However Ubisoft had recognised their gamplay issues and released Dead Kings for free. This DLC had been good in my opinion as a fan of the game, as it had implemented puzzles that were to be solved as a part of the story line. Dead Kings tells the story of the aftermath of Arno Dorian and his relationship with Napoleon. Not only did they improve their story, the gameplay is running more smoothly then it had upon its initial release. Hence my final verdict is 8/10 Full Review »

It serves as a fantastic epilogue to the main game, providing a fitting conclusion to the Unity experience.

The DLC introduces a new setting, the eerie and intriguing underground catacombs of Saint-Denis, which adds a fresh and unique dimension to the gameplay. Exploring these hauntingly beautiful catacombs felt like an adventure of its own, perfectly complementing the familiar streets of Paris that we navigated in the main game.

Moreover, "Dead Kings" brings a new storyline that dives into Arno's character, offering more depth and insight into his journey as an assassin. The narrative doesn't disappoint, managing to strike an emotional chord with players and enriching the overall narrative of the Unity universe.

Apart from the compelling story, the DLC also includes new weapons, gear, and side missions that add to the enjoyment of the gameplay. The fresh content blends seamlessly with the base game, creating a cohesive and satisfying experience.

In conclusion, "Dead Kings" is an impressive addition to Assassin's Creed: Unity, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to delve further into Arno's story and explore more of the rich historical world crafted in the game. If you enjoyed Unity, this DLC will undoubtedly leave you with a sense of fulfillment and nostalgia.

The DLC comes with its own OST, which I think works really well, and adds to the great atmosphere.

Although the story is a little confusing at times, Arno redeems himself as a character for me. He is much more interesting and regains that spark that he lost about halfway through the main game.

Overall; for a free DLC, Dead Kings is great. The new map is really well-designed, with some interesting new missions. It's a nice final chapter for Arno.
