    Battle Train has a fun cast of characters, a solid story, and a lot of love put into it. The core gameplay is strong, but the lack of build variety leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully, some future updates will add some more deck themes down the line, because I would gladly return to Battle Train if they play their cards right.

    Battle Train is a quirky, strategic roguelike that mixes explosive turn-based train combat with deck-building and a mock TV show presentation, offering addictive gameplay, clever mechanics, and lots of replayability, though some frustrating design choices around difficulty and pacing hold it back from reaching its full potential.

    Fun, ambitious, and complex—even if the core idea feels a bit overused. With so many roguelike card games out there, Battle Train manages to stand out thanks to its humor, vibrant visuals, and a difficulty curve that ramps up without warning. Meeting new NPCs and unlocking fresh cards with each run keeps the experience engaging and prevents it from feeling repetitive.
