    A visually stunning action RPG that has not a very original story, but is really well written. The combat is very fun and is a game with tons of hard decisions that works like the great Obsidian games. [Recommended]

    It'd be easy to glance at Avowed and see just another all-too-familiar take on a well-trodden fantasy RPG space. But that would be a mistake. The game's zippy controls, tough but not overwhelming combat, and morally ambiguous perspective make for a memorable journey that sets itself apart from the crowd.

    In a vacuum, I like how it wraps up its questions. But these moments are lost in the constant, desperate — and stop me if you’ve heard this one before — scrounging for wood.

    This might be the most beautiful, intricately hand-crafted open-ish world in gaming. I wish I was more excited to spend time in it.
