With an unimpressive overall aesthetic, floundering controls, and skimpy level design, I’d say your money is better spent on something with a bit more meat to it.

Definitely has great self-aware humor moments, and gameplay is generally pretty fun. They take good care to introduce new elements as the levels progress, though almost all of the elements are level-design ones, it'd have been nice to get a few new abilities, but you can't have it all.

In terms of gameplay, its a more relaxed, humorous pace -- this isn't Super Meat Boy, or a platformer that hates you with all its soul -- its more Super Mario Bros. in its difficulty curve, it can sometimes surprise you, but checkpoints are spaced reasonably often, so you'll rarely have an issue of cursing the game itself (except during those goddamned ice segments)

Overall, an excellent, relaxing game, that I'd recommend for a relaxing, nostalgic, humorous take on some of the old platformers.
