   This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I fell in love with this game from nearly the start as it goes slow for the first few minutes then things get going to a final crescendo that i thought i had already guessed but as with most good games of this type its not always as you think it is. The best part of this game is the sound effects and music, i highly recommend using headphones to play or playing via a really good sound setup. There were many times that a sound wasnt what it what you thought it was hence the insanity name in the title. If your into the post apocalyptic genre then you need to check this one out, oh and the end of the game isnt when you finally get outside ;)… Expand

It's not terrible, nor is it unplayable. The story is not bad, the enviromental backgrounds and graphics are actually pretty good and the music is very well done. The atmosphere is okay, but it is not a true horror game to what I have played, there are some scary scenes but not a game like Amnesia: The Dark Descent or OUTLAST which you will get some good scares, but reminds me like I am playing Alan Wake or Eternal Darkness with their pyschological horror. But, there are some flaws, the sound effects are terrible, they sound like they were taken from a cheap sound website or from a cheap B-Movie, the voice acting is not bad, the main character's voice is awful, it's like the voice actor who voiced the main character was not bothered or was bored when recording, as it sounds pretty boring. The other actors voices are not bad, but still not up to good quality standards. The combat is awful, it looks like everyone has problems like the exorcist having spasims (if that's how you write it) and I have encountered some glitches and bugs, like doors won't open and I have to reload to the last checkpoint, and sometimes the game freezes momentarily which bugs me, but overall the game is not terrible and is quite a good game if you are bored from other games and feel like playing a game that has a mediocre gameplay and story. Afterfall Insanity is the game for you, Afterfall Insanity: Extended Edition includes the DLC with it. The DLC honestly is a waste, why on earth would you call it DLC if there is only two modes, Dirty Arena (in which you use melee weapons, and as you progress you use guns) and Second Strike (in which you use guns), which the gameplay just consists of wave after wave of enemies, then when you reach the fifth wave you get the boss. What a waste. Now I can understand if it was in Co-Op or Multiplayer, but not on your own! I understand the story focuses on just one guy, but on the DLC, the player and his friends or other players could of played as the main character, Karolina, the colonel, anyone of the characters mentioned, but nope, just you all by yourself, hitting and shooting your way through five waves over and over again, boring. What a waste on a good idea for DLC. Don't try the DLC, unless you are interested in what the DLC holds (like me), then by all means, try it... just don't expect anything good out of it! And if this is what DLC should be, then thank god I don't waste my money of this type of "downloadable content"… Expand

You could close your eyes to this if the game really came out 10 years ago. Although it is much worse projects, developers have borrowed from different games and something that looks quite to myself that to say this game is quite possible to go and have fun (in some ways), but no more. The weak part is the moment when we come to the surface and the game turns from horror into a regular curve shooter. The first part is something about Dead space corridor with monsters and infected, but then a purely Polish shooter without interesting features. In General, even the plot may surprise, though already seen in films and similar games, but the plot twist at the end before the credits...well, kind of OK on the fate of the hero I don't care if I survived about 5 hours.

   Проект 15 летней давности по ощущениям, хотя дата выхода стоит конец 2011 года. Самая слабая сторона это техническая часть, больше похоже на подделки из Greenlight в Steam. Можно было бы закрыть глаза на это если бы игра действительно вышла лет 10 назад. Хотя бывает намного хуже проекты, разработчики позаимствовали из разных игр и кое что смотрится вполне себе, что говорить эту игру вполне можно пройти и получить удовольствие (в некотором роде), но не более. Слабой частью считаю момент когда мы выходим на поверхность и игра превращается из хоррора в обычный кривой шутер. Первая часть это что то около Dead Space коридорного с монстрами и зараженными, а вот потом чисто польский шутер без интересных возможностей. В целом даже сюжет может удивить, хоть уже и не раз виден в фильмах и похожих играх, но сюжетный твист в самом конце перед титрами...ну тип ок, на судьбу героя мне все равно, хоть я им и выживал около 5 часов.… Expand

That's a big selling point for me so I was initially delighted despite terrible (and it is terrible) voice acting. The story seemed interesting and I found myself sitting back ready to enjoy a wonderful game. Then I reached the combat. The combat in this game is boring at best and frustratingly unresponsive at worst and it became a chore after the first few encounters. Then the story began to fall to the pressure of cliche, so that facet of my immersion left me as well. I beat the game, but by the end it was only because I wanted to get it out of the way. Was I disappointed? Yes, I was disappointed.… Expand

Bad controls, broken and BORING gameplay, there is no atmosphere (its just dark. and thats it) bad story, bad sound effects, horrible voice acting, thousands of bugs, laughable animations.. the only good thing is the graphics. Horrible piece of sh*t, waste of time, waste of money, waste of life, waste of f*ckin keyboard (actually i broke my keyboard because of the horrible checkpoint system, and i have no money for a new one), so thanks afterfall insanity, you ruined my week.… Expand
