Among Trees is a beautiful, peaceful, serene trip into a fantasy woodland, and if you can just enjoy being there without worrying about the game aspect too much, it’s a lovely escape from the stresses of civilization.

If you're thinking of playing Among Trees and you know you need extrinsic motivators to hold your interest, you'll want to wait until the Early Access schedule is further along. If you're down for a laid-back forest hiking game and you enjoy charting your own course just for the heck of it, give it a chance. [Early Access review]

  3. My living situation in Among Trees is better than my real life. I cannot fully describe how delightful and relaxing it is to wake up in my cabin and look at the morning light streaming into my new greenhouse.

This game is just so visually stunning to look at, each frame a work of art. The sound of the birds chirping, or the river, or the occasional bees are really immersive. The soundtrack kicks in randomly while taking a stroll but it is so good. I wanted to play this game for the peace of mind, and it provided just that. Just sit back, put on your headphones and relax. This game is calming unless you run across a Bear that is. It's also so amazing watching your small log cabin grow bigger and bigger into a manor, every time you build an extensions. Overall, it is a short but amazing game and well worth it. Highly recommended to anyone looking for something to enjoy or fill that dose of firewatch. Full Review »
