Shocking no one bothered to review the GOTY edition. Seems like the standard edition now. Anyway, Arkham City is a small sandbox that doesn't take much effort to get around from point A to point B when you can fly. Expands on the first game and has a fantastic atmosphere that no other game other than another Arkham game can make happen in an open world game.

Not recommended unless you are a huge Batman fan. The action gameplay is ok, but nothing spectacular. The story, the level design, the side missions, and all of the optional content are all really bad IMO. I was stuck multiple times because the game requires you to backtrack through a specific path without letting you know clearly enough. I was stuck multiple times because the game requires you to backtrack through a specific path without letting you know clearly enough. The side missions were very basic and required a lot of running around - these might be a bit more enjoyable if you actually know the characters from the universe. And there is a lot of "content" that involves collecting hundreds of random items spread around the map. Expand

Arkham City the best superheroes videogame ever? Well, possibly.

*STORY*: A year after Arkham Asylum, Quincy Sharp became the new mayor of Gotham and buys much of Gotham's slums to become a maximum outdoor security prison: Arkham City. Important improvement in this section compared to Asylum, but marred by a narrative diverted from the main plot and some incongruous points.

*PLAYGROUND*: A remarkable polishing of the animations in combat and the new gadgets further enhance the Dark Knight in perfect playability.

*GRAPHICS*: While it does not stand out as in Asylum, graphically and artistically City is also a powerful game in the visual.
The modeling of the main characters is perfect.

*SOUND*: The weakest section of Asylum here receives an adrenaline shot, from which a much better soundtrack comes out and wonderful Castilian Spanish dub and sound effects.

*INNOVATION*: Arkham City is not the revolution that was Arkham Asylum, but its refining.

Easily one of the best video games of all time. Gameplay, Combat, Story, Soundtrack, Open World, Character Models, Boss Fights, Voice Acting, Graphics ….. Batman: Arkham City nailed everything.

This is an excellent addition to the Arkham series, and my favorite, having playing Origins and Asylum so far. All three of these games are well done, with an excellent story. It is always good to see they put so much detail into the background of each major personality from the Batman comics.

Being able to play as Catwoman and Robin is a big plus. Both had unique and enjoyable styles

For DC or just Batman fans, these games are perfect. For those that just want to enjoy a well made game, this is also an excellent game for you. I recommend you start with Origins, then play Asylum, and after that, enjoy Arkham City.
