world you're set in. Rapture is full of secrets to uncover and fun enemies to fight. Seemingly dropped off into a beautiful underwaterI thought that BioShock would've been another generic shooter, but boy was I wrong.     Визуал превосходный у игры, для своего времени. Геймплей интересный, но боевке не хватает комбинаций плазмидов. Сама история мира прикольная, очень интересно собирать записи и строить цепочку событий.

    Bioshock is such a perfect game its open world you can explore anywhere, you know that locked door on Call Of Duty Black ops: Cold War? Don't fret! Bioshock wont lock it and it will be assessable, the gunplay is amazing perfect difficulty and enemies. However the camera system is a little broken you can just use it in mid combat, 10/10

    Not perfect, but it comes so close to it that it´s both incledible and kind of infuriating. It´s an unforgettable experience, bold in a way that most games, couldn´t even dream of being. Amazing villain, the best intro and plot twist in gaming in my opinion, incredible setting. Yes, the ludonarrative is dissonant, hacking is bad and so is the twist villain, but still, amazing.

    One of my favorite fps game. I'm finished for the 3rd time. I get the same fun every time. The atmosphere and music are very good. The story and the way it is told is amazing. The characters are very well written and voiced. A very revolutionary game for its year. The graphics are also nice. Combat is so much fun. As a bad part, I can say that only hitbox is a bit problematic. I couldn'tOne of my favorite fps game. I'm finished for the 3rd time. I get the same fun every time.     An undeniable masterpiece. The world, the story, the gameplay balance, the soundtrack, the acting, all of it is superb. Despite some parts being dated to 2007, it is a wonderful experience that everyone should try at least once.

    BioShock came as a total surprise to me when I first played in on my PlayStation 3. Its story, atmosphere and mechanics immediately got my attention. It is a totally different game from other shooters where te goal is surviving instead of killing every living thing in sight.     BioShock came as a total surprise to me when I first played in on my PlayStation 3. Its story, atmosphere and mechanics immediately got my attention.

    It is a totally different game from other shooters where te goal is surviving instead of killing every living thing in sight. You need to be tactful, careful, resourceful and must use your surroundings to survive. Every decision you make, story wise or how you want to play the game has a huge impact on your progression.

    This is a game you play for the story. It has the strongest story and plot I have ever experienced in a game. It is simply perfect. For this reason, I enjoyed every minute of the game to see what happened next. The developers put their hearts into this game and wanted to let you know what is happening in and around Rapture. I am not going to spoil it tough; this is something you need to experience for yourself.

    BioShock still has impressive graphics and animations and the design of each level is a masterpiece in my opinion. Also, the ambient sound, speech and weapon sounds are really well done. It adds greatly to the experience. A shot from your revolver with surround sound on, sounds like a real bullet flying trough your window.

    There are no complaints from my end for this game. Sure, on higher difficulties the game can be brutal and unforgiving but strangely this is the only game where I see this as a challenge, rather then an unfair fight or cheap death. The best example I have, is taking down a Rosie without any upgrades or Tonics on Survivor difficulty by letting him walk up and down on a platform.

    The DLC challenges are lots of fun. They empower the things I said at the beginning of the review where you need to think, use your resources well and figure out the right way to progress further.

    Like I said before, BioShock is and will always be the best game I ever played to this day. No other game today has given me the feeling of ultimate satisfaction, adrenaline, focus and joy like this game does.

Но, естественно, все идет наперекосяк, утопия превращается в антиутопию, и две группировки "лучших умов" передрались между собой. В коридорах царит запустение, обитатели частично сошли с ума от нового наркотика, который изменяет ДНК человека, превращая его почти в волшебника (телекинез, пирокинез и т.д.), но вызывающего сильное привыкание. Мрачная атмосфера закрытых коридоров подводного города авторам удалась. Все локации сделаны по-разному, с вниманием к деталям и сюжету. Плазмиды, то бишь типа магия, не слишком реалистично вписываются в игру, зато добавляют много возможностей уничтожения врагов. Можно бить молнией, огнем, гипнотизировать, кидаться тяжелыми предметами, либо по -старинке расстреливать). Лично для меня сюжет не очень выдерживает критику, но интересных персонажей хватает. Поиграть определенно стоит, учитывая что у игр этой серии уже собралась армия фанатов. Кто знает, может вы станете одним из них?… Expand

    Replayed this game recently. Incredibly well-done, still an honest classic. PC port is somewhat jank however, and you NEED NEED!!! to sort out the mouse sensitivity and acceleration in the settings.

    A masterpiece. The controls are a bit dated and unintuitive but i think combat is rather secondary in this lore rich world. It really reminds me of dark messiah of might and magic.

    I went back and replayed the saga again. BS1 is definitely the best one of the series. Compelling story and characters, with awesome back stories that completely submerge you (literally, duh) in the city of Rapture. The unique style and ambiance holds perfectly, even for today standards: The introductory glance of the city just after the crash... beautiful.

    Excellent atmosphere and world. Allows different playstyles to take on enemies. Some quests in the game are boring and tedious. Story is excellent (often overshadowed by its excellent twist). Gunplay is great. Locations different and well constructed.

The game was supposed to end with Ryan's death and with our character discovering the truth that was told to us by Fontaine and in Bioshock 2 it started from there. For a 2007 game, it's an amazing game, with very good and charismatic characters and an amazing voice acting! The story is also amazing, with an excellent plot twist. The world is also amazing, an amazing level design that captivates us to explore.… Expand

    This game is experience to say the least. The theming in my opinion is definitely the best part with the beautiful, eerie suspenseful song track to hearing the splicers just talk to themselves. Just look up the "Bioshock Moments: Jesus Loves" video on YouTube and you can just feel the thick atmosphere creeping up on you. I sometimes will just hum it or sing the gatherer's garden song.     This is one of the most atmospheric games I've ever played. Very cool setting.

    The underwater city with psychos with superpowers, big daddies and little sisters, the entourage of the 60s of the last century. Great storyline and great gameplay.

    I'm writing a review and I don't know what are the disadvantages of this game.

    The world-building is phenomenal. Right off the bat were introduced to Rapture and grasp a basic idea of the world around us. But, still we ask questions, and those questions push us to beat the game; to find out the true mystery and origins of Rapture.

    Cutscenes do not take up a big portion of the game. We play through entire sections without cutscenes, and it still tells its story wonderfully without a break from the addicting nature of the gameplay.

    The remastered definitely improves upon the original with modern visuals and graphics, and better optimization.

    While playing the game, the gameplay and storytelling wouldn't let me close the application. I literally have to force myself to hop off my PC. If it weren't for that, then I'd probably sit there and play it all day.

    The mechanics such as plasmids, tonics, and upgrades really innovated the FPS genre to a whole new degree upon its release. Its influence on the industry, really shows how much of a masterpiece it is..

    ..Not to say, there isn't flaws. But, dammit, the storytelling and gameplay make up for it!    … Expand

    The hours spent playing this masterpiece were the perfect encapsulation of why videogaming is such a favourite waste of time for so many of us. Thrilling, terrifying, moving, confusing, amusing, compelling, and very very dark. BioShock isn't simply the sign of gaming realising its true cinematic potential, but one where a game straddles so many entertainment art forms so expertly that it's the best demonstration yet how flexible this medium can be. It's no longer just another shooter wrapped up in a pretty game engine, but a story that exists and unfolds inside the most convincing and elaborate and artistic game world ever conceived.
