    Meni je dobra ali nije predobra, steta je sto sve tri frakcije su u globalu iste i onda se iste stvari ponavljaju napravis sve kako dolikuje i samo drzis plus dugo vremena, ali sve u svemu zanimljiva igrica :)

    Buy it for singleplayer, not for Multiplayer. Most of the time the MP doesnt work.

    La serie di anno non delude mai, anche con questo capitolo troviamo un bilanciamento e una quantita di lavoro incredibile e con un multiplayer buono.

    Puis il demande vers la fin du patch la clé. Bon ok, bon prince je lui rentre la clé (je suis bon prince). Il termine, je relance Anno 2070. Tiens, il lance Uplay maintenant... et là direct un message à la con "clé non valide". Et dans ma bibliothéque youplaie, aucun Anno 2070 ?...

    Alors, je lui re-rentre la clé manuellement (oui, avec la main) pour qu'il comprenne... oh enfin, il a compris, le jeu apparaît bien... ouf, pas besoin de le... réinstaller. Tout a l'air normal. Je relance donc Anno 2070... j'espère ne pas avoir à le relancer 2070 fois !

    Le jeu se lance, tout a l'air normal mais... non, mais tu vas voir, c'est un vrai feuilleton... il redemande la putain de clé ! tiens mais putain, je te la re-rentre dans le fion et étouffe-toi avec, toi et ta putain de clé de connerie de con ! ça y est, je suis enfin au menu du jeu mais je suis soûlé, là.

    Alors, comment qu'on fait... y a des trucs partout... ah là, "campagne"... allez, charge la truffe, charge... Et finalement, en moins de temps qu'il ne faut pour le dire et encore moins pour le croire (même si c'est plus long) Anno 2070 reste un Anno : c'est très beau mais c'est très confus, très mal foutu, mal présenté (mais c'est beau, oui, oui) anti-ergonomique et vite super énervant.

    Alors, je me suis dit "mais c'est quoi ça, putain ?" et j'ai quitté illico presto. Ensuite, j'ai désinstallé... et d'ailleurs, on critique l'Epic Game Store (oui c'est buggué comme une grosse merde) Origin (ah la saloperie de la Worst Company !) GOG (oh les indés de mes deux, les vieux jeux tout pourris et qu'est-ce que c'est lent à charger ! mais au moins c'est sans DRM, merci quand même) et Steam (la boutique du gros porc, de Jabba le Hutt (avec le mode hors connexion qui ne marche que quand il est conecté) mais tout de même Uplay, qu'est-ce que c'est bien de la merde !

    Mediocre game. It's 2018, but even fo 2011, mediocre at its best. Not graphics (but it could be better, like camera and post effects), but the mechanics are just bad. It was a nightmare for me to push this game. It's like I had to bargain with myself to start it on my PC. It's painful but has also a few good moments. If you can get it for free or for a few $, then you probably won'tMediocre game. It's 2018, but even fo 2011, mediocre at its best.     There is an insane amount of depth with the gameplay inside the game with all the things you could possibly do to advance your city to the next level. There is a ton of freedom to do whatever you will, even within the main campaign. You'll find yourself spending hours upon hours trying to balance your city perfectly so that you don't bleed cash and throw yourself into debt to the point of no return.

    At the end of the day though, I would say that the game was designed more for the non-campaign modes. There are only around two dozen predefined missions. The replay value comes from either playing randomly generated maps or multiplayer.

    Overall, the game is aesthetically pleasing and there is much to love about the gameplay, as long as you can get past the steep learning curve. I imagine this game gets mixed ratings because of its your-mileage-may-vary kind of gameplay. Or because it's owned by Ubisoft and runs with their DRM.    … Expand

    Before that, I'll have to add that even when installing exclusively through uplay, their third rate steam ripoff, the game has a very real chance of destroying itself by running into a DLC activation loop which can only be alleviated by downloading a massive patcher application, ignoring warnings, console windows popping up etc etc and Ubisoft have no intention of fixing this even years later so no, AC: Unity wasn't the first time they delivered an entirely faulty product and took no action to alleviate it in any proper way.

    Now for the campaign, it serves as a tutorial and does that somewhat well, however, later missions leave exactly as much freedom as any tutorial would: you simply cannot deviate from the path they had in mind. The game has hard checks for everything so even if there is a way to achieve a goal in other ways than suggested by side quests (side!!!! quests), don't try. The next quest will simply assume you did it their way and will require that.

    It is also very lengthy (like: "get 300 people" "get 600 people" "get 1200 people" and so on, just stacking up numbers which are increasingly tedious to achieve, making you sit through the slog that is building just more and more and more of the same lame crap) with really zero excitement over anything. It's just playing fetch on a grand scale, time-wise.
    The mission timers are also off, wouldn't be surprised if they're tied to the frame rate.

    As for bugs, it's a ubisoft game. They never bothered and never will bother to deliver any quality that justifies the price tag. 75% discount is the basic price for any Ubi game.    … Expand

    Well, it is not as good as Anno 1404, but it is a very good game. I just don't like the setting. The game is a bit complex but it is easy to learn, if you are interested in economy-simulations.

    This is a very good game. It's immersive, it's addictive (but not to the point that you just stare at the screen and watch everything play out), it's fun, it's beautiful it's even pretty challenging, but I would almost say that it's not worth getting without the Deep Sea expansion, which allows underwater plateaus to be colonized. These, accompanied by the NPCs make the game really great.This is a very good game. It's immersive, it's addictive (but not to the point that you just stare at the screen and watch everything play out), it's fun, it's beautiful it's even pretty challenging, but I would almost say that it's not worth getting without the Deep Sea expansion, which allows underwater plateaus to be colonized. These, accompanied by the NPCs make the game really great. The NPCs all have pretty innovative personalities, and while you can usually get on the good side of a lot of them (i.e. Tilda Jorgenson), some hate your guts, such as Thor Strindberg.

    These NPCs also occur in the campaign, which, although can take a while is generally rewarding and you feel a sense of accomplishment on them. There is one glitch, which, even though I have not encountered, is something to watch out for. If you destroy an enemy nuclear power plant, that enemy somehow becomes impossible to defeat.

    On normal mode, which I mostly play, at the beginning, you really need to be wary of the NPCs, but in the end game, with enough military power, they're pretty easy to beat.

    MANY complain about the awful Ubisoft launcher, the Uplay launcher, and I can see why. It's not super intuitive, it's INCREDIBLY slow, and also crashes a lot, but once it opens the game, the game runs smoothly (of course, I have a gaming computer, but that's what I got). I also found that it was initially hard to set up. I found the trick was to buy the game from Steam, download it, try to launch it and create a Uplay account, then, when it crashes, go and delete the Uplay files from you x86 programs folder, then go to the Ubisoft website and download the launcher from there. After all of that, launch the game from Steam, which will open the Uplay launcher and allow you to launch Anno 2070.
    The problems I had with the launcher don't affect my score.

    Some improvements I might suggest is that right now the game is very MT. It's 2070! Sure, you can colonize underwater plateaus, but you can't even go to space. There isn't massive futuristic energy generation with possible exception of the undersea geothermal power plant, you still use OIL AND COAL, and the ships are pretty slow. Other than these things great game, would definitely recommend buying.    … Expand

Each step in your cities progress requires you fulfill the peoples needs be it food, entertainment, or plastic plates. This is how all Anno games play so nothing new here... and that is the big problem. There is no innovation in this game whatsoever. Graphic quality is no better than the previous game (Anno 1404) and they actually removed some very big features that make the game a lot less fun.

    I wont go into every problem with the game but I will highlight the two big deal breakers which cost his game a lot of points from my score.

    1) Competitive AI has been completely removed and replaced with a cheating AI. Single player games are no longer fun so if you are not an online person (like myself), this game will suck the big one. In Anno 1404, the AI actually played like a real player and did many of the things a real person might do. It had to settle islands, set up an economy, build defenses and it occasionally attacked. In Anno 2070, it simply cheats. It has no economy, it has unlimited resources from the start, and only settles islands as a matter of aesthetics even though it does not need any of them. It is boring and not fun because there is no longer any strategy. The only way to win is to build a fleet and take them out or wait forever to buy out their shares of an island and take it over (because they are too dumb to buy them back fast enough despite infinite resources...) In older Anno games you had more strategies such as hoarding specific resources by claiming islands of a certain type.

    Next, no land combat... yep you can no longer land on an island and slowly take out major resources or just take over the island. Again, since this is gone, there is a lot less strategy to the game.

    Last, the Ark stinks. Its basically a big cheat and makes an already super easy game into a ludicrous joke. When you equip the ark with an upgrade, it applies to everything in the game and some items are just insanely overpowered like global ship speed increases. Other make the game even more trivial such as shortening the amount of time you need to wait to buy out island shares (normally about 9-10 minutes if memory serves me which is also boring and slow).

    As for new additions to make the game better... well you can now settle underwater islands... but it really is not different than any other island except you cannot have a city down there. Submarines are just like ships. They did add airplanes so that was new. Other than that it is boring. I recommend you stick to older Anno games like 1404 or others. Avoid this one.    … Expand

    Game might be good, but be prepared to be able to fight to get past Ubisofts old fashioned DRM. They should be ashamed.

    I hope this kind of way to treat the buyers is not acceptable anymore, and dies with Anno 2070.

    have not been able to play this game once because Uplay that you need to play this game has never worked and keeps crashing. waste of money as I foolishly bought 2 copies to gift.

    Gonna pirate it because uPlay it's a pain in the.... play. So if you havent buy it you should consider that after many updates uPlay still being a problem. If you can deal with all the issues you will find a good game

    More or less the same as Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery)... the construction menu seems a little bit more organized, but shares same exact mechanics. The graphics are still awesome, but based on the future. Personally I miss some features from the original game, so I will rate it slightly lower.

    I'm an avid gamer, but Anno 2070 is an INSULT to gaming. It is so buggy and half-finished that the first campaign doesn't even work properly and the DRM is INCREDIBLY frustrating to deal with. Once you manage to work your way past the massive amounts of bugs and get through the DRM, HOURS later you finally figure out    I normally don't give bad reviews, but this game was infuriating.

This is the reason why people pirate games, when you buy them, you get screwed over by **** DRM and random software likeDo NOT buy this game, or any game released by Ubisoft.     The graphics are not as good as SimCity or even Banished, but the gameplay is unique.     Again it could have been better, some missions take ages to complete, some require that you destruct a building to build it again, because you did it before the quest asked you too, which might be a bit frustrating, but the game is pretty good

    Conclusion : Do not expect to spend more than 30 hours on it, but you'll have a good time. And if you don't like the futuristic look, there is a 1404 and Venice version    … Expand

Even at mid to low quality settings the game's appearance is breath taking. In my hundreds of hours of playing I have probably spent a good 10-12 hours simply admiring what is presented in the game and what is presented. As a manager and aspiring urban planner, I found this game too good to be true. In the best way possible Anno 2070 has become an alternate reality for me and, given my interests, and vastly fulfilling creative outlet for economic management and urban design.

    The game is extraordinarily complex. After six months of regular playing I am still learning new facts about the game and discovering things I have never noticed before, e.g.terrain details, interfacing options, commentary and technology. It helps that the developers regularly update and enhance the game. For instance, after having played Anno for about 3 months I noticed that the music was suddenly different. There was an entirely new track that I had never heard before. This was quite refreshing given that my expectation from other games is that you have a 30-60 minute soundtrack on a loop that never changes. As is the theme with all Anno games, the resource supply chains are by far the most intricate element of Anno 2070 except that they are arguably even better than what is in previous versions. Instead of supplying resources for essentially one civilization throughout you can and, at a certain stage of the game, must develop resources for up to 3 distinct civilizations. If you like creating and managing resources this is a game you must try.

    A note on DRM. I played Sim City 5 and absolutely hated the DRM used in that game. It was intrusive, poorly planned and poorly executed. Ergo, I am a critic of DRM and generally steer clear of it. However, although many are scathing of the DRM component of this the game, I have found that it is not that bad. In fact, it is not bad at all. I would say that it is actually a boon for the game and motivates me to keep on playing given that there are new missions, campaigns and challenges that are regularly offered only because there is a regular internet connection. And, unlike some other games, you can start, play and save this game without an internet connection. Anno 2070 has demonstrated to me that a developer can plan and execute a DRM system that is mutually beneficial for both creator and user. If other game developers adopted Anno's approach the entire issue of DRM would likely diminish into obscurity. Do not be phased about what people say regarding DRM in Anno 2070. It is a reactionary response to the idea of DRM rather than a reflective commentary of how it actually is.

    I have played many other games of this type (Civilization, Age of Empires, Tropico, Simcity, Rise of Nations, etc.) but this game exceeds them all insofar as you are motivated to play the game from start to finish. At no point is there a lull in game play or a point where you feel like you have "figured the game out" and it is just boring repetition for the same types of rewards. There is a level of repetition in the game, but it is a meaningful kind of repetition that is goal driven and exciting. This game is certainly not for everyone, but if you are like me and you like to get deeply involved in your gaming experience this is a game you must buy.    … Expand

    I have never dealt with any company selling any product or service that treated me, as a consumer of their goods, with such utter contempt. I get DRM. I don't complain about it - they deserve paid for the things they create and sell. Yet the way it's handled on this game is over the top. It's gratuitous - it's just so Ubisoft. To take a great game with some great ideas and just stuff a raised middle finger in your face for buying it. Like they're saying 'HA! See if you can still enjoy it NOW, sucker!' We got 4 hours out of it. There won't be any more and I've managed to talk 3 people out of buying it, hopefully this review saves anyone else from making the same mistake.

    At least I've still got 1404. As someone who's given Ubisoft hundreds of dollars for games this was the last one. The game gets a 2 because of the potential but you can't rate a game highly when it is brimming with so much contempt for its would-be consumers.    … Expand

    I recently purchased Anno 2070 during a steam sale in Feb 2014. I wish I would have heeded the warnings of the other reviewers. Beware, you're entering a **** of DRM the likes of which you've never seen. We're talking a level of paranoia and control of Orwellian proportions. Hopefully I can get the game to launch once Ubisoft is satisfied with my ©ompliance.

AI always asking to do a job for them gets me boring because always the same stuff.     this is a heavy economy based game. there is military in it, even nuklear bombs, but the focus is on building a strong economy and cities. of course you can make war.
    if you get the 'deep sea' addon you can even trade shares/stocks to take over enemy isles without hurting anybody. you can build under the ocean nevertheless, even without addon. but it adds very, very nice features.

    Also nice feature of the game is the 'Arc', lets name it your home base, where you can store items or goods. you get items through research if you build laboratories later in the game.
    as you progress in the game, it is getting harder to fullfill everyones needs but if you manage your economy properly, you should have no problems.

    To be honest, I got into the game after some 50hours of playtime. I took that long until I got the hang of it but it is super fun to play!! It definitely takes time.    … Expand

These games are in essence simulations of reality and a game derives its richness of content by incorporating its complexity and that is one of the foremost reason this game is better than simcity. Simcity is far lacking in detail and has been essentially dumbed down. Anno offers a richer and detailed city building game. Another factor is Anno has advanced strategy element which goes beyond the limited city planning and logistics. One has to at the same time handle economic and military affairs arising due to interaction with cities belonging to other factions. Another factor is the game is graphically mesmerizing, they are truly a treat for the eyes. To conclude I would say this; I have played a lot of city building games and this is quite easily the best one.… Expand

The graphics are absolutely stunning, the game size itself is fantastic and the way the game works such as the politics and the ecology is smart as hell.     So basically the story is that global warming has melted the icecaps and has made most of the planet, aside from the highest mountain peaks, completely uninhabitable. Where have I heard this one before? And wouldn’t the highest mountains be uninhabitable too. This game shows these areas as beautiful and the very view of inhabitable. Really, you would still be at the same height as it always was and the people would die from the cold. But I digress.
    There are two main factions; the Eden Initiative, the good guys I guess, and the Global Trust, or the bad guys. Each has its own high and low points like the Initiative are never short on recourses, but they expand slowly. And the Trust will quickly run out of recourses but will expand faster. Aside from those two things and the look of the buildings, there really is no difference between the two, in my opinion.
    The combat in the game is much like the combat in 1702AD, clunky and slow. Now I love strategy games. Sometimes I’ll get so hooked on Civilization that I lose track on the month that go by, but this system is just so bad. In fact, it’s downright boring. Though the graphics in the game are great and you can see every blade of grass as it gets ripped up and scarred by the rage of war there really isn’t much to the combat. They shoot and the one with greater numbers wins.
    There are several campaigns that add almost nothing to the game, actually most tend to just play the sandbox mode and get the experience of the scenarios in a single play-through instead of restarting every time. And there is almost no story or immersion to speak of. You know you’re playing a game entire time. There is no connection to the characters, no main character that I noticed, and poor endings.
    The only saving grace in this game is that it is a feast for the eyes and has an equally beautiful soundtrack.
    To be honest, this game should get a score of about 4, but due to the beautiful music models and textures in the game and that it does have a good amount of replay-ability, I have to give it a 5. It is an average game with an average experience. Don’t go tripping over the strategy fan-boys to get this one, but it is worth getting if not for early gameplay.    … Expand

The most important problem is, that there is no mechanic that would make you want develop your city. Your citizens always seem to be happy with the level of goods you provide them and only by your initiative you might want to push them forward. There is no needs chain like in old Caesar games, where satisfying one requirement creates another. On top of that, your citizens serve absolutely no purpose (apart from maybe production of money that you don't seem to need that much). The factories/farms/etc don't seem to require any kind of workforce, which dumbs it down even more. On top of that, UI takes time to get used to, and tutorial doesn't seem to cover it well. There is also no way to check the rate at which your resources are used/produced so organizing of your industry takes a lot of boring observation and counting.
    It might seem that economic elements have been simplified in order to make room for more of a military game, but the amount (4?) and usability of battle units doesn't seem to support that at all.
    The MMO aspect of this game is not as fun as it might seem occasional vote over certain matters only seem to provide small bonuses in the game, or lack of them. Interesting idea, but it doesn't really have any real impact on the game.
    As a merit I should probably mention beautiful graphics and seemingly large amount of elements. The game might be entertaining for the first game, and seeing through possible buildings for construction might be fun, just for exploration of possibilities. It is not a bad game in general, it just doesn't seem to have any strategic thought in it other than "how should I put my building around in order them to fit in on my island(s). If you're a big genre fan sure, give it a try, if its on sale. If not look for other game, it's not worth your money or time.    … Expand

    I'm quite new to Anno but I have discovered Anno 1404 2 years ago and loved the game, Anno 2070 does not dissapoint either. The depth of the game is incredible and the online features is also a plus rather than a minus. Anno 2070 has a very nice single player campaign and will keep you busy and intrigued for hours. A must buy for any Anno fan!

    The Moderate: Voice acting is really sub-par. There have been moments when I just click ok to make an avatar stop talking. It can be that bad. As a new player to the genre I found getting started to be somewhat difficult in that not many things are explained well or at all. For example almost every building type needs to be directly connected to a road, so you can't build houses in rows of more than 2 otherwise the inside row will go unhappy and people will leave even though you can see people wandering off-road. Limiting and silly. The tutorialfirst mission I think could be a lot better. It seems to expect you to know what you are doing already. It was frustrating at first but I found a decent lets play on youtube which helped tremendously.

    The Bad (with caveats): DLC spam seems to be rampant in this one with something like 13 separate DLC packs ranging from $0.99 to $29.99. That's part of why I waited for a sale to purchase. I got all the DLC in one pack for an extra six bucks. Most of it is pretty useless, adding things like hedgerows and other minor things to build that add aesthetically but don't enhance gameplay at all. DRM... We all despise DRM especially of late with the Simcity fiasco. When this game came out if you bought it on Steam you were dealing with three! layers of DRM. First Steam, then Uplay, then the hidden solidshield Ubi built in. Also there is apparently a three activation limit. If you are avoiding this game due to these things let me explain what I found in researching this before I bought it, because I don't like DRM either and wouldn't buy it if it were an issue to me. Steam is DRM but it is useful and doesn't get in my way. If I can still play it offline then I am ok with it. Uplay... I don't like it much but It hasn't gotten in the way yet. I lost my net connection for a few hours while playing it and it didn't kick me or anything like that. Some persistent world things associated with your "Ark" aren't available and you can't vote on things, but aside from that you can keep playing and really aren't missing anything. I had a bit of an issue when first activating the game and had to log in three times before I could actually play the game. First logged into Uplay, then started the game and had to log in with my Uplay ID again. Refused my ID so closed the game and restarted and then it logged in successfully. Third time is a charm I guess? No issues since then. Solidshield has been removed from this game. So as of this review the only DRM you will have to mess with is Steam and Uplay, or just Uplay if you get it direct there. The activation limit is still there BUT there seems to be some misunderstanding with this. You get three initial activations. You get one activation returned to you every month. So as long as you aren't reinstalling this thing more than three times a month you won't have anything to worry about. Given that I like Steams convenience, Uplay hasn't gotten in the way, and Ubi listened enough to remove solidshield I personally had no problems with my purchase due to DRM concerns. Hopefully the above info is of use to someone and clears up what seems to be some confusion.

    Overall I recommend this game particularly if you can get it on sale with all the DLC in one go.    … Expand

    I have spent over 200 hours playing this game and would never take those hours back. It is visually pleasant, moderately challenging and a joy to see a futuristic civilisation grow and prosper. The fact that there is nothing in the resource production lines that seems remotely impossible really catches me.

    In the light (or dark) or Ubisoft's draconian DRM which not only limit you to 3 activation, but also 3 hardware changes. Meaning, you upgrade graphic cards or RAM 3 times and you're forever locked out of your game! It's not simply 3 installation anymore, no sir! If you are looking for a game that is more of an RTS then you will likely be disappointed as combat does not feature as a large part of gameplay. If you enjoyed sim city, civilization, and/or caeser, then this is up your alley.     I held off on this because of the 3 activation limit and the DRM issue. I had to give in when it was in the Steam Xmas sale. The activation limit is not a big deal as contacting support gets more activations with no hassle. Purchasing and running through Steam should be enough to take care of the piracy issue without the UPlay layer but there is an offline mode and Steam and UPlay workI held off on this because of the 3 activation limit and the DRM issue. You wont find much new and innovating gameplay mechanics. The underwater stuff is a modified version of the basic island settlement and the only real new system is the envrionmental effects.     Disappointed to discover this game features an overly restrictive DRM system that means (1) you have to have an internet connection to play and (2) if your hardware changes more than three times your game is permanently disabled and cannot be reactivated. My review score reflects the fact that Ubisoft don't care about making the game unplayable for some of their own paying customers.

    A game dedicated for all careful economy and city designers. I prefer it to others such as SimCity or Settlers, as this game has much more content and depth. The graphics and art design are fabulous, the music is a great match, and the whole game has a "relaxing" mood about it.     Anno 2070 is certainly not a game for everyone. If you like city builders, economics, and max/min playing, this game will last you a long time. Also remember the game is about a balance between beauty and functionality. Do not buy this game for the combat or the campaign.

    The game looks great. Very nice presentation, fairly easy to use UI, but like many of the other reviewers, it didn't draw me in. I played it for a few days and just got tired of it. I can't put my finger on anything that made me tired of it, I just put it down.

In the end this isn't a game you want to play often (or pay $50 for), more like play once, burn through the campaign, and build a (half) city and leave it in the bottom of the drawer for a couple months.     Unfortuanlly so far the only thing I have learned is that I have to register an account on a server that does not responds.     It's a really good game that adds up on the old Anno games. The time change doesn't change anything in the Anno experience you get delivered. Every single "Endless-Game" lasts really really long and you catch yourself playing with some friends playing 6-8 hours in a row and joking about the messages "You already played 8 hours! You should take a break!" that appear every few hours ^^

    Moving to future was a very bad move. Anno series have always been about history, i.e. city-building and economic management in various eras of human history. The graphics are nice and the usual game mechanism is still there, but the time setting ruined everything. They turned an awesome historical game into just another futuristic crap we see popping up everywhere lately.

You need to build your workers some homes - do you want to perhaps build a nice line or houses, or perhaps a high rise apartment building, or how about a group of town houses? NOPE! There is one kind of house to build and one only (per faction). Sure, it upgrades, but you really have no choice of building the city you want to build. All in all, the only thing this game did for me was make me want to pull out SimCity again, which is imo the standard of the genre upon which all others should be judged.     From what i have experienced Anno 2070 actually makes you feel like your in a global setting through the senate and global stats. Not only are these things compelling, but they have just added a new game type/mode, Conquest... This takes multi-player to a whole new level... Conquest is in it's beta stages, but is available to all players. The way multiplayer works aside from conquest is you can invite or create an open game where others may join you on the map you have chosen to host. The gameplay doesn't change drastically aside from having somebody in your space that may enjoy racing you to all the islands or blocking off your trading routes... These things make multiplayer a very rich/fresh environment...

    Final Thoughts: It's a damn shame that more people aren't grouping up to create a nice english anno 2070 gaming group... If you agree with this then email me... After recieving 10 emails ill reply with a raidcall group id name and you can come in and enjoy speaking with other anno players... Rating: 9/10 -Would have a 10 if the combat was a bit more detailed... It's basically a rock/paper/scissors combat style with a small amount of ships/aircraft/units... Gameplay seems a bit gimmicky and unsatisfying, and the campaign is basically a dull chain of just performing actions an advisor tells you to. After finally mastering one class on a difficult mission with slow, paced progress (30+ hours) I truly began to appreciate how the game operates. After more gameplay, I realized that although many games start with the same set of movements and patterns, the variety of objectives gives a lot of alternative and creativity for how the player can meet the objective.

    I see many more hours of gameplay for me, and so far the content released after ship has been worthwhile, as has the mission pack DLC. Because of this, I see my relationship with this game and its developers staying positive and this game remain in my memory as a good one.... as long as the DRM continues to operate for me :)    … Expand

    The way a RTS City manager simulation is supposed to be. This game is an eloquent merger of RTS with Breathtaking graphical prowess. The level of detail in the AI is engaging and ensures many days of no-sleepers.

    The DRM is Draconian; so much that It punished legitimate gamers that actually don't mind paying for such a gem.

    The gameplay is fair for this kind of game. The quests continue in the line of 1404, although a bit dull, repetitive and way too easy. The AI sadly suffers from the same issues as 1404 in my opinion:
    -the easy AI is plain dumb and easy manouvrable
    -the medium AI is boring
    -the hard AI is suicidal, cheating and not suited for any real-life simulation of sorts
    Replayability value ? Quite limited, not too much to do.

    All in all, a not-so-worthy successor of 1404.    … Expand

    Highly addictive game, will keep you playing for hours in continuous mode!! I would love to give this game 10/10, however there are a few details Ubisoft needs to work on.

    1) Larger maps
    2) More selection of merchant and military ships as well as aircraft
    3) Larger islands

    Few details, however I think are important in continuous mode. Other than that highly recommended!!

    I have enjoyed Anno 2070 for many, many hours now, and it has not once disappointed. The graphics are wonderfully rich and vibrant and the game-play is quite enjoyable. At first I was a bit confused about the campaign missions, as there didn't seem to be a whole lot of content there. By the time I was on the last few campaign missions, I couldn't wait to start a continuous game and really explore the game. I also had a good laugh when the game told me I had played continuously for more than two hours, and that maybe I should stretch my legs a bit. The continuous game mode has many options for you to tweak your experience, from an easy and relaxing city building and exploration focused game, to a fast-paced race for resources while fighting off pirates. Only able to install on three computers, so it is stuck on my laptop that can't run it, and my current PC. One more install or reformat and I won't be able to play it anymore, this is stupid.     I registered with Ubisoft using my email address and by mistake, used the same password that I use for my Gmail address. After about 2 hours, I receive a notice from Gmail that my account had been accessed from an IP address overseas and they recommended that I change my password immediately. In my 7 years of owning that Gmail account, that has never happened to me. I do have a few complaints about the game but fortunately they're not anything that makes the game unplayable. Worthless Tutorial/Encyclopedia: There's really no explanation anywhere of how various game mechanics interact. Eventually you figure it out on your own but it's a slow, tedious process. In-Game Missions: Mostly fetch quests, highly repetitive, they get tedious fairly quick. Resource Managing: You spend a lot of time just staring at your warehouse inventory trying to tell if you're running out of a good. The game could use some sort of intuitive graph or pie chart system to help the player plan for future resource requirements. This last thing didn't bother me at all because I don't play games like this for a combat experience but.. Weak Combat: You can build 2 warships and I think 1 or 2 warplanes is all. Combat is simple as in you tell your boat to attack another boat and then you sit there watching bullets fly for a minute until one of them explodes. Overall it's a fun game, at least as fun as the Civilization series (to me).… Expand

Unfortunately, it also has annoying DRM and requires an Ubisoft login, doesn't offer much of any flexibility in how you complete missions, and it's also buggy enough that I couldn't finish it. The beginning of the campaign was too easy, while simultaneously taking a long time becauseI've enjoyed a few of the Anno series, and if you want more of the same, this game might give it to you.     Definitely the best Anno game so far. The campaign is really well written, and it takes multiplayer to new level. I've already racked up 90 hours playing it.
