Jun 15, 2023There are lots of survival systems at play in Beyond Contact, but due to the poor functionality of the UI a lot of those systems aren’t fun. While I did enjoy the actually base building, and research systems for upgrading gear and tools my constant fight with the UI and bugs just marred each of my play sessions with the game. If players can deal with the controls, the developers are promising more planets to explore. Those that prefer the mouse and keyboard might have a better time with this one than I did with the controller.

Apr 28, 2023In Beyond Contact, players need to be resilient in order to get into and become familiar with the game. It's not ideal: an adventure game should be engaging from the start. But if you are a fan of this genre, the range of possibilities it offers is worth the patience.

Apr 25, 2023In conclusion, Beyond Contact may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it has plenty to offer for those who are new to survival games or simply looking for a sci-fi adventure with a distinctive visual twist. If you’re new to survival games or just love the sci-fi aesthetic, it’s definitely worth a shot. But for survival game veterans, it might feel a bit too simple or uninteresting. However, I still encourage others to try Beyond Contact for themselves and see what they think about it. Happy gaming!
