Oct 24, 2020The Adventures of Christ is not a typical platformer! It is challenging in a good way. The unique mechanics and learning curve give me a sense of “im getting it. Just one more try!” The dialogues are fun enough to keep me reading without a skip.

Dec 22, 2020Overall, Adventures of Chris is a perfectly pleasant, charming and nostalgic trip for anyone who grew up in the 1990s. It plays well, it's colorful and charming, and it has an amazing soundtrack. Only an over-reliance on somewhat mean-spirited jokes drags it down, but that is largely ignorable. It doesn't do anything special or unique, but if you just want a relaxing little platformer to play, then Adventures of Chris has you covered.

Nov 30, 2020Adventures of Chris doesn’t break new ground in the 2D platformer genre. Still, it provides genuine humour, personality and variety in bucketloads, all while sending a few loving glances to the 16-bit era of videogames.

Oct 27, 2020My overall impression of The Adventures of Chris is very high. I love old-school platformers and there have been more of these popping up lately. They aren’t overly difficult or too easy to learn and play either. If you didn’t play games like this on Nintendo and Sega then you have no clue how hard games used to be compared to these. For $14.99 USD on Steam and Nintendo Switch, it is a bargain value for a good title. Have fun taking out giant spiders, bats, frogs, and other oversized creatures on your way to becoming the hero today.
