Can't complain about free. It's a good 30min or so timeburner which is surprisingly entertaining and polished.

Aperture Desk Job is literally a 30-minute mandatory turret session of last-gen shooters, but fun.

This is an interactive experience. Short but sweet. J. K. Simons is behind the helm of Cave Johnson and it is magnificent. It's charmingly weird and wonderfully odd. Small details make the experience richer like no one else than Valve can do. It's just a other reason to curse the gaming gods, why aren't you making more actual games Valve?

Aperture Desk Job is a bad implementation of ideas. Given Valve's capabilities, it was possible to create your own analogue of ASTRO's PLAYROOM. But Valve instead was only able to create the most primitive (game? - it's hard to call it a game) craft. Either Valve finally forgot how to make games, or the priority of Aperture Desk Job was minimal and it was done by 1.5 people. I don'tAperture Desk Job is a bad implementation of ideas. Links to Portal or what is the shared setting used? As learning to use Steam Deck, the game is implemented mediocrely, as a standalone game it is difficult to call a game that. Fortunately, it goes for free. Steam Deck is a lovely portable PC, but Aperture Desk Job is a shame of Valve. Expand

The simulator where everything goes wrong. Not a very original idea, as well as the gameplay, which by the middle turns into a regular shooting range, although the controls are convenient, you can’t find fault here.
But good "portal" humor, of course, who would doubt it, and beautiful graphics of Source 2. I don’t know how to evaluate this game from the point of view of a “demo”,

I don’t know how to evaluate this game from the point of view of a “demo”, but, from the point of view of a short adventure, I rate it very average, I enjoyed it, but the game didn’t sink right into the soul. Even secret actions are very few.
The plot here is very unclear, the main events are funny at first, then very peculiar..There is a slight connection with the plot of the Portal, but nothing specific, although I am not an expert of the universe.
p.s. By the way, Cave Johnson is voiced by J.K. Simmons, I didn't know this before.

Source 2.

    # The classic Valve charm
The game is set in the Portal universe, the most obvious indicator of this is that during the whole game, a Wheatley-like bot is talking to you. This one is slightly less of a moron. You have a desk that you sometimes you that displays the controller's buttons and sticks and reacts accordingly when you use them. This may seem like a minor detail, but I loved this

You have a desk that you sometimes you that displays the controller's buttons and sticks and reacts accordingly when you use them. This may seem like a minor detail, but I loved this so much, because it was just more added charm to the game. There really isn't much gameplay here, 95% of the game is just watching and listening to the story.

    # Length
Like Valve themselves say, this is a short game. The entire thing is about an hour. It's free anyway, so you might as well try it - if you have a controller, that is.

    # Conclusion
And a short game deserves a short score, so Aperture Desk Job gets a 2,9/3 from me. Aperture Desk Job is a charming little experience, but not much more. There isn't anything wrong with the game, I found 0 bugs. I would have liked a bit more gameplay but it's a short, it's no big deal.

GP-50 khaki

    I love this game.
First, IT'S FREE!! If that isn't an incentive to at try it, I have no idea what will.
Second, it is really, REALLY short (~30 minutes or so). Third, the graphics are BEUTIFUL running on Source 2. But now that I have praised this game into Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, we get to the bad parts. The controls are fine, but I personally don't see why it was put onto Steam

There is NO reason not to beat this game, even if you don't like the Portal Franchise (trust me, this is NOTHING like Portal). 7/10.

This is a small project, but it packs in its share of indelible images. Aperture Desk Job confirms that, even when working on a limited scale, Valve is still the best in the biz at plopping you down in the middle of a well-realized sci-fi world and conjuring up a host of imaginative sights before your wide, unblinking eyes.
