    I honestly like the game very much. It really looks like a modern upgrade to A8 in terms of graphics and racing, but the game to just WAYYY TOO P2W!! Like A8 was Super P2W, and this is like 50 times worse!!! Like US$100 in A8 gets u 15000 tokens and even a couple cars. In A9 US$100 gives u 3000 tokens and the cars need like 20000 tokens to max or even unlock. Like WHAT THE FK GAMELOFT!?!I honestly like the game very much. There's an event for the game where you have to buy the car with real money in order to continue the event, and the car also needed to be upgraded and that cost more money, there's a total of 4 cars that we, the players had to buy for us to continue our progress, This game had the same event from the last few months ago where it makes the players sick and hate it and hoping there'll be no more this kind of event, now they're( the devs ) doing it again, the devs need to know how to treat their fans and players with more respect, not slapping us with they're pay wall! I say no pay to win for this game, it's unenjoyable and unfriendly to the new players. #NoP2W Expand

    There's an event going which required you to bought multiple pack with real money in order to process, absolute BS, this game is fun and all awesome graphics, but the P2W is just ridiculous

    Great graphics and fun to play, but good God is it pay 2 win. It's ok to have some in app purchases, but they will charge over $100 for some items and you won't even be able to unlock the car you wanted afterwards. It's I credibly greedy, and until they make purchases and game progression reasonably priced, I can't reccomend this game.

    Asphalt 9 is a good game spoiled by many issues. This is what happens if you put some greedy businessmen (Vivendi / Gameloft management) in charge of a racing game by talented developers. This is what happens if you put some greedy businessmen (Vivendi / Gameloft management) in charge of a racing game by talented developers. Simply put, A9 is a racing (Need For Speed mixed with Burnout/some elements from Trackmania) / destruction derby / casino game with progress based on playing the same few tracks thousands of times for underwhelming rewards which are mostly generated "randomly" (it's actually a rigged system). The economy of this game is based on blue tokens (premium currency; hard to earn and you can buy it with real money), red tokens (cheap currency that you get instead of extra blueprints after maxing out a car and it's used only in their store), credits (for upgrading the cars), SC (during some special events).

    The progress in this game is pretty fast in the beginning and after a while it turns into endless boring grind. If you're not prepared to play every day for many months or years just to get a semi-decent garage and if you have a low tolerance to frustration then stay away from this game.

    The biggest issues are:
    - the fuel system (imagine waiting 6 hours for some top tier cars to refill in order to play mere 3 races);

    - the ticket system (play a few races in events and wait over one hour to play again or watch ads; this is an evil strategy to make people open the game many times during a day);

    - the cards system (almost everything in this game is based on rigged luck aka loot boxes: you usually don't get what you need);

    - underwhelming rewards in events and multiplayer (they keep nerfing the rewards);

    - many cheaters flooding the leaderboards (esp. on Android);

    - unfair multiplayer (their matchmaking system has nothing to do with fair play; their system often pairs overpowered beasts with mediocre or bad cars and as you can guess, the good cars usually win);

    - unbalanced garage (in every car class the difference between the first car and the last one is huge) and also most cars are bad or underwhelming (the good ones are extremely expensive);

    - terrible exchange rates (e.g. they sell epic parts starting from 6000 red tokens each but your epic parts worth no more than 100 red tokens if you sell them);

    - extremely overpriced packs (whoever made those prices is either an arrogant millionaire or completely deluded; you can buy some real used cars with how much they ask to get some cars);

    - the terrible AI cars: they are programmed to ruin your race by pushing you on the walls and generally slowing you down (costing you wasted tickets and fuel cells - see how evil GL are?), are unrealistically fast (they can catch up like they're driving with over 600 kmh even if their stats are far worse) and use the so called rubberbanding (the worst AI for racing games);

    - pay 2 win special events with many "rank required" pay walls;

    - many glitches/bugs in the physics engine which will ruin many of your races (pro tip: use brake if the car starts rolling uncontrollably while in air);

    - it lacks basic features such as restart race, quit game, replay seekbar, manual acceleration;

    - the knockdown system is unreliable and doesn't work as expected every time;

    - unrealistically high reputation required to earn all club milestones which put pressure on players to play many, many hours and that leads to most top clubs to use bot farming;

    - annoying slow animations everywhere plus those pesky Claim buttons (they didn't even bother to add Claim All buttons; they expect players to do a lot of useless work);

    - slow Customer Care (they are polite but they take ages to solve issues).

    Fighting against these issues is like extra game challenges besides the actual races and garage management. Vivendi/Gameloft afford to keep those issues unfixed because they bet on the existing players to keep playing to not give up on their hard work (their garage). I'm not sure this strategy will work in the long run. Vivendi/Gameloft are disrespected by their player base because they seem to care only about making easy money.

    But there are some positive parts too: many races are very entertaining especially if you're skilled and play in manual mode against other skilled players, the control of the cars is pretty good (much better than A8), it's nice to build a garage, the cars look very good (those designers did an excellent job), the tracks are colorful and interesting (still, they are also very twisty), the career mode is decent, they put some effort to make some special events look interesting, their community (Reddit, Youtube, Discord, Facebook, official board) is dedicated. Also the UI designers deserve some praise. There are many UI elements which are looking nice: the fonts, the badges, many game menus, those beautiful track logos at the beginning of the races, the color scheme, the garage (the original one, not the current one), etc.

    GOOD

    - cars look nice - car handling, personality NEUTRAL - its not complete PAY2WIN - car customization (a lot of room to improve) - tracks are mostly okay, apart selected few with some questionable design choices BAD - limitations that try to force player to pay for everything - fuel system to limit ability to drive a single car - ticket system to limit daily races -

    NEUTRAL

    - its not complete PAY2WIN
    - car customization (a lot of room to improve)
    - tracks are mostly okay, apart selected few with some questionable design choices

    BAD

    - limitations that try to force player to pay for everything
    - fuel system to limit ability to drive a single car
    - ticket system to limit daily races
    - no custom races
    - no way to train solo

    - incredibly grindy and after initial month or so progress goes to snail pace
    - very little rewards or downright insulting ones for hours of "job" (racing)
    - performance means nothing in many ways, only grind matters
    - currently absurd requirements for daily reputation to gain something of little value

    - knockdown system (there is true pay2win as higher rated car means easier kills on others and partial immunity to knockdowns)

    - crash system
    - horrible unpredictable physics thats probably partly RNG, or just really poorly programmed
    - miserable netcode with huge prediction showing player cars where they are not
    - often disconnects for no good reason (servers for EU somewhere in Canada?)

    - controls suck, hard, pick any sensitivity you want, it will be bad value for most cars

    - S tier cars are hard to drive, hard to win with, most can be used like 3 times per 6 hours and in general top tier actually sucks a lot, not worth effort

    - B tier cars are overpowered as hell and incredibly annoying to race against

    - tracks become really boring really fast, always same tracks for everything, despite game having more tracks

    - game lacks balance, only few good usable cars, majority of them behind paywalls or incredible grinds

    - ridiculously expensive everything if you want something for real money, greed level is over the top, completely absurd pricing, you could buy real (used) car for price of virtual one!

    - RNG system for everything you gain, everything is randomized and its not fair RNG, its rigged/cheating RNG

    - AI cars in career and daily/event races = bad, stupid, cheating and in general annoying as hell

    - Android system is plagued with cheaters, on PC they mostly are present in leaderboards only, but there is no harsh enough punishment for them (on any platform)

    - apart cars, game looks like turd from 2010

    Very similar to the older days of Burnout. However it is great on mobile and pc, yet it is buggy and feels cheap at sometimes. Like, fix the ability to redeem codse.

    Lastly, it is big pay to win. Just a tad bit to greedy on that front, I understand wanting money, but dang. Dolphins don't stand a chance, you need to be a mega whale.

    This, once again, is pay to win garbage from Gameloft. Good graphics doesn't save this game due to how many events require you to pay up to progress further. Make a good Asphalt game that doesn't constantly says its being milked to death for once, Gameloft! If it takes you having to go back to the paid route from the likes of Asphalt 7, include no ads, and no P2W garbage, then do it.

    If you consider this game, ask yourself, do I want to hate everything and everyone?

Its just SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING experience that I cant even find words to describe it. Its sneaky game. It starts nice, but after you get over with your career and start

    Its sneaky game. It starts nice, but after you get over with your career and start racing it gets progressively worse and fast. You end paying huge cash and hating yourself or just hating everyone else.

    So if you want answer if you should play this game, then definitely NOT. Or do you hate yourself that much?

    Usually I would have liked and played more these type of games but I wasn't that much into racing games in the couple of last years.
    The game glitters, though, and it has that potential to keep you connected for a career time in racing sim.
    Graphics are good, maybe too good and shiny for my current tastes.
    Recommended to genre passionates, but not only!

    60 fps limit. DISGUSTING. This game could be much more playable if they would just got rid of the useless frames limit. Today pcs can easily handle 200 fps on this game. So the limit is for what?

    The game looks really nice, and the cars drive really smooth and easy (especially with TouchDrive on) but the endless paywalls ruin the experience.
    You, literally, have to PAY for the more DECENT cars.
    The free ones are somewhat underpowered, with a few exceptions, and better cars take FOREVER to unlock (not to mention the ever-present ads that pop-up if you don't buy the Legend Pass).

    I don't see the point of this type of games: why make it free if I can't enjoy playing?
    I'd rather pay 60 Euros for a FULL game than buying mini-packs for less money that don't really give you the car, but rather a CHANCE to get blueprints for it!
    Also, there are LIMITED events that never come back: like the Chiron event and so on; or, if they come back, they do with very LIMITED rewards, compared to the original release.
    You have to play daily not to miss out!
    But, then again, it's a game DESIGNED for mobile, not PC.
    Got a really good deal for NFS Payback on PC... MUCH better experience, even though the number of cars is much lower, I enjoy the open-world a lot more and cars feel more natural (acceleration diminishes with speed).
