    As an old hardcore D&D fan, I can say that this game brings those mythical worlds of the past back to life. Smashing ogres and other fiends while exploring the forest is what it's all about. Grab it now!

    You could also gouge out your eyes, stick sharp objects in your ears, and break your wrists, and if that sounds like a fun way to spend your average Sunday, maybe this is the game for you. [Jan 2003, p.73]

    You can pass through most of the game in this way without ever having to fight, which means that Arthur's Quest is either an action game with an exceedingly poor design or a fast-paced, arcade-style coward simulator.
