    If you want people to enjoy VR, don't put them in-front of rollercoaster vomit simulators, put them in-front of this game. It's fun. It allows to build skill. It burns calories, and above all it's a great demonstration of what VR has to offer. (playing on Rift S)

    Thought this was great on my Rift, but now on my Valve Index with the better sound, and 144Hz enabled, it is an amazing experience.

    P.S. Audica is an even better RA game, that I would, and will give 10 as soon as it is out of Early Access.

    Fun game that becomes a workout regimen. The base game can become stale, but the frequently updated DLC offerings and modded library (PC) offer a wide range of song/map styles.
    Beat Saber is a must play game for any VR owner.

    I wonder where are all those silent negative reviews are coming from. Is this "I dont have VR headset, so this game is bad" logic? Because I cannot find any meaningful explanation. It's the best rythm game right now, both VR and non-VR, period. I'm saying this as a long time ddr, in the groove, and OSU player.     it's a great VR game while there aren't that many songs it does still have a lot of stuff in it like modes and a pretty high difficulty so yea it's great.

    Beat Saber is priced at $30, I would recommend it just because it's fun, but at the same time I wouldn't recommend it because it has limited free songs and no Steam Workshop support. If you try to import song titles, it's a hassle, you have to go through a community made mod program.

    Campaign is cool to get practice for the harder challenges, the songs are decent, but very limited and no Steam achievements. Depending if you like these type of games, it can make you sweat which is a good thing.

    Songs that you pay for are licensed which means they most likely have a cut-off point in which after x amount of years you won't be able to buy that song anymore (unless they renew the licenses).

    Very ballsy of the developers to price this game at $30 for how much is has to offer (I bought it at $30 for my first VR game) and I could have bought something else.    … Expand

The included songs are great and the developers have semi-regularly been releasing paid DLC packs of more songs to play, but custom maps are required to take this game from a solid chunk of time to near infinite playability. The custom songs can be a bit hit-or-miss, but some of them are just unbelievably well-made and the sheer number of them helps to support the relatively small number of original songs included in the game. Plus, no matter how good the original songs are, most people who play this game will have more fun playing songs they recognize rather than Eurobeat EDM #7.

    If you're ok with those caveats, you'll have a great time and get a great workout from this game and it'll probably help you convince all your other friends to go out and buy a VR system of their own.    … Expand

    If you enjoyed DDR or just slicing ♥♥♥♥ with swords you'll enjoy this one. 1st VR game I played and I can't get enuff. The Basic game is good. The 10 songs it comes with are nicly done. Only one song pissed me off.

    Incredible game! It gives you a really great workout while also testing your skill at pattern recognition. This game alone makes buying my HTC Vive worth it.

    Beat sabre reminds me about Dance Dance revolution in the early days. it's a very, very good game. A must-have if you have VR. But it's not as good as it's popularity implies.

    Sin duda uno de los mejores juegos de RV. La versión stand alone de Oculus Quest 2 es genial. Puedes jugar solo con contra otros jugadores on line. Muy adictivo.

    One of my favourite VR games. It's a lot of fun either just for yourself or with friends in party mode and watching others jump around. The developer gives you some own music to get a taste of the mechanics as well as some DLC song packs but honestly the fun starts with the community mods and their downloadable songs.     Still, even after so many years - the greatest VR experience known to date. If you want to get your friends into VR games - put the headwear on them and pop this one. I will risk saying that Beat Saber was and is the main reason VR is erupting in popularity now.

    This is such an easy to play and enjoyable vr game. My family has had so much fun playing this and sharing the headset with each other. if you have a quest or rift, you really need to buy this.

    Game is very fun, already have 75 hours in 3 months as it is a game you can constantly come back to and improve, the game does have a few bugs like sometimes the hit registration can be bad but over my favourite game that I have ever played in my life,

    I think it is famous as the first game that people who play VR games for the first time play.
    Now, in 2021, there are VR games that have surpassed this game, but they are historically very meaningful.

    Let me put it this way: in times of covid, remote work and being stuck in home - Beat Saber is my most powerful protection from getting overweight. Its both fun and healthy. And come on - freaking lightsabers dude. You can't go wrong with lightsabers.

    Addictive. Sound is awesome. A dedicated Modding Community with thousands of Songs online for you to play. That is really the only way to play nowadays. Without you buying the Packs seperatly you are stuck with the same 30 Songs. Especially on PS4. A somewhat good way to workout with too.

    Still a VR must-have.

    Perhaps I'm alone on this, but I found Beat Saber's gameplay to be completely uninteresting, and that's... well all that Beat Saber has. This is the sort of game that I find is fun to watch, not to play.

    This along with VR chat was the reason why I bought a VR headset (HTC Vive).
    It's a must-have game for VR headsets.
    I love rhythmic games like Guitar Hero, OSU and Rock Band.

    Playing it is a nice workout as well :)

    This is by far my most favorite game of all time and has consumed so much of my time and I am not sorry about it. The base game can provide many many hours of content but for the love of God please don't buy the DLC packs its just a waste of money when you can just mod your pc or headset. Its getting easier and easier to mod the quest and modding Beat Saber on PC is a breeze trust me I'veThis is by far my most favorite game of all time and has consumed so much of my time and I am not sorry about it.     This is a fun rhythm game. It's a pretty engaging game in all honesty, but the songs are pretty mid. The songs are bland. I recommend getting the expansions or custom songs to spice up your experience.

    One of the most standout experiences I have had with VR or rhythm games. I am notoriously terrible at rhythm games or even finding the beat/rhythm of a song but since this title does such a good job visualizing everything I have no problems following along. Lastly, this has been an absolute joy to show off to others for some of their first VR experiences. The way people light up and try to process what is going on is uniquely amazing in this title, not a lot in gaming gives me the social joy that this title does.

    The only reason I do not describe the contents of this title as a game in this review is because the things I enjoy most about it don't line up with what I traditionally enjoy out of games. This to me fits in with something like a fitness or carnival experience rather than a piece of art meant to elicit some form of emotion. Though if you have a VR headset in any form, I will argue this is a must-have title and likely will be for decades to come.    … Expand

    The only rhythm game that can make you ripped. Beat Saber is an amazing time regardless of experience level. It is simple, yes, but the gameplay concepts it tries are executed so well that I would consider this to be one of the only VR games worth buying a headset for.

    After having played many dozens of hours: One of the best arcade experiences on the VR platform featuring the weakest music library of any rhythm game I've ever seen - and to think it was even more astoundingly bad at launch. The fact that you may be able to download community levels on PC, doesn't absolve this - as their quality and difficulty are often more miss that hit. It's also hard to introduce the game to other people on such levels as they naturally aren't required to make any easy levels. It's also odd as there are a few tracks from talented and renown musicians scattered within the several volumes of OSTs.

    Without custom levels this game is nothing to me.

    I recognize that music taste is subjective, and that my dissatisfaction should never and will never impact you enjoying Beat Saber for yourselves. However, I feel that there are some aspects which categorically do not compliment the design of a rhythm game.
    As a fan of extremely motif-laden and repetitive electronic music, (and a musician myself which has logged thousands of hours listening to a 4 bar loop without qualm) - I struggle to tolerate playing most levels twice in a row, as I feel most weren't designed for repeat playback. I also have some critique about the rhythm element of the songs themselves, at time it feels as if the game does not reflect the actual rhythm of the songs opting instead of a 4/4 quantization, and at other times many songs in the discography do not have interesting rhythmic elements.     Beat Saber feels like the title that has propelled VR gaming into the mainstream and its effect on inspiring a whole host of other developers to enter this space cannot be underestimated. The core gameplay loop here is one the whole family can get involved in and it is not an over exaggeration to say this game can consume hours once it gets its hooks in. The BTS tracks are a welcome addition and if there is one band whose music seems to fit perfectly with this, it surely has to be theirs. Energetic, bombastic and addictive - prepare to be replaying Dynamite a lot to perfect its tough beat map. While some will argue the game itself and subsequent packs are ever so slightly overpriced, with multiplayer now active and the ability to add as many custom songs as one desires, for any VR owner this is simply a must-buy.
