It's a squad based game with no "squad" in it. Just another adrenaline game for those people who get off on games such as Unreal Tournament; Just another frag fest. So if you're like me, and come from a Flashpoint/Arma background, this game may not appeal to you, as it didn't to me. The game installs correctly, runs okay on medium settings using an AMD 3000+ 2 Gigs Ram with 1 Gig Nvidia Video Card GT series. But good looking finding the fun in this game. I'm so sick of games that take your money, and make you play online to unlock all the weapons you should be getting for free since you forked over your money. Also, there were many times when playing online that I would shoot someone 5 to 7 times, and it wouldn't kill them, then they would shoot me between 1 and 3 times and I'd be dead. So I was getting the impression that the more unlocks you "unlock" the better weapons you get, with the ammo doing the most damage, so be prepared to die hundreds of times, while the frustrations add up, till you can unlock a decent weapon. Another thing I found was the frag fest style tactics used by other players, who jump around doing the bunny hop, hoping to dodge their turn at death. Perhaps if our soldiers in Vietnam would have bunny jumped around like so, less people would have died. The guns totally suck, and they all have the same feel. Then theres the grenades... Icons for infantry and vehicles show up on the radio, so there's on way you can be stealthy in this game, because I got the impression as well that people were just throwing grenades at where the radar showed the troop icons, before they're eyes ever got the actual visuals of the enemy soldiers. That seemed totally unfair to me. I'm so used to getting hundreds of kills in Arma, t hen I switch to Battlefield, where the radar gives them the advantage, and they don't have to actually look for the enemies, it's a total waste of money if you ask me, stick to Arma, because all Battlefield is, is another Adrenaline game that makes you angry after awhile, as well as dizzy if you play it long enough. As far as the critic reviews go, you can't really trust them. They are vague in description, whereas user reviews come from people like me who live games, and not just review them. They would look stupid giving a game a good rating while the Users slam the game in mass. So in those instances they join the Users, but other times when there's not much mixed or negative reviews by the Users, then the Critics will give it a decent score. Sometimes I think they work in cahoots with the gaming companies, just to sell games, because they know we gamers will check the reviews bebefore we buy the game, and if we see good reviews, we'll buy the game. I just wish the Critics would go jump in a lack, and leave the real reviews to the people who eat and sleep games. Gaming companies now days are ripping us gamers off, they create the game, push it through advertising, we pay for it, and not only do we pay for their crappy games, but we get to be the ones to beta test them as well, at our own expense. Only a gamer knows what gamers want, and these gaming companies are owned by idiots who just want our money, but don't want to give us anything for it in return.… Full Review »
