    Everytime I play BioShock 2, I like it more. Is definitely not as good as the first game, but still one the best FPS I've ever played.

    Overall a very good game. While there were obvious improvement to the gunplay as compared to the original Bioshock, the story is much less engaging. The DLC is great and I still recommend those who liked Bioshock to play the sequel.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I only just played Bioshock 2 for the first time as part of the Remastered Collection on PS4 and I have to say I really enjoyed it! I think it was an improvement on the first game on pretty much every way, from the characters to upgraded game mechanics, new exciting enemies and the much improved hacking! For me the story of Delta is a lot more interesting and hits a lot harder than it did for Jack, for one the whole idea of your choices influencing the kind of person (or monster) Eleanor will become resonates a lot more with me than Jack’s mind control. Also in Jack’s happy ending he got to live a full life with his adopted family whereas Delta was doomed regardless of what you do making it all the more poignant. Bioshock has always been great at making you feel for it’s tragic monsters even if you are forced to gun them down, I always feel terrible when I have to kill a Big Daddy to rescue a Little Sister or when I see a forlorn Big Daddy wandering around looking for his Little Sister once I have rescued them all. Bioshock 2 is even better at this, with the grief-stricken Alpha Series on a suicidal rampage to Sinclair and Gil who beg you for death and even the Big Sisters, they may be the most dangerous thing in Rapture and very much trying to kill you but they are just scared teenage girls who have gone mad from their brainwashing failing. Anyway this is all round a great sequel to the original one and I can’t wait to see what happens in Infinite.… Expand

    Wspaniała kontynuacja, w której otrzymujemy lekką odmianę względem pierwszej odsłony. Styl rozgrywki tym razem trochę inny, ponieważ mamy możliwość sterowania obrońcą siostrzyczek. Gra prócz tego zrobiła to, co jej poprzednik. Wciąż możemy doświadczać tej przepięknej aury wydobywającej się z podwodnego miasta, w którym towarzyszą nam tajemnicze głosy z radia a historia została pociągniętaWspaniała kontynuacja, w której otrzymujemy lekką odmianę względem pierwszej odsłony.     Me julguem, mas da serie esse é o meu jogo preferido. Possui uma historia que envolve tanto quanto o primeiro e traz novamente a Rapture só que dessa vez mais maravilhosa, faz algumas mudanças em sua gameplay umas que me agradam muito outras que nem tanto, o que me faz gostar tanto desse jogo é sua narrativa onde dessa vez temos um protagonista que é mais fácil de entender e simpatizar comMe julguem, mas da serie esse é o meu jogo preferido. Possui uma historia que envolve tanto quanto o primeiro e traz novamente a Rapture só que dessa vez mais maravilhosa, faz algumas mudanças em sua gameplay umas que me agradam muito outras que nem tanto, o que me faz gostar tanto desse jogo é sua narrativa onde dessa vez temos um protagonista que é mais fácil de entender e simpatizar com suas motivações é uma historia que tem um ritmo melhor que do primeiro e continua tendo a mesma qualidade.     Excelente jogo literalmente igual ao primeiro com um jeito ainda melhor, conseguiram manter a mesma essência do primeiro, com uma forma um pouco mais diferente de jogar, podem comprar e jogar esse game mesmo nos dias de hoje que vale a pena.

    A worthy sequel to the original. Despite the higher focus on the action than horror, it still keeps the world and acting that you'd come to expect with a Bioshock sequel.

    The first BioShock was, and still is, the best game I played in my life and BioShock 2 is in every way an amazing sequel that follows the story from the first game very well. Everywhere are pieces of the story that fits perfectly with the whole series. History from the first game, the founding of Rapture and the many mad scientist experiments that happened there.

    You play as a Big Daddy this time, so the perspective is completely different. You feel like a Bouncer Big Daddy right away from the start of the game. It is a really great idea.

    The graphics and gameplay in BioShock 2 have been greatly improved. It has the same atmosphere and feeling like the first game but looks way nicer. The mechanics, like dual wielding plasmids and guns is also a big plus. The sound is also improved, when you shoot the living sh!t out of a splicer, you hear your bullets impact in their twisted body’s.

    The new weapons and enemies in the game are very well balanced and add new strategies you can use to defend yourself against enemies, like the hack tool turrets for example.

    The game has the same moral decisions from the first game. How you treat people in this game determines your ending. I, of course, am a good guy so I saved everything and everyone.

    There were some minor irritations like the hacked security bots that constantly blocks your movement in small spaces and the same goes for Eleanor when you rescued her. Also, the constant “father, father I love you father, we will be together father, oh father” got really on my nerves sometimes but despite this the game was good, incredibly good.

    I had some technical issues in the beginning where the difficulty kept resetting itself but thanks to a tip from a Steam community member if fixed this.

    The DLC is fun to play and rewards you with special items.

    The strong story is the best part of this game and because of it, along with the improved mechanics and pace, I enjoyed every minute of it.

    The original game from 2010 still has the multiplayer function and it is, surprisingly, still active and has a whole community behind it that plays. With this people it is lot of fun to do.

    I definitely recommend BioShock 2, Remastered or original.    … Expand

    My favorite Bioshock game. Gameplay is made much more fun in this game. The DLC is one of it not the most well done DLC of all time.

    A game that's only worth playing for the environment (level design) and gameplay (the same as bioshock 1, so even that doesn't have any merit), where the story is nothing special and a little boring. A downgrade from Bioshock 1, but I'm excited to play Bioshock Infinite.

    This title is quite similar to its predecessor, even the plasma skills and enemy soldiers are identical. The story seems to be a little bit less immersive and intriguing. Nevertheless, the game is still wonderful and I really enjoyed it.

    Gran segunda parte, el cambio de ahora ser un Big Daddy resulta refrescante en la historia, la música como era de esperar de la franquicia excelente, la jugabilidad un tanto repetitiva tanto como parecer un DLC del primer juego lo cual no es algo malo, historia diferente a la primera entrega pero igual de buena, sin duda un must to play.

    Стрельба по сравнению с первой частью стала намного лучше, как и графика, но добавились моменты растягивающие игру, по типу сбора адама сестричками. Этого можно и не делать, но тогда прокачка ячеек для плазмидов и самих плазмидов осложняется. Долго пытался найти биндинг оружия и плазмидов, а оказалось что это все в настройках, очень неудобно да и при прокачке плазмида все они сразуСтрельба по сравнению с первой частью стала намного лучше, как и графика, но добавились моменты растягивающие игру, по типу сбора адама сестричками. Этого можно и не делать, но тогда прокачка ячеек для плазмидов и самих плазмидов осложняется. Долго пытался найти биндинг оружия и плазмидов, а оказалось что это все в настройках, очень неудобно да и при прокачке плазмида все они сразу путаются и приходится назначать по новой.
    ps Прокачанный заклепщик является лучшим оружием по моему мнению ( разве что он не берет больших папочек ) попадание в голову по исследованному противнику наносит огромный урон. Арбалет тоже вещь классная, но появляется он ой как не скоро, да и скорость перезарядки оставляет желать лучшего

    1편과 인피니트의 사시에 낀 비운의 작품이지만 1편에서 애매했던 시스템을 확실히 계승해서 발전시킨 작품이다. 세계관의 확장도 성공적으로 꾀했다는 점도 높게친다.

Is Bioshock 2 worse than Bioshock 1? No, not in a single aspect, quite the opposite - in terms of gameplay it is definitely superior (Bioshock 2 probably has the best gameplay I have ever seen in my life - it really feels as though you could play the game for days and never get bored. Every encounter with an enemy turns into a mini-war with its own tactics and strategy which depends on the type of the enemy, their number, surroundings, your health and eve conditions, your plasmids and your ammo. This game pretends to be a first-person shooter when in reality it is a first-person strategy.) and the final sequence is much stronger than the original's one (Usually I like how videogames end but I am not sure I have ever seen a PERFECT ending...until I finished Bioshock 2. Of course your ending might differ from mine but since I choose to harvest all Little Sisters I got probably the "darkest" one and believe me that ending IS exactly what it should be - it left me literally speechless not because it was epic or something but because it was so logical, so suitable, so on point). Is Bioshock 2 as revolutionary as Bioshock was in 2007? Of course not and it doesn't have to - a game doesn't have to be revolutionary to be a great game, right? Bioshock 2 is still the same good old Bioshock from 2007 but just with different story and improved game mechanichs and that's, in my opinion, should be enough to be regarded as one of the best games of the past decade but for some reason Bioshock 2 rarely pops up as a top contender for that nomination all thanks to the fact Bioshock 1 has all the attention.… Expand

Only thing that stood out to me - it felt like a self insert fan fiction. The story had added new characters in a timeline already established. Some people say you should skip this one and go to Infinite right away. There are wrong, Bioshock 2's level design and story is still genius, it's not going to offer you anything spicy or new but the experience is certainly worth it.     Bioshock 2 felt more like a DLC, rather than a sequel. It is a very solid first-person shooter experience but it does nothing new. Bioshock 2 is the odd child and while it is still a worthy experience, it's the one that you can forget about immediately after you finish the game.

    В этой части как мне кажется сюжет стал лучше иногда даже переживаешь за главного героя и его дочь. Стало ещё больше способов убивать врагов, стало раза в 2 больше плазмидов и появились боевые тоники. Некоторые виды оружия заменили на новые но функция у них одна, у каждого вида оружия по 3 вида боеприпасов.В этой части как мне кажется сюжет стал лучше иногда даже переживаешь за главного героя и его дочь. Стало ещё больше способов убивать врагов, стало раза в 2 больше плазмидов и появились боевые тоники. Serinin ilk oyunu da çok güzeldi -zaten ikisinin hikayeleri bağlantılı- ancak bu oyun kesinlikle çıtayı arşa çıkarmış. Hikaye ile başlayalım, oyun ilk oyunun 2 sene öncesinde, yani 1958'de başlıyor. Oyunda Eleanor Lamb isimli Küçük Kız Kardeş'in Koca Baba'sı olan, ismini bilmediğimiz kod adı "Denek Delta" olan birini oynuyoruz. Yani kontrol ettiğimiz karakter bir Koca Baba. Eleanor Lamb'in annesi, psikiyatrist Sofia Lamb'in Eleanor'u bizden alıp zihin kontrolü plazmitini kullanarak elimize bir silah veriyor ve intihar etmemizi emrediyor. Kaskımızı çıkarıp silahı kafamıza doğrultuyoruz ve tetiği çekiyoruz, her şey buradan sonra başlıyor. 10 yıl sonra ilginç bir şekilde Rapture'un dibinde uyanıyoruz, kurşundan sonra ölmediğimiz anlaşılıyor. Büyük Kız Kardeşler, yanlarında bir Koca Baba'ya ihtiyaç duymuyorlar çünkü fazlası ile güçlüler, oyunda yenmesi en zor düşmanların da Büyük Kız Kardeş'ler olduğunu belirteyim. Ardından Koca Baba'ları ve Küçük Kız Kardeş'leri ortadan kaldırmaya çalıştığı için çaresiz bir durumda kalan, ilk oyundan hatırladığımız Tenenbaum ile karşılaşıyoruz ve kendisine Küçük Kız Kardeşler'ini kurtarması konusunda yardım ediyoruz. Buradan sonra oyun Elanor'un izini sürüp bulmaya çalışmamız ile geçiyor, aynı zamanda Andrew Ryan'da aralarında bulunmak üzere ilk oyundan hatırladığımız bazı karakterlerin de ses kayıtları ile zaman zaman karşılaşabiliyoruz. Oyunun sonlarına doğru ise Elaenor'u buluyoruz ve Elaenor da bir Büyük Kız Kardeş olup Rapture'dan kurtulmak için bizimle birlikte savaşıyor. Oyunun sonunda ne olacağı ve Sofia Lamb'in akıbeti oyun boyunca verdiğiniz kararlara göre şekilleniyor ve oyun o şekilde son buluyor. BioShock 2'nin çok güzel işlenmiş ve heyecanı oyuncuya hissettirebilen bir hikayesi var. Ben hikayeyi çok beğendim. Oynanış olarak fizik motoru ilk oyundakinin aynısı, ancak geliştirmeler yapılmış. Yani anlayacağınız fizikler ilk oyunun biraz üstünde, ortalama sayılır. Oyundaki savaşlar çok hızlı ve heyecanlı olduğu için "canlandırma tüpü" olayı hariç hiç sıkmıyor ve oyun kendini oynatıyor. Yakın dövüş ve plazmitler bu oyunda ilk oyuna göre oldukça geliştirilmiş ve hem yakın dövüş hem de plazmit kullanımı ilk oyuna göre çok daha rahat ve keyifli. Hack olayı da kolaylaştırılmış ve makineleri uzaktan hackleyebilmemize yarayan bir silah oyuna eklenmiş, bunlar da çok yararlı geliştirmeler olmuş. İlk oyundaki zor ve zaman kaybettiren hack sisteminin kaldırılması yerinde bir geliştirme. Ateşli silah kullanımı ilk oyunla neredeyse aynı, yani vuruş hissi vasat bu silahlarda. Ancak pompalı tüfekteki vuruş hissiyatı diğer silahlara göre daha tatmin edici bir hisse sahip, onu da söyleyeyim. Atmosfere gelirsek, BioShock 2'nin Rapture'u benim bugüne kadar gördüğüm en iyi oyun şehri olabilir. Atmosfer tek kelime ile inanılmaz, oyunu sadece manzaralara bakmak için oynayabilirsiniz. Çünkü bana kalırsa bu oyunun atmosferine uygun değil, onun yerine hızlı kayıt alıp öldüğümüz zaman en son kayıttan başlamalıydık. Oyunu oynadığım süre boyunca sanırım sadece bir tane hata ile karşılaştım, o da çok küçük bir hataydı göze batmadı. İlk oyunda daha fazla hata ile karşılaşmıştım, bu oyunda hataların önüne geçilmesi beni mutlu etti. Sona gelelim, BioShock 2 muazzam atmosferiyle, iyi yazılmış karakterleriyle, oyuncuyu içine çeken harika hikayesiyle, eğlenceli, hızlı ve aynı zamanda akıcı oynanışı ile Aksiyon-Birinci Şahıs Nişancı türünün en iyi oyunlarından biri, hatta belki de en iyisi.… Expand

    This was a good sequel to Bioshock. Experiencing Rapture through the shoes of a Big Daddy is interesting. Cool thing is you get to wield a big ass drill. You can launch yourself around and deflect projectiles, giving the game a completely different approach if you didn't want to use guns. There is a much larger variety of enemies in    Experience the life Big Daddys and Little Sisters.

    This was a good sequel to Bioshock. Experiencing Rapture through the shoes of a Big Daddy is interesting. Cool thing is you get to wield a big ass drill. You can launch yourself around and deflect projectiles, giving the game a completely different approach if you didn't want to use guns. There is a much larger variety of enemies in Bioshock 2. The game challenges your use of plasmids and weapons more so than it's predecessor. I love how the game grouped the gene pools together, such that it's less cluttered when managing. Though I wish there were plasmid previews before purchasing, cause I never know what some plasmid upgrades actually do. The explanation is not that good. I still wish there was an easier way to manage your weapon and plasmid shortcuts though. You get so many along the way, that you can easily get mixed up during an intense battle. There were times where I just settled with a less optimal weapon because cycling through to the right one would take too much time, and I'd take too much damage. Though with multiple play throughs, I can imagine speed running through Bioshock 2 would be quite fun.

    The narrative is one of the strong points of the game as usual. There are plenty of dialogue that enriches the story as you progress. Plenty of characters have various agendas, and don't always align with the ideologies of Sofia Lamb. This draws into question of their real intentions. I was questioning my ally for a majority of the game, assuming he had ill intentions. But in the end, he proved to be a good guy, who sacrificed himself. I enjoyed the ending as well. It nicely reflects the moral choices you've made on your journey.    … Expand

    Bioshock 2 was a big surprise. After playing Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite i was quite reluctant to play it knowing Levine was not involved. Even though, Bioshock 2 was a great experience and i got such a great time playing it.

    i cant say much about this game. it is very similar, than bioshock 1, just different story and a little imroved gameplay and graphics. I think the story was better in the previous episode, but this was fantastic too. It expand the city background and history. If you liked the 1, you have to play with this too.

Lo que venga después podría beneficiarse de un modo multijugador mejorado, aparte de eso, jugar como un Big Daddy fue un cambio de ritmo impresionante, incluso puedes esperarlo en MP. Aquellos que no han jugado el Bioshock original deben darse un capricho antes de recoger al predecesor, se perderá una gran cantidad de antecedentes.

    Everything was so polished in this game from the graphics to the writing to the game play. Had a lot of fun with this one. Like many games, got a little repetitive and grinding at time but a very strong experience overall.

    I did enjoy this game as much as with Bio1. This had more guns, ammo types and plasmids. This game gave also big freedom to gene tonic, you can spec the chr to be a tanker, "mage", melee spesialist or ranged gunner. Love the story after the event after the first game.

    BioShock 2 had a lot to live up to, and while it may not please all the fans of the original, it maintains it high level of beauty, storytelling and action. Sure it may be missing some of the more iconic characters from the previous game, but Subject Delta and Eleanor's heartwarming father-daughter dynamic was a welcome thing.

The protagonist has no personality but this is another debate, so I am not condemning this, but it's more involved and better intertwined with the story. The voice acting is still amazingly done, and the script was solid as well, although I see a lot of room for improvement, compared with other amazingly great games. The AI was very solid, and often smart enough to out best you, mid combat and was solid with no issues. While the mechanics are the same at core it has changed up a lot to make it feel like a new game from base mechanic's and feature's perspective. It has a handful of new features which are warmly welcomed and feel great in the game by fitting in with the story as well. Also keeping the old perfectly working features and the 'Little sisters' morality system, with some new bosses, and non playable characters that are part of the game's morality system.
    The game-play is where I am very disappointed and left down finding out that only a couple of weapons where added to change the feel of the game up which is by far not enough and it's not innovative at all. The endings satisfy a lot better than they did in Bioshock 1, because they added a larger variety of endings depending on your decisions throughout the game. The progression is pretty stable system as well, but recycled as well. Chore like collectibles, achievements and disappointing side missions and at the end of all them unrewarding made me want to drop the game after the half of it.
    Other critics would say that this is just as good, and I'd have to disagree...It's better in some ways, for example the story is more solid and the AI is more polished, but in other ways it's worse. Like: side missions and the same boring collectibles, and every single piled up recycled element. So the rating is the same for me as general gamer's and critics would rate it but not because i consider it that good but because I consider it better, but it's purely repetitive at it's core which make it not fun and not entertaining at all. Otherwise could have been the same as the original.
    Overall it's a very good game, which was held back by the untold amount of reused elements from the previous one. And sadly the greatly portrayed antagonist and new side characters are not enough to fill that spot.    … Expand

    Plasmids:
    The plasmids are greatly improved because they do not take the place of a gun. A gun and plasmid are always active. You shoot your gun with the left mouse button and use the plasmid with your right mouse button.

    Crashing:
    The game is not stable at all. Bioshock 2 Remastered is unstable in a way that it cannot be fixed. Bioshock 2 (not remastered) is stable if run in DirectX 9. Add "-dx9" to the launch shortcut to do this.    … Expand

    Awesome game. Every bit as good as the second with improvements. Story of Rapture continues from the first, and it interesting all the way to the end. The last actual Bioshock game with 3, a decent game in its own right, being something entirely different with the Bioshock label on it.

    +Minverva's Den DLC features an additional 2-3 single player campaign with a different cast of characters and story

    Cons
    -Some sound effects do not work at all (this is a known glitch and sadly there is no fix to this) however the DLC sound effects work fine.
    -Visuals at certain points in the game look like they are from the 6th gen rather than the 7th gen which Bioshock is from.
    -Like the first game some visual effects are in 30 FPS rather than 60 FPS
    -Some mechanics from the first game are missing such as the hacking pipes mini game
    -At one point in the game there is a sound glitch where it plays the big sister's theme continually until you finish the level
    -Some parts in the game felt rushed and out of place - some portions of how some mechanics were introduced were far better represented in the first game than this game such as the introduction of abilities.    … Expand

    I don't know why people consider this the worst Bioshock; it easily exceeds Infinite in terms of story and gameplay, and it at least makes more sense than Infinite. It certainly doesn't overtake Bioshock 1, but it's right behind it. Bioshock 2 gave us a more personal look at Rapture and showed us the human side of the enemy. It improved the gameplay and introduced duel wielding, whileI don't know why people consider this the worst Bioshock; it easily exceeds Infinite in terms of story and gameplay, and it at least makes more sense than Infinite. It improved the gameplay and introduced duel wielding, while Infinite turned the game into a standard FPS wave shooter with very little exploration and no morality choices. The developers of this game could do wonders with the Bioshock series now that Irrational has abandoned it. I'd love to see them take the helm, and what new stories await us.… Expand

    good... at all...
    Just like I hoped: Bioshock but sadly with Windows Live I really liked this game, nice graphics, bioshock gameplay and good Story but with WinLive you just can't play without saving every minute soo... only 8/10
