Nov 9, 2020A solid nostalgic experience for every male in their late forties that can't forget that chirstmas evening in Nakatomi Plaza. The fairly original mechanic, "immersive" mini games and chicken throwing as well as the reasonable plot almost compensate the cheesy lines and absurd scenes. Its never been so easy to find somebody in Mexico.

Mar 23, 2018Looks like an epic fail.
Poor gameplay, awful shooting from 2005, worst story ever with stupidest actions - all the worst in gaming stored here.
But dev's definitely tried to do better.

Mar 25, 2018Had high hopes but this game is so boring.
You can barely ever actually play the game as most of your 'played' hours is just watching cut scenes.
The game is also ridiculously easy, there is almost no way you can fail.
Would've been better if they just made a movie instead of this failure of a game.
Never been this happy to get a refund. -
Apr 2, 2018Wtf is this game even?!
I thought it was a "escapist" type of game, but no, and then the ending is so much dog trash, that i don't recommend, you even spend 1 penny on it.
Ànd this just makes me hate EA, even more, cause holy **** a way to kill a game, that i was sooo excited for. -

Apr 17, 2018Hahaha wow, so many flaws by EA. Most scripted 'game' I ever played. Or should I say watched since it's all a big cutscene with useless drama that noone cares for. It's about pressing E really. It had a nice concept with the split screen coop but didn't really deliver. At all! It doesn't deserve this good rating, I mean come on people.

Feb 23, 2019Trash game that forces co-op when you could easily solo all of the content, the second player is just a forced gimmick that ruins the game for no reason other than the person who made the game is stupid.
-
Mar 31, 2018Never mind the bugs, the game is short (less than 4 hours) and extremely boring. The interaction is all a bluff, since you only get to interact for an extremely limited time (in the prison). Once you complete the game there is zero scope in replay.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Sep 13, 2018An adventure game with an original idea that is diminished by shorter game time, a slightly repetitive gameplay, lower difficulty and a gradual diversion towards action. [Issue#285]
-
Jun 6, 2018Thanks to its purely co-op gameplay, A Way Out is a beautiful experience, which heavily involves both players throughout the adventure.

CD-ActionJun 5, 2018Hazelight’s interactive movie sets a new standard for co-op games. It’s varied, thrilling, very pretty and enjoyable for both hardcore and casual gamers. It evokes tons of positive emotions and I can’t remember last time an action game moved me so much. [05/2018, p.50]
