    GOTY 2023! What a gem of a game this is :) music, graphics, story, gameplay, it's all top notch, been waiting since bg2 for a sequal, it's been worth the wait it seems

    BG3, shows us, as gamers (specially the 30+ ones) 2 important things:

    1) It is still possible to make good games, and deliver them already finish, without predatory in-game payments, with a full and complete story, and a gamer-driven product. 2) Taking the declarations of some developers, the game industry has become lazy and they don´t even care to speak out loud about their only    BG3, shows us, as gamers (specially the 30+ ones) 2 important things:

    1) It is still possible to make good games, and deliver them already finish, without predatory in-game payments, with a full and complete story, and a gamer-driven product.
    2) Taking the declarations of some developers, the game industry has become lazy and they don´t even care to speak out loud about their only purpose they have: take as much money as they can because "making games is expensive" and the "over deliver" makes the look bad... funny way to say "if some one do a good job, and charge fairly for that, the people is going to expect the same for us"...

    So, Absolutely yes, this game is perfect. IT IS ART... I´m not that much into the CRPG, and I have not play BG I or II before, but the level of detail, the amount of content, the in-game mechanics, made me want to complete a full game once again... something that did not happen years ago, because I´d stop enjoy it, and just aquired t the games to have them on the shelve "for later"... Thank you Larian fore this masterpiece, for bringing me back the love for playing video-games... and for the other studios: Yes, you lazy and greedy people, THIS should be the new standar of the industry... gamers money deserve respect and a quality product, for the money they are paying you. You choose your job... do it right, and do it with love.    … Expand

    A game that demonstrates that AAA studios are not delivering.

    Larian Studios just made the most quality game I've played in a while with no micro-transactions or unfinished content.

    Incrível até para quem não é um grande conhecedor de D&D.. O jogo simplesmente vai escalando de forma fenomenal e você vai se sentindo mais imerso e forte dentro daquele mundo enorme cheio de possibilidades. A dedicação nesse jogo foi linda e com certeza vai ficar para a história!

    Best RPG I have played in years with meaningful decisions, inclusivity, and creative combat. I feel like I am playing D&D without the hassle of managing schedules with a play group and graphics to boot.

The OST is outstanding, the fights are always new and different, with lots of strategies to figure out for the player, role-play is top notch, the characters are simply impressive, art direction is insane, there is ton of content and the re-playability is impossible to describe.     I love dnd so much but i dont have any friends that would play dnd with me so this is my best chance to play dnd Its the 2nd best game i played this year its so much better the whatever blizzard is doing Its all blizzards fault

    Joguei os dois primeiros games, e aguardava ansiosamente pelo lançamento desta sequência. Acreditei no projeto desde o início, comprando ainda no acesso antecipado. O que se mostrou uma excelente escolha, o jogo é perfeito, a história é envolvente, gráficos lindos, personagens cativantes! Enfim! Perfeito!!!

    To address the online discourse; Literally noone thinks this should be the baseline for small indie studios.     For all the people who have never played such a genre before - give it a try. There are gameplay reasons why you switch between round based and real time and you will quickly learn to appreciate this. The game mechanics are solid and the game is an bloody marvelous adventure.     Simplesmente um dos melhores jogos que já joguei em toda a minha vida. É tão completo que chega a parecer irreal. Nunca fui desses que curte rpg de mesa e combate em turnos mas de uns anos pra cá isso acabou mudando drasticamente. Me apaixonei por esse universo “novo” cheio de possibilidades, histórias, personagens e aventuras incríveis. Com o tempo, acabei assistindo gameplays, rpgs deSimplesmente um dos melhores jogos que já joguei em toda a minha vida. É tão completo que chega a parecer irreal. Nunca fui desses que curte rpg de mesa e combate em turnos mas de uns anos pra cá isso acabou mudando drasticamente.     Baldur’s gate 3 foi o meu “primeiro” e não há alegria e paixão suficiente para que eu diga tudo que eu sinto, senti e irei sentir com esse jogo. Comprei no early access ainda com um pé atrás e só com 5 horinhas já vi que era um dos jogos da minha vida. Vou recomendar pra todo mundo que puder, é uma aventura incrível que eu to amando participar.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. You can do anything, Kinda like Oblivion (just as an example) but way more impactful bc everything you do has consequences in the story. You might not find out you borked something hard for 10's of hours! I killed an evil character early on... but it turns out I was lied to, and now this character will never be able to join my party. I made a deal with an evil character - my party members hated me for it, but it gave me powers so I'd say it worked out.

    It is soooo well written and voice/mo-cap acted: I encountered someone, and nobody in the party thought anything was off... But I could tell something was up by the way their voice changed, just a little, when they were telling a story... so I killed em. Still not sure if that was the right move but I got good loot!

    The game looks unbelievable, and you DO NOT need a crazy PC to run maxed at 4k. Beyond 60 fps doesn't do anything for a game like this, and DLSS2 Quality, as usual, should just be used for its amazing anti-analising effects. The environments are insanely detailed; the character models have no business looking as good as they do -- they were all motion-captured: the body language and facial expressions do wonders for communicating.

    The dialogue is fire. It can be funny, edgy, incredibly sincere and heartfelt. The amount of details in the game is unreal: books, objects, secrets that you could easily walk by and NEVER experience. This makes if feel limitless in a way no game has ever felt before... And I've been around since MS DOS.

    I've played 25 hours so far and haven't even reached the goblin encampment yet -- there is no way I will be done this play-through in 100 hours. No shot. But I'm having the BEST time exploring everything. There's even stuff I simply couldn't figure out and had to walk away from (no Google!!).

    I am trying to not be hyperbolic... but we are incredibly lucky this game exists: I've never seen anything like it; I would bet my life we won't see anything like this again in the next 20 years.

    My main games are coop looter-shooters, and AAA story-driven games. This is not something I expected to like, but I look forward to playing it tonight, I look forward to playing it all fall and winter. Eventually I hope to play it with 2-3 friends!

    Did I mention it is literally Dungeons and Dragons world/rules?

    The game deserves all the praise, and not because it has 0 microtransactions. That's just a bonus. Buy it now and be part of something truly special.    … Expand

    An EPIC masterpiece and master class on how to design and build a game for the fans.
    We've have all been waiting for something like this since Dragon Age Origins, and my god it sure does not disappoint.
    I pray to God that the usual mega corps don't try to buy out Larian Studios. We need this game company.

    A phenomenal CRPG and an enthralling Forgotten Realms adventure. I always want my CRPGs to feel like sitting down for a well run table top adventure with friends and BG3 does exactly that.

    What more can I say, that soooo many other users have already written! It's a great game and Larian Studios has knocked it out of the ball park with this game! Other studios need to follow in Larian's footsteps....(make an amazing game with no mirco-transactions, that has an awesome, fun and engaging story along with stunning graphics and top notch game mechanics). Its a D&D gamers delight!

    This game is everything you'd expect from Larian Studios and even more! The main and side stories are amazing. Baldur's Gate 3 is an absolute masterpiece (pun intended).

    its a great game, not perfect of course bet still deserves a 10/10, specially to balance people giving 0 because its different of a 23 year old game or for it being too hard even if its easier than DOS 2.

    It was a long time coming but the final product is finally here. I played it first when it was freshly released into the beta. While it was good and had outstanding potential it was not yet ready to come out of the oven. I have returned now that it has finally released and wow. This game is outstandingly good. The story is rich and combat is addicting if you enjoy TBS games. and by rich story I mean to say that you can play through multiple times using different classes and taking different approaches, all resulting in a totally different story being told. Perhaps you saved an NPC who comes into play later and helps you. Perhaps you left them to die and you run into their allies who blame you for the death. Everything is so intertwined with the world that it provides an exceptional sense of immersion. That small act could snowball into something else which will impact future events. And the level ups, oh boy the level up. I was super turned off by the low level cap as it sounded terrible. Until I started leveling that is. You really feel each level up. No need go level 5 times only to get a small and ultimately minuscule boost and maybe one new skill in hopes of beating that boss. Each level up will grant a variety of boons and bonuses depending on your build. Talk to animals as a druid, bash in the skull of everything as a berserker, speak with the dead as a cleric, play the lute and perform over-dramatized dialogue options as a bard, the possibilities are limited only by your own imagination. You can pick up a goblin and beat another goblin to death with them. I mean do I really need to explain more? 10/10 would recommend.… Expand

    You can just tell how much love and passion Larian poured into this game by the amount of well thought out variance for every possible situation you can run across. The amount of voice lines that are in the game is staggering, fantastic quality VA. Great music. Immersive and one of the    Absolute masterpiece.     I think the strength of this game really lies in the replayability because of the sheer amount of choice you have. Dialogue choices, Class, Race, Combat all of them have important and impactful decisions that will likely make you want to play this game again down the road. Solo or with friends, this game is just a fantastic experience all the way through.

    Larian really raised the bar with this release and takes the genre to an entirely new level.    … Expand

    Worth every bit of the wait. 23 hours in and only halfway through Act 1. Can already tell it has insane replay value, will be playing this one for years.

    This game is more than I imagined. For old players is a invite to D&D 5ed, for new players a fast way to play with a great history.

    With a vast world to explore with varied stories and secrets to discover, Baldur's Gate 3 definitely shines. The cast is largely appealing and voice acting is top notch all-around, even if the storytelling and line delivery is varied in its pace. Character progression is somewhat weak in the opening levels but has a strong foundation for a great buildcraft experience, even if it lacks some on the fly experimentation seen in Larian's past efforts. Despite some performance woes in the later parts of the game and controller hangups, this is a journey worth taking for fans of Dungeons & Dragons or those new to the role playing field.

    Larian Studios, the creators of the latest installment, have gone to great lengths to make sure they didn't disgrace any of the franchise's building blocks. The love and care is evident in Baldur's Gate 3, though needless to pretend, there aren't a few bricks crumbling here and there in this monument. It's far from a perfect title, but on the whole Baldur's Gate 3 is a brilliant computer RPG that is undoubtedly not to be overlooked. [Issue#329]

    Baldur’s Gate III is a title that many would not have thought possible just a few years ago. The game serves to further Larian Studios’s already strong reputation, and the studio deserves massive credit for refusing to panic, taking its time to get things right, and continuing to offer improvements even after launch at an impressive rate. Hopefully, it is able to reap the richly deserved rewards for doing so.
