I absolutely love everything Arkham and I am playing the Arkham Horror board games for years now and never grew tired of them.
This game is a really amazing adaptation for PC and although I am only three hours in, I can already tell that it has replayablity, and I can see DLCs happening in the future like the board game's expansions.

There are some tiny bugs in there but no blockers, nothing that ruins the otherwise great and eerie atmosphere.
Inventory management is important and reading the instructions as well. I did read of people being unable to equip items which must be down to them not having read the instructions. It is pretty straight forward yet not the usual game mechanic one might be used to from other turn based games.
I love it and can't recommend it highly enough!

A board game franchise come to life! I'm a few hours into Arkham Horror: Mother's embrace and I'm having an absolute blast. I love the atmosphere, combat is fun, and the story is quite intriguing. It really does feel like I'm playing the board game, just with less risk of my cat jumping onto the table and ruining all progress. :) The game's overall UI needed some getting used to at first,A board game franchise come to life! I was very happy to see that I was able to choose my investigator, and then meet & choose others as companions along the way. Can only recommend this to any Arkham fan. Expand

Linearity, complete absence of suspense, poorly written characters, ill-conceived gameplay mechanics and various bugs turned Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace into a huge disappointment. [06/2021, p.54]

It’s difficult to recommend Arkham Horror Mother’s Embrace if you’re not already a fervent fan of the universe, and knowledge of what this game could have done with the source material will leave you yearning for a better digital implementation of Asmodee's tabletop tour de force.

Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace is an enjoyable title, especially for its modest price point. There is enough that it does right to make it well worth a playthrough, but the linear nature of the story and levels makes playing through the game again unappealing, even with the choice of multiple starting investigators. It does a lot of elegant translation of the mechanics from the board game into a video game, but there is a lack of cohesion and spice that make the ideas and mechanics not mesh well together.
