    The game suggests you an incredible co-op mode. It was brilliant experience. It's the best game for passing together. This is a whole story told to us about friendship, loyalty, family values, team work and betrayal.
    Excluding the unpleasant ending, generally it was a really good game. The graphics, environment, gameplay was really good.

    If I had to describe "A wat out", I would say it is cinematographic adventure, with action and stealth, for exactly 2 players. And this is the most important thing about the game. If you can't play with someone else, this game is not for you in the same way as if you don't like FPS, Doom is not for you.

    On the other hand, many people complain about the difficulty, saying that this is a very easy game. Yes, it is easy, you won't die too often, and when you do, it happens more because you dind't understand the situation rather than difficulty. But think about it: if you died more often, the story would advance too slow. And the story is one of the most important things here.

    The choices are not relevant for gameplay, but for the story the game is telling you. I will put an example: you can either threat someone or lie to get some information. Is it relevant? Well, it will tell you this story in different ways depending on your choice. It is not relevant in the same way as The Witcher 3, for example.

    The ending is absolutely mindblowing. Doesn't matter if you like it or not, you have to recognice is one of the best things we can see in videogames.

    The reason for not giving it the perfect score are the graphics. Overall, they are really nice, considering that the game was made by a little studio. And the graphics are not that important here, except for one thing that I missed: facial expressions. Someone might be laughing, screaming or just talking and they always have the same face. This puts me out of the context. Also, even though I speak, write and understand English, and the game has texts translated into Spanish, I would have enjoyed voices too, specially during the action parts of the game.

    Overall, I highly recommend this game, just bare these things in mind not to expect what the game is not.    … Expand

    Para mi punto de vista, un juego único, revolucionario combinando una buena historia y con la posibilidad de invitar y jugar con un amigo.

    Gameplay: Hay que destacar mucho esto porque me encantaría ver juegos mas de este estilo. Se trata de una campaña de 2 protagonistas principales, la cual uno lo controlas tú y otro tu amigo.     Historia: Es muy buena, se trata de 2 prisioneros en la cual se la rebuscan para poder escapar y lograr su misión de venganza. No es muy atrapante ya que lamentablemente es un juego corto, no más de 10 horas, me hubiera gustado que sea más largo. 9/10

    Graficos: Los graficos son buenos, tiene el efecto como si fuera una película pero lamentablemente no es inmersivo, estaria bueno que esté más desarrollado el movimiento facial de los personajes. 8/10

    Sonido: 5/10

    No tiene DLCs ni ningún contenido extra, raro de ver en EA

    En conclusión, recomiendo absolutamente A Way Out, es una experiencia única para jugar con un amigo, es un juego económico y más si pagan mitad y mitad con un amigo.    … Expand

    It's a great action-adventure game plus It's a Co-Op game! In the couch market we are in need of games like this one. It a great experience with a friend but the game Itself fails to deliver in It's story.

Initially, the game positions itself as directed toward the plot. The gameplay in it is far from the main thing. The whole trick in the plot and the joint passage with a beloved friend whom you trust. Yes, the whole point of the game, the main theme is trust. And I assure you, they revealed this topic, albeit from an unexpected side for us. The sad side, unfortunately. A bad end (not in terms of quality) can ruin the impression, but this is the logical and final conclusion to the story. It should be so. In the end, it’s useful to cry sometimes :)))… Expand

    I really enjoyed most of my time playing this game. It's a pretty good co-op game and if you can hang out with your buddy its a pretty fun experience. Some of the jokes are pretty good and the action parts were great.The story was alright and I mostly enjoyed the ending between those 2 characters and the so called twist. Overall a really good co-op game which are hard to have nowadaysI really enjoyed most of my time playing this game. It's a pretty good co-op game and if you can hang out with your buddy its a pretty fun experience. Some of the jokes are pretty good and the action parts were great.The story was alright and I mostly enjoyed the ending between those 2 characters and the so called twist.     Very unique game. My brother and I really enjoyed it. It's a little bit more guided than I would like. I mean, in most cases, you have to figure out exactly what they want you to do. Overall very cinematic and interesting game for co-op two player.

    I played it through Origin access with one of my best friends online and we started trying to role play a little bit and go along with the story...but it was impossible. The dialogue in this game is so cheap lousy, that makes the story totally not interesting. The voice acting is one of the worst I've come across and there was no sound mixing in this game. Everything sounds so raw and unpolished. The graphics are nothing special overall, but there's one thing that really baffles me...the FACES! They used motion capture for this game and they look SO BAD! This game will repeat some of the most familiar action film cliches and will just NOT STOP repeating them.

    Well...what about gameplay? Non-existent!
    There is no gameplay, just some random clicking in the middle of this TERRIBLE film that is A way out.

    I will give this game 1 star instead of 0 because it was so bad that we actually had some laughs from it, plus the fact that it was just about 6 or 7 hours so not much time spent on it nonetheless.
    If you want to see how NOT to develop a game, give this one a try.    … Expand

    Great Game, especially in this short time. You got QuickTime-events, sneak-missions, Gunplay and amazing story with unexpected end. It's not only a prison break, it's a really good friendship. One Detail I really loved are the smartly build in the levels minigames all around the story.

While the actual gameplay ranges from "pretty decent" to "underwhelming", the craft on display by Josef Fares and Hazelight Studios makes for an incredibly immersive, well-directed cinematic experience, with special mentions going to the incredibly smooth transitions from scene to scene, owing to Fares' background as a film director.Such an incredibly charming, cheesy, yet emotional game. While the actual gameplay ranges from "pretty decent" to "underwhelming", the craft on display by Josef Fares and Hazelight Studios makes for an incredibly immersive, well-directed cinematic experience, with special mentions going to the incredibly smooth transitions from scene to scene, owing to Fares' background as a film director. Homages and references to classic movies are strewn about, always adding to the fun cheesiness factor of the game - the Scarface-esque mansion at the end or the Oldboy sequence in the Hospital stand out to me for making me grin and giggle with my buddy in excitement, and that's what A Way Out is really good at - making you have fun with a good buddy - be it a round of Connect 4, a jam session on the piano and banjo, or just chucking horseshoes at a barn, the game shows this friendly-buddy dynamic between the two main characters so incredibly well, making the ending that much more impactful.

    Of course, if you're looking for a co-op game with intense gameplay, A Way Out isn't quite the thing you're looking for, and not playing couch co-op/a good friend will definitely be a detracting factor as well, but this game was some of the most fun I've had for an afternoon or two. Hopefully Josef Fares will be making more co-op experiences in the future!    … Expand

    Отличная игра! Лучшая реализация локального кооператива, интересная история, погружение в сюжет вместе с персонажами игры. Звуковое сопровождение не отстает. Не знаете во что поиграть вдвоем ? Эта игра будет лучшим выбором. Проходится быстро, но время потрачено не зря! Рекомендую 9/10Отличная игра!     Great story, awesome experience to play this game, but it requires you to play with a friend, but due to this you only need 1 copy and invite your friend to play with you without him/her needing a copy of the game.
    Great graphics, great voice acting with face capture(i believe).

    Awesome game. I enjoyed playing with a friend. Passed in one breath. I really liked the story. An unexpected ending, for which a special thank you. We need more such this games.

    Hazelight’s interactive movie sets a new standard for co-op games. It’s varied, thrilling, very pretty and enjoyable for both hardcore and casual gamers. It evokes tons of positive emotions and I can’t remember last time an action game moved me so much. [05/2018, p.50]
