Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood takes a lot of players for the top of the series and for the best part ever. After all, I'm leaning towards the second part, even though I understand why the people of Brotherhood love so much. The story follows right where the second part ended, so the game continues beautifully. Of course, the legendary Ezio must not be missing, who has already shone in the previous work and has perhaps experienced its peak here. What surprised me was the graphics. I really couldn't believe my eyes. Maybe I'm crazy and today the game probably won't impress you too much, but in that year 2010 it was just over, in my opinion. Simply beautiful. What will also please the PC player very nicely is the control, which in pairs was done primarily on the gamepad, but here the keyboard game can be played without any problems, so if you are a keen PC player who loathes the word gamepad, Ubisoft will please you here. As I mentioned, the story follows the second part, which had a damn luxurious story, especially, we compare it with the first part. Here again, Ubisoft did not disappoint and again I have to laugh at the successful story and especially at the negative Cesar, who was simply phenomenal in the AC series. OK. Probably a replay, but I really liked it. I praised the graphics, the story and what the main thing is? What about gameplay? How is the game played? I can assure you that quite like two and even several times better, so you don't have to worry about gameplay. What makes the various passages much easier for you, for example, is the crossbow that the developers have added here. Great toy. In addition, Ubisoft again offers a beautiful environment of Italy, this time specifically Rome. I'll get to that. What I praised in the second AC was that the developers finally gave us some kind of currency in the game, thanks to which we can spend and thus buy various things. Here you can buy almost the same as in a couple, except that you can spend money on renovations, which I take as a perfect novelty. In the game you can renovate the whole of Rome. You can then go to collect earnings. At a later stage of the game, a great way to make money. What I also praised in pairs and here it is no different are the side missions, which are even better. What I especially enjoyed were the flashbacks that took us back to Florence or I really liked the Romulus missions, which if you complete them all, you get the Romulus Armor, which just looks gorgeous and I haven't seen a nicer Assassin suit. Of course, a wonderful soundtrack plays into all of this, which may not surpass that of the two, but the **** is still great. Brotherhood could have been the best part of the series for me as well, but unfortunately one thing bothered me all the time was that although Rome is beautiful and has its Italian atmosphere and Leonardo Da Vinci will return to us here, most of the game takes place in Rome. The city is beautiful, but in the second part we had Florence, so other different locations and overall the second part was a bit more extensive than Brotherhood. I'm not saying it's a negative minus, because Rome is big enough, we can still renovate it, so we have something to do in it and we will return to Florence thanks to flashbacks, which, if I'm not mistaken, are like side missions and are not part of the main story. Despite that, I just think it's a pity that we couldn't return to Florence normally in the full beauty of Brotherhood's new graphics. Otherwise, for me, an amazing game that I recommend. Expand

Some may find Brotherhood to be a repetition of it's predecessor. However, the formula the game follows is still great.

Pros: - Banking system and earning money systems are well implemented - The Assassin's modern day hideout and interactions have improved greatly from ACII. - Ezio can recruit citizens into the Assassin's guild and they will come to Ezio's aid. Cool

    Cool implementaion.

    - The story is engaging. Ties between modern day and the past are brilliantly written.

    - Characters are very interesting. Especially the ones from ACII.

    - Combat has improved slightly, but with some glitches.

    - Multi-player

    - The four modern day assassin's have more interesting character compared to ACII.

    Cons:

    - The lack of measurement shown for the player between Ezio and the destination on the mini-map makes it difficult to decide whether to take a horse or run. The cities are enormous and sometimes it is better to take a horse.

    - There are a lot more stealth and undercover missions. Which can be quite punishing if you are the impatient type.

    - There are glitches in some parts. Inability to move, short freezes.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's removal of multiplayer and all DLCs is a major letdown for players. It's particularly frustrating that even those who have previously purchased the content can no longer access it. AAssassin's Creed: Brotherhood's removal of multiplayer and all DLCs is a major letdown for players. It's particularly frustrating that even those who have previously purchased the content can no longer access it. While it is understandable for multiplayer servers to get taken down after a while, it is unacceptable to revoke access to singleplayer content already bought by the players. A black spot on Ubisoft's already dirty image. Worst of all, it sets a concerning precedent for other games in the future, causing players to worry about losing access to content they have legitimately acquired.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a remarkable addition to the series, building on the foundation laid by its predecessor, Assassin's Creed II. While some may view it as an expansion, the game's upgrades and new gameplay elements make it a worthy standalone experience. The story takes a different direction, offering a more mature Ezio who truly embodies the role of an assassin. Personal preferences may vary, but both narratives hold their own charm.

One standout aspect of the game is the progression in Desmond's present-day storyline, which adds depth and excitement to the overall experience.

Gameplay remains consistent with its predecessor, but the improvements are evident. The introduction of assistance from fellow assassins adds an impressive and visually appealing dimension to combat, though it might make battles feel a bit easier. The crossbow also serves as a powerful tool, potentially making stealth and combat too simplistic when combined with the help of assassins.

Parkour and movement mechanics retain the greatness of Assassin's Creed II, allowing players to navigate the beautifully designed environment of Rome with ease.

However, the overwhelming feeling when opening the map is a notable downside. Instead of a gradual progression, players are bombarded with information from the start, which could deter some from immersing themselves fully in the game.

The inclusion of flags is a nostalgic nice touch, but the new feature of buying and upgrading buildings feels somewhat out of place. While it aligns with the storyline and the concept of Ezio restoring Rome, it lacks a clear purpose beyond providing a sense of progression.

The multiplayer component is no longer relevant due to the shutdown of the servers. Additionally, some technical issues with the gamepad inputs prevented a proper evaluation of the multiplayer experience.

One substantial disappointment is the lack of Steam achievements despite the game featuring a big list of them. It's unfortunate that players who earn these achievements won't be able to showcase them on the Steam platform. They can be seen only in the in-game options menu.

Overall, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a commendable addition to the franchise, offering a great follow-up with improved gameplay and an engaging continuation of Ezio's storyline.

Excellent game, from the sequel in all the good things of 2 but with tweaks and improvements in gameplay.
The only cons was the main campaign that I found a little shorter, but even more dynamic.

The single player campaign is short (i was wondering if i was even half way through when i got to the end) and if im not wrong there are 9 memory sequences. The campaign also lacks of a consistent story, although i really enjoyed it. I didnt find any bugs i can remember.
The multiplayer is fun and very exciting, although it could get a little repetitive if you overplay it. However there are different types of MP games such as Wanted, Escort, Chests and Alliance that will mix it up a little.

If you are looking just for the single player, i would not pay the full price right now, but if you also want to play some fun online games it might be worth it.

A potentially great game. The gameplay itself is repetitive, but the "fun" coming with the repetitiveness overlooks this flaw. Graphic is well done, although I have a major comment to make on this game. Its "cutscene character animation" could use more polishing, as it was a little bit too stiff. Other graphic elements are well done. I do not dislike the short gameplay time. In fact it's more focused and less biased that way. If the story needs to end, end it.

Great storyline and general gameplay makes the game a "must have" in everyone's collection. Unfortunately tough, the battles are very easy and you seem to be able to defeat houndreds of enemies without much trouble if you played AC2. Another bad point is in the Multiplayer mode. Although the idea was great and the execution fine, you will find it very hard to play with your friends online.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood isn't as much a sequel as a completion to the second game, and while this is certainly the best game of the three so far, you probably don't want to jump into the story without having played at least the second game first.
