Got stuck at the first levels. Then my PC crashed. This is Windows 8 user review.

Taking in account the little time I've got it working it was kind of dull and boring game. In the other hand the graphics are very good, 3 points for that.

Loved this puzzles! you can solve them in many different ways, there is a bunch of possibilities depending on your way to see the maps, or reasoning the problem... Good game. I liked it. Basically you take the essence of Portal but with a different style: gravity. Also, the puzzles are quite interesting, you have to think "outside the box" almost all the time!

I love puzzles and the puzzles in Attractio are really challenges. Each level is very interesting because the tools for each character give a special flavor to the puzzle.

Puzzles puzzles puzzles, I love this game. The graphics are awesome and the levels challenge your mind! Some levels are very hard to resolve and you need to think different.

Puzzle games are hit and miss with me but I enjoyed other first person puzzle games such as Portal and ChromaGun so I figured I would finally try Attractio. Sadly I didn’t have much enjoyment with it. Sadly I didn’t have much enjoyment with it. The game has an interesting premise with being a game show with various contestants who are all trying to win a different prize for their own reasons but the puzzles weren’t fun to solve and I knew I wasn’t going to enjoy plowing on wards. The graphics are decent. Nothing is standout about them but nothing is poor either. The voice acting for the announcer and the characters are fine but not fantastic. The game is split up in the sense that each level you alternate to a different character and each character has different special gear that the puzzle in the room will be based around. The back story and lore to the world interested me and I wanted to continue for that sake but I just wasn’t feeling the puzzles. They didn’t seem intuitive at times and my logic and the games logic just wasn’t syncing up.

I played Attractio on Linux. If you use a non Debian based distro you will more than likely have the game crash on launch. Some people have had success in installing an older version of certain libraries that the game requires and distros such as Manjaro no longer keep installed. I opted to just install Linux Mint which the game launches fine on. The game uses OpenGL. It has one AA option; three AO settings and four other graphics options. There is no Vsync option. The game auto saves at the start of each puzzle room, there is no manual save option. The game uses the “GC engine” which I had never heard of. Performance was great overall. There was the odd dip to the 70’s for FPS but never lower and the game felt very fluid. Alt-Tab worked as well.

    Disk Space Used: 3345 MB
Settings Used: Everything at highest @ 1080P
    VRAM Usage: 1305-2821 MB
    CPU Usage: 8-12 %
    RAM Usage: 2.6-3.7 GB
    Frame Rate: 72-106 FPS

Overall I don’t want to say this is a bad game because it does have some redeeming qualities. I would suggest watching some game play videos to see if you will enjoy the puzzles because that was the only real knock against the game I had aside from tying the game to old libraries that meant some Linux distros wouldn’t launch the game. I only spent about an hour on the game before realizing it wasn’t for me. The game’s current price of $21.99 CAD seems a bit steep even if I had liked the game, something like $10-15 would be a better value.

    My Score: 6.5/10

This game is lame!.. the story behind it and the voice acting are really bad. and the sub-standard visuals make your eyes hurt, lacks artistic touch. The puzzles are the only thing worth this game, and still they feel unpolished, some places you can even bypass the intended puzzle presented to you. Overall, not worth the price, if you find it at $6 and like portal-like puzzles then go for it.

It’s a shame that Attractio is so ugly and its story is so bland, because the puzzle are really well designed and their difficulty is properly balanced. [03/2016, p.57]

Great puzzles that are unfortunately marred by sub-par presentation with cringeworthy dialogue and voice over.
